I went in to take my biometrics today! And the security there was very helpfull. He asked if I had my receipt paper and I said yes that I had the two envelopes one stating they received my application and one stating I made payment. Because I brought those two he said I was able to do two things at once and will make my application run faster I got my fingersprints taken and picture.. Lady asked if I was satisfied with the pic since that was going to be on the card they will be mailing. Once I was done she reminded me that I was going to receive another appointment notice in the mail but she said to ignore it since I did both things today. So I asked if that was it, if I had to come in again. And she said nope now I just gotta wait for my card in the mail.

Only 29 approved so far? Even though the process is going faster than expected, that seems like a low number considering how many applied.

I had been very stressed out the past week to see that everyone had received their biometric appointments, and I decided to call USCIS. I was given the good/bad news that they did send out my biometrics appointments and that it was in 2 hours... How was I to go to my appointment if I didnt have an ASC notice to take in? They asked me for a fax number which I dont have because they cant email it to you to just print out. Thank God my mother in law has a fax number so they faxed it to her and I got in to my appointment. I went to the ASC office located in El Paso TX. When I arrived, a security guard took my ASC biometrics appointment notice and my ID, I used my "matricula consular" because its a government issued ID and its not expired yet, I also took in birth certificate just in case as proof. I got there and it was EMPTY. There were only 2 other persons there and they werent even my age, they were elderly. I was asked to fill out a form with sex, weight, hair color, eye color, etc.. After that I was called to the back where my fingerprints and photo were taken along with my signature. In all this process took LESS than 15 minutes.....SUPER HAPPY!!!!

They haven't released why they are rejecting certain applicants yet.
