Feeling Guilty :(
engineer2mike and one other reacted to Gezinha for a post in a topic
No, don't say that, and don't feel guilty because this was given to you. No way! I hear Iowa, Missouri, Idaho and I get concerned because I tend to hear that a lot of people out there are very close minded. Have you been able to get a license? I really hope you can find something, even if it is a restaurant, I say that, just because it is not healthy to be at home all the time thiking things over too much. I have been home for almost a month and I am going crazy already, but I am not even approved yet. You can always move later, but go to school or a course that will accept DACA. No amount of education is too much. We are young and we will have out chance in this country. Do not give up. Pray and I will pray for you too, I know you will find something. Build up a nice resumee, I can even help you with that if you want, just message me. -

Are you kidding me ??? Do you hear yourself ??? Like what is wrong with you? You have no idea what you're saying , you're here complaining that you dont deserve this law because you cant find a job??? you know i've been waiting to get approved now for a couple of months I WISH WITH ALL MY HEART i was already approve even if that meant i was unemployed! at least i wouldve been approved! You got approved faster than many of us, the fact that you havent been able to find a job doesnt mean you dont deserve it . Doors are closing on you? B....please! you just got approved...doors are opening for you ! now you can have a license, you can travel inside the US, nobody can deport you now, you have a social, you have a work permit ...guess what that means? more job opportunities! i dont know what kind of job you're looking for but there's jobs out there. Have you try the mall? they always always hiring people at the stores ! maybe is not the job of your dreams but in the mean time you can work there save up and money and keep looking for that job you want. You haven't wasted these two months like you think, you have been trying to look for a job for the last two months! That's not wasting time , you know whats wasting time what we the people waiting for the approval are doing. or most of us are doing , like being home doing nothing because we can't do anything unlike you we cant go and look for a job yet because we still dont have a work permit so what do we ? we just sit here and wait and check the mailbox every day expecting our approval, we check the website more than once a day checking that our case has been moved from initial review were it has been the last couple of months to whatever the next step is. Tienes una falta de ubicacion terrible! Stop concentrating on the negative and look at the positive ...theres many stories here of people that have been waiting months to get an approval and here you are spitting at your approval go read those stories , go and feel your heart break for the many young people that arent as lucky as you to get approved as fast! Sabes que tienes q hacer en la vida....Ubicarte!!!! -

seriously i cant believe you feel guilty. You have an opportunity that a lot of people wished they had. Instead of feeling "guilty"you should feel motivated that you finally have a chance to improve and make a better life for you and your family. yea things are hard but we now have a way of getting things done. maybe you cant find a job because you havent searched enough or you just gave up. whatever it is don't let a problem like that get you down. you already got approved. i honestly dont see a reason why your not smiling and cheering. dont give up and stop thinking like that. dont feel sorry for your self. get up and do something with this opportunity that you got. -

I haven sent any forms or anything to USCIS yet, I'm 26 years old and have been here since I was 3 i came into the country without inspection and have never been out of the U.S I have my school transcripts, high school diploma, certification letters from ASE ( automotive service excellence, I'm an auto mechanic) every single paycheck stub since I started working in 2004(fake SSN, but my name) tax return forms including w2's ( I have an ITIN #)dated optometrist appointment forms along with prescriptions for contacts and glasses, marriage certificate, birth certificate( From Mexico) and various other receipts with my name, address and date on them there may be other things that I have forgotten to mention but for those of you that have applied or know somebody, does this seem like enough? -

For some reason something keeps telling me that I shouldn't have applied for the deferred action I know I deserve it but I feel like I should have left that opportunity for somebody who really deserved it since I can't find a job, my mom knowing the big opportunity President Obama gave us and that we had to put it to use, she still made me drop out of college not knowing how much that would affect me I just feel like every door is closing on me that I have no opportunities and I know I should be lucky and I am but its just all the negativity it has been 2 months and half that I got approved and I still can't find a job I feel like I just wasted that time.. I thought about going back to Mexico maybe there I had a shot at studying since the school I was going to here was the only one who accepts people with deferred action or they didn't have a problem accepting me like the other schools and also maybe working since I can really put the bilingual knowledge to work. I also considered maybe moving states but I cannot afford that since my parents are separated and I know my dad wouldn't want to pay so much for tuition. I am just overwhelmed I think -
1 pointaw don't say that! you'll find something I'm sure just keep on looking, don't give up girl. I wish I could help , I really do :/ moving to another state sounds like a good idea, some states like Texas and Cali are not that strict at accepting undocumented youth in schools and jobs. Don't give up remember we are DREAMers! luchamos hasta conseguir alcanzar nuestros sueños y metas

Hey its been a little more than 3 months now, i know what you mean. Any luck with finding a job? -
1 pointUnfortunately the instructions does state that you have to send some type of identification, whether is your country identification card, a passport, college or high school ID. Your birth certificate has to be translated to English and certified by a public notary. Also when you go to do your biometrics (fingerprint and photo), you need some form of identification as well. It has to be current and not expired. Everything you mentioned sounds about right, send everything you have from 2007 to 2012 and proof that you were here on June 15th, 2012. Doesn't really have to be the exact date, it can be a day before or after. Personally I didn't send anything related to work because I used to work with a fake ssn, but in the application I did wrote down the fake ssn I was using to work with and I did not have a single issue because of it. Good luck and I would wait for your country identification card and then send everything together.

A battery is a simple misdemeanor. If you only have one, you shouldn't worry about it too much. The only thing is it might prolong your application process time but that is not something you are worried about. Plus, I don't know if you was a minor or not when you got charged but if you were, most charges gets expunged when you turn 18. You should read the question and answer on dhs site http://www.dhs.gov/d...ldhood-arrivals specifically Q1 - Q7. It basically answers all your concerns you have at the moment. If you are good with reading comprehension, I wouldn't advise you to spend that much money on a lawyer. They are basically going to repeat the same thing you read on that site in a simple form. G'luck -
1 pointIt's better to just not use stapes. If you have papers that need to go together, then just stack them together or use a paper clip. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextchannel=fe529c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextoid=ff053d146a7ee010VgnVCM1000000ecd190aRCRD

Stay With Employer Or Find New Employment?

i left the job that i had before DACA just because i didnt want to have to explain my situation but got a job shortly after that and then got my dream job shortly after that...lol -
1 pointok, so, personal opinion here, i think that this outline for CIR works. i mean, i filed my 1st petition with USCIS back in 2001 and have filed a few since then as my case has "progressed" with DACA being my most recent petition. going to sound totally selfish here but, if done this way, people such as myself, who have USC relatives and are DACA applicants shouldnt have to wait in line with everyone else. I've filed papers to gain legal status the right way and paid so much money, why should i have to wait years, upon the 12 yrs i've already waited, to gain legal status? i shouldnt!! this CIR isnt a blanket amnesty as like it was in the 80s. this is a more defined outline with more requirements for those seeking legal status. pretty much the major requirement in the 80s was having to be in the US before 1982. if that were the case now, let's say since 2000, many would be able to qualify regardless if they've tired to gain legal status the correct way.

I know it can be overwhelming. But you got to keep your head up. We deserve our chance at life as much as anyone else. All things happen for a reason. Just keep looking around for work. There's bound to be something out there. Does lose your faith chica.
