2 pointsUSCIS only works Monday thru Friday. Weekends and holidays are not included in the wait time. It has only been 63 working days since your bios. the estimated wait time is 4 to 6 months after your bios. Calling USCIS wont really help much since they really only give you the information that is listed on your status page anyways. Unfortunately, the only thing to do after the bios is to wait until there is a decision or until a RFE is issued. As much as lawyers want to promise that they process wont take long, no one really knows because every case is different and every service center is different as well. There are still some who filed in August and September who are either not approved yet or have received RFEs.

Biometrics Appointment Step by Step and what to Expect !
Heisenberg2 reacted to Luna for a post in a topic
1- You will be asked to show your appointment and an identification with it, also they will make sure your phone is off. 2- They will give you a paper where they ask you general questions about yourself whats your name ? address ?whats your height ? weight ? eye color? race ? phone number? birth date ? etc etc 3- On that same paper it will ask for you applications "numbers" and your "Alien number" the picture below below shows where to locate this numbers in Red are the "application numbers" make sure you write down both of them and in Blue is your "Alien Number" yes people we are from out of space 4- once you are done filing out your paper work you will be sent to another desk, they will ask again for your identification and both papers, the one you filed out and the biometric appointment i know i know.... On that same desk they will ask to see your hands front and back. They will return your biometrics appointment with a number attached to it, and a red stamp . 5- Next they will send you to a waiting area try to relax on this step, they will call your number the one attached to the paper, once you are called they will clean your hands with water and take your fingerprints, after that you will be asked to sit down to take your picture and if the person who is taking your picture is nice they will let you retake it again if you don't like it after that you have to to sign on a electronic pad its impossible to get it nice so don't waste your time i tried it 5 times till i gave up once you are done with everything they will verify your information that they have on the system. final step they will write on that red stamp the date and something else that I'm not sure of 6- Ohhh and before you leave they will ask to fill out a questionary on how was the service thats pretty much it , good luck everyone !!!!! sorry if i missed anything i was on a hurry writing this! -

First Job
pswa83 reacted to roadrunner11 for a post in a topic
hi there first of all what is your field of interest? Do you have any plans for more schooling? I would say try to find an entry level job in the field that you want to build a career in. That way you can make good connections with the current employees who might be able to give you references for school or a better job in the future. Also try to find a job that offers benefits and life insurance because that is huge plus. -
1 pointRent, bills, transportation, medical expenses, food, clothes, etc. Remember, it's not monthly, it's yearly expenses. In the additional information you can write down something along the lines of "My parents currently pay for all of my expenses which include but is not limited to, rent, bills, transportation, medical expenses, food clothes, etc. I need work authorization to be able to provide for myself as I am currently not able to work legally in the United States." They just want to see that you aren't making enough money to sustain yourself and they will approve your EAD right away. That's why they don't even ask for proof of any of the expenses and they are going solely off of the numbers you write down.

1 pointThe agreement you made with the peron who hired you, Im assuming was verbal, nothing written. If thats the case, that is the reason she seems to be changing the original agreement. Im so sorry to hear that and know exactly how you feel because the same thing happened to me, I was promised a very large amount of $ after many years of work for an elderly person, I never got it in writing and later when I called, it wasnt given to me. Im sure you want to keep this job, but because of the agreement with this person and her not keeping her end of the bargain, things may get difficult. She may not have been authorized by the orthodontist to do such agreement. There are laws that protect the workers. If you try and work something out and she keeps in the same position, she may try and scare you with telling the orthodontist the "agreement" formed between you two. My opinion would be to go directly to the orthodontist, but unfortunately you do run the risk of losing the job becasue of the agreement with said person and depends how the orthodontist sees it. Good luck.

1 pointAhhhh, that's so frustrating. I'm sorry to hear that. Did you guys put anything in writing? First of all, don't stress. Just take the steps to figure it out. You've already been completely honest so keep being open and honest and bring up the agreement confidently and casually mentioning that was the plan you had settled on with her. Be positive and courteous but state the facts and don't present anything in question form, giving her an opportunity to tweak anything. If that doesn't go well, I would go to the employer and just present everything honestly and see if he would be willing to work that out with you. Put it in writing if you can!!! Good luck!

Finding a job
forrestblount reacted to JamRock for a post in a topic
I think that it can be both positive and a negative because on one hand employers want experience and do not want to have to train someone but on the other hand, they do want someone that they can mold. Try to include everything that you have ever done that may fit the description of the job that you want all on one page. service at church, volunteers, projects at school, community events. you will be surprised to discover the skills you have. in fact, use this as a time to self-reflect and set goals. -

How to obtain a Social Security Number after DACA Approval
lavidaloca reacted to JoseG for a post in a topic
I'm not sure, it says an original document or certified copy so I think just the birth certificate will work. Hopefully it does because I forgot to take a copy of the translation -.- I'll take my passport and high school transcript since they are both accepted also, just in case.
