    Ab 540

Did you guys know what many o you could go to college without havig papers and not paying out of state tuition? Well it's possible, there is a program called AB 540, look it up. I got to go to a junior college and then transferred to a university where I got a BS degree. At the university I did not get any financial aid but at the junior college I did cus if my grades. with DACA, one can only apply for AP because of illness (in terms of someone in the family is very ill and is going to die), death (and they need to attend the funeral) educational purposes (study somewhere over seas) or humanitarian reason. In all of these cases, paperwork will need to be provided. doctors note saying a person is dying. or a death certificate in order to attend a funeral. letter from the school, stating you are studying overseas. once applied and approved for AP, the AP will only be good for a certain time frame and it would be VERY important to make sure that one would be back in the US before the expiration date of their AP. also, returning to the US with AP may or may not cause a problem when going through Customs. Seeing how DACA approved applicants still do not have legal status in the US, we can be barred from entering the US even with AP. This would cause the 3 to 10 year ban to go into affect. all that being explained, i would ask a lawyer about it. applying for AP does cost more money and it would suck to apply and pay for it and then not get approved.

    Rfe?? :/

I got hit with an RFE and was approved recently. I suggest that you guys pay attention to what USCIS is requesting of your husband, and to provide exactly what it is they want. Be very meticulous, and make sure that everything is complete. Do not rush it, since you have a reasonable window of time to submit the evidence. Very important: With your evidence package, submit the letter that they sent your husband in the mail, in the envelope that they include with the letter. That expedites the process, and avoids them having to research your husband's info. Follow the instructions to the 'T,' and your husband should have a acceptance notice in about 3 - 4 weeks after the submission of the RFE.

    Rfe?? :/

Yes, that's an RFE. There are many people who have gotten them and who were also approved. Sometimes they ask for something simple in the RFE, you just gotta wait for the letter and see what they want.

Thanks Splif I agree people are welcome to state their opinions but please remember we are here to help others as well. Sentence structure and word choice is appreciated on the forums

There could be an argumentative discussion as long as each party doesn't go off and insult someone directly. After all, we are all well educated people with our own moral values and various opinions on different topics. Sometimes, sentence structure can influence the tone of the message but you should understand that some messages might come out offensive when the sentence is not constructed properly. So, I don't think the previous message was meant to insult you directly but rather it sounded as if it was an insult to you, maybe ?

I don't belive most of us are "complaining" about the time wait, it is just that by comparison it seems unfair, the processing times, application orders and proof we sent. Some people getting RFE months later, some people getting recalled for bio 2 months later... this just makes us all anxious and mad because we need it so much. We are very thankful, but we just feel like something is not right in the processing, which is understandable because this is the first time this system is being used. But at the same time, it is frustrating, especially for people like Amor here, she has been waiting forever, almost 6 months and she hasn't heard a word. Now, some other people sent stuff and got approved in 2-3 months, it just doesn't sound like the system is working properly, you know what I mean. We all are, and will all be, forever, eternally greatful.

Sister did Bios on the 26th of September also and just barely today got an update to her case, RFE -.- Let's see what dumb thing they come up with. She has been continuously going to school for the past 11 years and we sent her entire school record, so it can't be the continuous residence part or ID since we sent her Birth Certificate, school IDs, passport etc...Only thing I can come up with is the June 15th requirement, which I believe wasn't too far after she went on school break. Anyways, don't worry amor. Your approval will come soon.
