Hi everyone! My name is Roxy and I'm from Venezuela. I am daughter of two venezuelans but although my dad was born there, he is French and Haitian (hence, my afro lol). Came to the US when I was 8 years old in 2000. After a time period of visiting lawyers and doing my research, I finally applied for the deferred action on October 11th and I am eagerly waiting to get what I have been praying for years now. I have fallen in love with this website because I love to see the community here and how we all relate. It's been hard living with so many (many) people that all have their citizenship and no one understands the struggles we go through. I may not know you all personally, but I have to admit I already love all of you because we know what it's like to live the way we do. God bless you guys! Roxy Applied: October 11th Biometrics appointment: November 28th

    DACA Process [Timelines]

The purpose of this topic is to publish your Timeline, here's mine as an example: - Date Application Sent: September 21, 2012 - Application's Lockbox: Vermont lockbox - Date acceptance letter: September 27, 2012 - Date of I-797 C (Application Approved): Pending - Date Biometrics (Walk in): October 5, 2012 at 12pm - Date Biometrics scheduled: October 19, 2012 at 2:00pm - Date of EAD received: Pending I know some of you guys have it as your signature but the reason for this topic is to compare our cases and waiting process all just in one place. I found myself going and scrolling through different topics just to read some of the signatures that have their timeline published so why not having them all just in one place. Thanks for taking your time if you do reply to this topic, have a good day everyone and good luck!

We all know that this isnt the only forum available for DACA applicants and I like to enter other forums and look at their timelines regarding how long it takes for one to get the EAD after biometrics. It seems to me, in my opinion, that California Service Center is the center that processes applications fastest. Texas seems to be lagging and my service center, Nebraska, can be a pain in the ***. Anyways, I ran into a thread about an applicant that spoke to an officer from Nebraska Service Center, bios done 9/17 and on will start getting approved this week and the next and it seems that they are going in order of bios done. Heres the link: Also, heres this interesting spreadsheet with applicants from Nebraska, it gives one an idea of the approximate wait time: http://www.editgrid....o/DACA_Nebraska

I feel like I'm just soooo close to having everything (a job, a car (drive), travel within the country of course,etc..) but at the same time i feel like it's never going to happen. I just really want to work and drive. Its tough living in CALIFORNIA and not be able to do anything. Do any of you feel like you're not a normal teenager? Or like the rest of your friends? I can't do what they do so easily and I get irritated sometimes. But i'm going to keep praying & hopefully January is my month ! & the month of all those others in Initial Review.

The penalties and consequences vary among states. Some consider it a crime and you can get a court citation which could lead to a judge reporting you to ICE. Other states are less strict. I think it's safer not to risk it and wait for DACA. You never know if the police officer is against immigrants.

This same thing happened to me too!! For the LONGEST time it wouldn't come up, the one day that I decided to call USCIS and ask what was up, right before making the phone call I checked online to find the number and miraculously it had changed and I could see my case. I was SO frustrated I couldn't see it before so I totally feel you

Same feeling here. This forum has been "Heaven sent". It is comforting to know we are, indeed, not alone. Especially as some of us await approval notices. Best wishes to all. Congratulations to everyone living the dream. Let's make the best of this opportunity, network and prove to an entire Nation that Immigration reform can benefit all.
