    School loans?

as far as federal student loans, i dont believe that we will be able to because we will only have legal presence and not legal status. i know in CA, one can qualify for CAL grants and private scholarship money but not federal monies. i would ask the bank you do business with or maybe go to the financial aid department at the school you go to or want to go to and see what your options are.

i think if you call again, what they might tell you is to make an appointment at a USCIS office in order to find out what's going on. they really dont tell you a lot on the phone, which i think is completely stupid, but yeah. so if you have a USCIS office close to you then i would make an appointment to see what's going on. this link is to find a field office near you. https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=LO and this link is to setup an InfoPass appt. you'll need it for the appointment along with an ID. http://infopass.uscis.gov/ hope it helps.

    Getting a Driver's License

After you obtain your EAD and SSN it is time to get your State ID or DL. Hopefully the state you live in grants DL or IDs to dreamers. Requirements vary among states but here are the general guidelines. 1. Study the driving manual. You can find what your DMV requires when applying for a DL. You can always go online and download the manual as a PDF. 2. At the DMV, take your EAD and SSN cards as proof of identity. They might ask you for one more ID so you can take a valid photo ID such as a passport of maybe a school ID? 3. Proof of residency - You can take a letter, bill, shipping receipts, etc. 4. Take the written driving test based on the particular state's manual. 5. Take the "behind the wheel" driving test. Please add more details if I missed something.

    I Dont Feel Like.....

There has been some talk that those who have already been approved have turned their back on those still waiting to be approved or have completely lost interest in what happens with DACA or future immigration topics. I, for one, will have to say that I COMPLETELY and UTTERLY disagree with this. Think about it. For the most part, there were some of us that had ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD to log into the forum and help others out and encourage those around us in the same situation. HOWEVER, now that a lot of us (at least on this forum) who have been approved and received their EADs, SSNs, and DLs, we are living the life that we have always wanted to live and doing so without fear. We are getting jobs, and driving, and being productive and in doing so we no longer have the same amount of time we once did when it comes to logging on. For this, NO ONE should be made to feel guilty and NO ONE should make someone feel guilty. I also think that is goes against the morality of Dreamers Movement for making someone feel guilty because they are being a productive person. If this offends anyone, i will not apologize for it nor should I have to. I feel at this point in time that I have helped when I was able to help and will continue to do so in the time that I am able to given my busy schedule.

    I Dont Feel Like.....

I dont see how now that Im the one sharing my opinion or view on what another member said is fueling the fire. Im just pointing out what was said and if you dont believe me or think im making it up please look up that past post. Those things were said and I respect everyone opnions even that members but once you start insulting or degrading others then I have a problem with people like that. I just like everyone else is entitled to my opinion and I am going ot be careful to give it and not step on anyones toes or insult them. So sorry for insulting anyone or annoying anyone with my opinion but youre all right, im done discussing something thats in the past...

if you received notice that USPS sent back your EAD, this means that USPS no longer has it and USCIS does. which means that you need to call USCIS and ask them to resend it. they will put in a request to the service center that your application is at. dont know how long it takes for the service center to sent it back to you but after you talk to USCIS, you will get a letter in the mail to confirm that USCIS sent the request to the correct service center. you need to do this ASAP because USCIS only holds your EAD for 180 days before they destroy your EAD and then you will have to apply again as well as pay the $465 again.

There's a chance the guard won't let you in if the ASC is too busy. I did a walk-in and had no problem. There was someone who went in during the morning time for a walk-in and didn't get in so he went in the same day afternoon and got in.

I'm sure we all are going to go through busy times when we finally get a ssn and a license. I think it is common sense and everyone should be aware of such thing, this is an open discussion forum and no one need or should have to be online 24/7 which isn't the case Everyone helps when possible

If you could change one thing...?

I will agree with MarioLC. I think the forum could be better organized. My suggestion is to organizing it in sections. The sections could follow the progression in the DACA process, for those starting, for those waiting, for those getting RFE's, and for those already approved but still want to share/get information about the next steps, and some miscellaneous sections. And before starting a thread, the user should classify the thread accordingly.
