    Processing time after Election.

Hi my name is Jesus:) Anyway, I'm pretty sure USCIS is expecting an increase of applications for DACA since Obama has won re-election. This means that USCIS could possibly be backed a little in these upcoming months for sure. Its hard to say that people who sent their request on October will be approved by December. I'm one of those october people:p Anyway, I highly recommend for anyone that hasnt applied yet to apply now and quickly! Best of luck to all of you. And for those who already got their EADs, I wish you the best in life. Oppurtunities like this rarely happen, but because of us, it did happen. Tootaloo;)

    Hi, my name is Nilvia

Helloo to everyone!! Best of luck on all of your applications!! Ok well here's my story.. I was born in Mazatlan, Sinaloa.. When I was a year old, my mother decided to take me and my older sister to live in the U.S. because life with my biological father was full of suffering and poverty. So we came to California (mom y mi hermana crusaron asi de atiro como illegales, por la frontera con los coyotes, pero como yo solo tenia un ano, pase en carro como un bebe con papeles! haha ^-^) In Cali, mom worked a ton and later decided Cali was wayyy to dangerous to raise my sister, my new baby bro, and me, so we moved to Iowa. In Iowa we moved around a few times, til we got to where we are now, where we've been for almost a decade!! It was here in Iowa that my beautiful awesome amazing wonderful mother not only learned English, but also got her GED!! If there is one person in this world that I love more than anything in the world, it my mami!! So anyway, unlike most of you, I ALWAYS knew, since I was a little girl, that I was in this country illegally and I don't have as many opportunities as others do... PERO, my amazing mother always told me to just hang in there and keep trying!!! Thanks to her, I always did great in school and was able to get some scholarships that don't require an SSN, regardless, college is still wayyyy expensive! I am going to the University of Northern Iowa and lets just say its not cheap!! That's why Im soooo excited that I got my EAD last week and am only waiting for the SSN now! That's my life in a nutshell, but I guess I left out all the negatives... Yea, I've been (am) poor, yea I had a shitty stepfather, yea it's been hard to find decent jobs, yea I've gotten pullled over and ticketed a bunch of times, yea life isn't easy.... Pero saben que???? YO NO ME RINDO PORQUE SIEMPRE HAY ESPERANZA Y CON LA AYUDA DE DIOSITO Y LA VIRGENSITA, SI SE PUEDE!!!!!! Best of luck to everyone, I honestly hope that everyone's process goes as smoothly as mine, and no matter what, don't you ever give up!! Don't ever give anyone the pleasure of seeing you give up!! Cuz we've all probably encountered someone in our lives that said we won't or shouldn't make it, pero con una chingada ya dije que SI SE PUEDE!! Adios, y que Dios los acompane!!

    Keep Track of DACA Process

So I got this idea to help follow and track progress, add the following info to your signature FROM YOUR PROFILE. If you need help, just reply here. Use the following format: Date Application Sent - The Lockbox the application was sent to - Mailing Method (Express, priority, certified) etc. - Date delivered - Date acceptance letter of application received - Date of I-797 C Notice of Action (Application Approved) - Date Biometrics scheduled - Date of EAD received - You can color it, fix it however you would like!

    Shady lawyers?

Go and ask that attorney, or if it's been more than 30 days you can always call and ask what's going on. Maybe the letters got lost, and he sure doesn't want to miss the biometrics or the case might get closed. Just call them.

    So Obama won...Thoughts? Dream Act?

I have been listening to different news stations throughout the day, and at the end when Obama was announced the winner, a lot of people were bringing up the subject of Immigration and Latino/Hispanic voters. What was said was that Republicans need to get together with the Democrats on the subject of Immigration. 71% of the Latino votes went to President Obama. I believe Republicans might look at this as a wake up call telling them that they can no longer put Latinos and Hispanics aside and that they need to change their position on Immigration. I believe that there is a good possibility for passage of the Dream Act/CIR. It will just come down to when Obama will bring it up and work with Republicans to get their votes because I believe Republicans will be more lenient about this subject.

Guide before you mail in stuff

G-1145 is filled out if you want to be notified by e-mail or text when the lockbox receives your application and routes it to a processing center. It will also include your Receipt Numbers for the I-821D and the I-765. Either way, you will get 2 receipts by mail with the same information.

You're going to need the EAD in hand in order to apply for a Social Security Card. You can't apply for an SSN with just DACA approval. http://www.ssa.gov/p...rred_action.pdf

Who Will WIN? OBAMA V ROMNEY?

I haven't seen an electoral map that doesn't have Obama in the lead and I'm sure he will get the rest of the votes needed to win, but you never know, some people will vote for their partie's candidate no matter what they say.

Seems Vermont may be skipping people now since Fredo87 got his biometrics done on September 25th. Nebraska Center also did that a few times. Regardless, I believe all those who havent been approved yet, will eventually be approved. Good luck to all!!!

    Planning after approved DACA

I agree that this is a temporary solution and unfortunately it seems its just a way of being legally "illegal". I also think we will have to work hard, for when the time comes to renew and we are asked, "What have you done these 2 years?" I can show that Ive been productive. I do hope that if Obama wins he grants us what we've been waiting for, the official DREAM Act. I received my EAD today and am already studying the drivers manual for Texas. I will apply for a SS card as soon as possible and by the time I recevive it, I will be ready to take my DL test. Good luck to everyone!!!
