Official Texas Approval or Pending Thread

My husband and I received his EAD card today! Time for a SSN and Drivers license!

I already received my EAD. So far what I've done is acquired my SSN, and recently applied for a state ID. After I receive that I'll go apply for my DL. We're nearly approaching the new year and what I'm doing now is preparing myself on all aspects to finally go out there into the workforce. I'm looking to start the new year like never before, college also awaits me. I have big plans

    does deferred action end 2/28/2013

First off, that website is calling it the Dream Act, that right there should be an indication that they have no idea what they're talking about. To answer your question, no it doesn't. The form itself has an expiration date of 2/28/2013, but that doesn't mean the program will end at that date. All it means is that the form will expire on that date and another one will be released with a new date.

    RFE Discussion?!

Mayar their asking me for the samething my lawyer said for the PROOF OF PRESENCE IN THE UNITED STATES ON JUNE 15, 2012 they mean that you need to send something proving you where here on june 15, 2012. like something you bought or if you had a doctors appoiment that day. something like that , if you dont have anything for that day try sending stuff from a month before and a month after and i think you should be fine. i have a bank account and i bought some stuff that day so i plan on sending that, and on that day i went and asked for my medical record wich has the date and my name i will send that as well. best of luck

    Working Days Calculator

Hey guys new here. ive been waiting 35 working days since my bio oct. 1. I was wondering if people that apply that are in high school or under 21 get approve faster. Im only saying this because my friends 26, 24, and me 26 have not gotten approve yet. but my younger friends and their sibblings under 21 or in high school already got approve and all of our bios were around the same time.

    Working Days Calculator

I calculated from my biometrics until now! Yes... This can easily turn into a very negative situation if you don't force yourself to relax and to be proactive in doing positive things. I keep reminding myself that's it's important when, just that I get approved. It's a blessing enough! Woooooossssaaaahhhhh.... *yoga pose*

Once I get it, apply for a SSN and DL. My butt is going to work and work like crazy. But most of all, I'm going fishing. I'll finally be able to get a fishing license and not worry about game wardens and fines. I can see that five pound catfish already. I'm happier than the gopher in Caddyshack.

I have to say, finding this website has done my heart some real good. All the information that I've been reading on various forums answer so many questions and relieves so much stress off my shoulders. I'm currently waiting for my biometrics appointment tomorrow. Very excited! Just wanted to thank y'all for all the insight. =]

What do you plan to do after you get your EAD?

Hope your words are heard my friend. We all are anxiously wanting the dream act for permanent residency. After receiving my EAD I will just go apply for a SSN Can't do much with just the EAD hehe
