    Applied For Ss (:

So I went today to apply for my SS card. The wait was such a pain... but once I was called my brother & I literally took about less than 10 minutes. The lady was really nice ( which I'm grateful for, I've seen that some of you have had a hard time :/ ) I was told that I should receive my card in two weeks. I'm sooooo nervous about taking my drivers test... It seems so unreal honestly but I'm excited and grateful for the opportunity nonetheless.

Your application is still within the expected processing time of 4-6 months. There are people who applied in August and have still not heard a decision on their case. There's nothing you can do but wait.

You've already covered the education requirement by being in school at the time of filing your application and I doubt you can send in more evidence unless they request it via an RFE. Just sit tight and wait until they get to your case. There are people who applied before you still waiting for a decision.

    First Job

i've worked a few jobs before DACA. waitress, nanny, grocery store, internet cafe, baseball park. after i was approved, the 1st job i had was working as a receptionist in the Onocology wing of the local hospital and now, i work for a local police department as a 911 dispatcher. if part time work is what you are looking for, why not try stores like walmart or target. they usually hire part time positions.

    Taking Too Long?

Same here, I thought I was the only one lol. Anyways most of the applications are getting approved. We just have to remain calm and hope they accept our applications soon. Good Luck! !

    Taking Too Long?

Vermont is really slow. They received my application on September 7th and I had my bios on September 26th and nothing so far... Patience!

    Taking Too Long?

the time frame for the DACA process is 4 to 6 months. that only includes working days as USCIS does not work on weekends or holidays starting after your bios. and once your DACA application is approved, USCIS still has 90 days to make a decision on your I-765. there is also no specific order in which the applications are processes. sadly the only thing to do is wait.

    State ID's and DL's validity

It sucks, because you're obviously not here for a limited time.. not like you are a visitor on a visa. DACA approved people shouldn't have to have any marks on their identifications.. we have enough to deal with such as the short period of time that we have.. two years isn't much to be honest.
