    USCIS Multiple Approval Texts

I was approved yesterday but I thought I should bring up the number of texts one receives from USCIS regarding ones case. I kid you not, Up to today at 616pm (mountain time) I have received 6 texts from USCIS regarding my case. One that the DACA was approved Two that Ive been approved for an EAD Three that they sent out the DACA approval notice in the mail Four that my EAD was being printed Five that EAD would be mailed Six that EAD has been picked up by USPS and should arrive within 7 days Thanks for the info USCIS, but receiving soo many texts from you worried me and made me scared checking my status that maybe you changed your mind and denied my DACA and EAD This is just a heads up for anyone else that receives "multiple" texts, to not worry. It seems USCIS can be very precise at times..

Things like that is just what makes the immigration system so corrupt. I mean what's the difference between if you came at 15 or 18. Who's to say that you enter the the United States at 18. What is the difference between that and entering at 15. I mean who wants to leave the family and not enter the United States. I mean what do you tell your parents, that I will become illegal if I overstay the visa. Would you defy your family knowingly that you will be undocumented within time. That's the parents fault and not the child's, just like a 15 year old would not even ask to stay back because he doesn't have the knowledge about overstaying in the United States would become undocumented within time. Where as 100% of the time an 18 year old would have some proper knowledge about how the system works in the states. I believe they need to have exceptions for people who can prove they meet all of the requirements except for the age limit. If they can prove they are of good standing they will be eligible to apply. These terms of being able to prove your in good standing should be determined by a group of people if this were to go into effect.

Envious of those with a chance

I have been in the United States for 13 years now. There is nothing else that I detest than to see someone who has the opportunity to be something and make someone out of themselves but take no action. As an immigrant, people don't understand how limited we are to goals, dreams or life itself. Being an immigrant has pushed me back multiple years from my 'to do list' or my 'what will I be in 5 to 10 years from now'. Being approve and given the chance to work legally or drive safely without having to look behind my shoulder periodically, would be one of the best things that could happen to anyone in our situation. So many paths will be open to us and I feel as if I can't waste anytime. I want to proof to those that have seen me as a failure because they have no idea of my situation that given the chance, I can be the best person I can be. I want to show my family that I want to better myself and live a better life than the one provided not just for myself, but for them as well. There are so many things I have been wanting to do for so long, that it infuriates me to not be able to keep moving forward with goals, dreams, life itself. Don't take opportunities for granted and take full advantage of them. We never know when another chance will come along. Don't be that person who will be asking themselves "what if" just do it. Let's show together that United States needs us as much as we need them.

    I recommend Walk-Ins for Biometrics

I understand every case is different and people are scared and worried about sensitive stuff like this. But from when I did my biometrics today, you should be able to walk-in to your biometrics the next day you get your letter. I saved myself 16 days by doing it early. So I recommend you doing this as well. Only downfall is that you might have to wait a little for them to call your name because other people have appointments scheduled that day. Good luck.

Unfortunately, you do not qualify. You must meet ALL of the guidelines to qualify for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and as you already know, one of the requirements is to have come to the United States before reaching the age of 16. If you send in your application, it would be automatically denied.

    USCIS Multiple Approval Texts

I never received a text for my bio, I found out about my bio by calling USCIS and did it the same day since it was scheduled. Up to where I know, when you sign up for updates with the USCIS website, they'll send you emails, texts or both. You pick. But I signed up for both and only got multiple texts of DACA being approved and EAD on its way and so forth...

i wholeheartedly agree with you, Cochoz. when i was younger, i know that i was totally jealous of those around me and the fact that they were able to do what ever they want, when they wanted to. even my sister and brother (both younger). but as i got older, i realized that those who do have the option of doing what they please, do not know any different. they dont know what it is like to not be able to drive, or work or do anything else that you want to do. all we can do from this point on is, live the life that we want to live and be the productive people that our families and people in our corner want us to be. NO MORE and for sure NO LESS

He seems pretty emotional about the topic. Im glad he seems so dedicated, people like that, are whom we need on our side. However, he also sees the potential in the people that are getting approved by DACA. Potential future voters who would be guarenteed voters if he runs for higher offices..
