Hello everyone! Don't think I have Officially introduced myself. My name is Yuliana born in Mexico Guerrero. Came to the United States at the young age of six and have been here since! 2 days ago was 4 months since my bio that I've been waiting! Sent app off on 8/27 & had bio 9/28 & I'm still on initial review on uscis page. Anyone else file about the same time as me & still waiting?!

Hi Everyone!!! Havent been online as often as I'd like...work and getting ready for school has kept me occupied. Approval from DACA is guarenteed to open many new doors and possibilites for all.. Well, heres what this post is about...taxes... This is my first legal job ever, before DACA I worked under the table and never filed taxes... Well this job, every paycheck withdraws taxes... Ive been reading up on doing taxes and the different categories..nonresiden and resident.. DACA didnt provide us with any type of legal status, however Publication 519, the US Tax Guide released by the IRS, categorizes us as resident aliens because of the time we've been here (page 5).. They even have this little table that helps you determine what to file under.. I will be filing as a resident as indicated by Publication 519 because of the time I've been here in the US, I mean we obviously had to meet that requirement to get qualified for DACA.. For any Android users, theres a free app called "TaxCaster" from Turbo Tax and gives you an estimate of how much you'd be getting back..its really user friendly.. Now all I have to wait is for my W2 from my employer at the end of Jan. and get back some of those taxes... I feel the same way but I am sure it has noting to do with luck. Some just have to go through some prolonged processes than others so be patient jasmine your approval will come soon. By the way, stressing about it doesn't do you any good so I suggest you keep your self busy and go about your normal day to day activity . G'luck

Sad to hear that Virginia is not ready to move forward on helping to educate ALL students.

File using your SSN, your ITIN can no longer be used after you obtained the SSN. You are required by law to send a letter to the IRS notifying them of your new SSN, and for them to rescind your ITIN. So if I were you, I would go to every place where you are using an ITIN and request it to be changed to the SSN. I worked in 2012 using a fake ssn and filed the federal and state taxes using my real SSN, I was already approved and refund (so happy) is on the way.

I know two friends who were approved today and they applied early August. USCIS is still working on a lot of August applications. A service Request won't help much if your case isn't past the expected processing time for DACA which is 4-6 months. If you submit a Service Request before that, they will just tell you that your application is still within the expected processing time and if you don't hear anything by the time the 6 months are over, to contact them again.

Hello everyone my name is Antonio and i live in Lubbock, Texas. My application was sent Sept 17th, accepted/recieved Sept 21st. Got reciepts and letter notices from Nebraska to be put on biometrics for Oct 23rd. Those were taken and now as of this day my case is still on Initial Review on uscis.gov. Should i be worried? Ive been told its taking longer but i am just curious and still praying everything comes out okay. My friend which sent hers Aug 28 got her acceptance Jan 26. So September people should be getting their notices right? Hopefully!!!

Look at the timeline guys. Most approval are from biometrics done around sept 12. Yours still has a bit to go or will eventually come. Dont lose hope.
