Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I've been coming to this site for a while now. The correct thing to do was to register so I did. I've been living in Chicago IL since 1991 or since I was 9 years old. I recently applied for DACA. I was a bit scared because I'm turning 31 years old in March. Hopefully I get approve soon. I used to be a smoker for 5 years... I quit cold turkey, because I moved back in with my parents and they don't approve of it. I will however smoke socially if I'm out with friends. And NOT all smokers have bad dental hygiene. Most smokers I know especially girls take fantastic care of their teeth. Me being gay and all I personally do not mind it if a girl smokes or not although if I started dating a girl who smoked I'd prob pick up the habit all over again! >.< Also, I don't agree nor did I ever smoke inside my place of living because it makes everything smell SO GROSS. I always smoked outside !!

Every case is different, it's very important to know that. If you filled out every required document and have provided necessary evidence then you have nothing to worry about. Just kick back, keep yourself occupied and eventually you'll get that text/e-mail that says "you've been approved" when you least expect it. Remembe; many of us have been in the shadows for decades, waiting a couple of months is nothing new to us. Patience is the key. Keep in mind that this is a case by case process.

ok guys so my husband has a a misdemeanor for "failing to ID" and he did his biometrics back on Dec 7th and still hasn't been approved, so i'm starting to get worried. so if any of you have been approved having a misdemeanor please let me know and if it took longer than most of us who don't have one. hey everyone, i'm Matt, a couple weeks ago on January 23, i posted that it has been 3 months for my process for the Dream Act and nothing had happened. yesterday Febuary 4 i received an email saying i was approved!!!!!! i'm so exited. my cases are the I821D( Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals ) and for the I765( APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION ). they both jumped from INITIAL REVIEW to: POST DECISON ACTIVITY and the other to CARD/DOCUMENT PRODUCTION. on the email and on the site it says it will be delivered in 30 days. is there an average amount of days that it arrives? also, what should i do whenever i get it? go straight to the social security agency or wait a couple days ? PLEASE LET ME KNOW, THANKS

Everyone who smokes smells of cigs, you probably can't because you are the one smoking. Plus cigs makes your sense of smell and taste all messed up.

Its just straight up nasty... At least to me! I would never be attracted to a girl that smokes even if she does it very little. I never liked the smell of cigarettes/cigars. Plus I want a girl who can go run or play soccer with me without her dying.lol but hey if u like to smoke than do ur thing, I don't hate .... Just keep away from me, I want to live

Oh My Tattoos <3 I love tattoos but my ex didn't let me get any either lol he said they were for cholos and if I ever got one we would never get back together so yeah. I don't smoke very often and if I do its just one but I do love the smell of cigs, of weed eww no! it smells like skunk lol

i like smoking too ... i tried not to do it on regular days or i wouldnt buy a pack for myself. i love going to hookah bars and stuff like that i even have one. but i mean if u like smoking .. make friends that like that too if u like tattoos. make friends that like that too i dont see anything wrong with it just do what u like

you can apply for cal grants, but it's better if you apply for cal grants once you plan to transfer from a community college to a UC or CSU because UCs and CSUs are more expensive .... you can also apply for EOPS (Extended Opportunity Programs and Services ) depending on your school (it's different for every school) they might also give you some money for books

guys hang in there ! i was sick at one point like damn fuck when am i gonna get approved im home yesterday i leave to go chill before i left i checked uscis n it still said the same thing as it does every day u no bla bla initial lol i leave n im chillin w my homie ghost n im tellin him all about my status bla bla i go on uscis so he can actually see what it was that it said n its still at the same spot as always so boom i just get dropped off im back home and i see my moms is not on the computer as usual so im like ok let me just go online i havent been on the pc in a minute lol iphones keep u busy i go to uscis n bam i got approved i was bouncing off the walls like if i won the nba championship lol and thats pretty much my story lol wish you guys the best ill update again when i get the letter they send after approval 1 love hang in there =]

These people are such morons, delaying processes for something like this. What do they expect you to send? Urghhh...this just infuriates me, how incompetent they can be. They probably lost it, and are now asking for the same things. But yeah, send the same stuff plus a letter I guess. Good luck.

I just applied for the BOG fee waiver because I'm in a community college right now ... but from what I have read you can get up to $12,000 ... not sure ... it depends the school you go to (community college, UC,CSU)

How about dated mail under your name, catalogs. Did you buy anything from a store and they took your name and address? You can get statements from them. How about letters from employers, anything with your name, date and address would work.

I would sent the same things and i would add an extra letter from his teacher or school! and more official grades if he has some! Good Luck

No, there is not a fee to apply for a social security card. All I was asked to show was my passport, work authorization card, and the application filled out. Once you apply fort it should take about two weeks for you to get in the mail. However, your number should be generated within 24 to 48 hours after you apply and you can then go back to the Social Security Office and request a paper print out of your number. It can take longer for them to generate a number if you have a common name.
