EL_Aviles reacted to silvazquez27 for a post in a topic
Hello everyone! Don't think I have Officially introduced myself. My name is Yuliana born in Mexico Guerrero. Came to the United States at the young age of six and have been here since! Just wanted to thank all of you for your help and support through this process! It sure has been tedious, but nevertheless a lot easier with all your support!!!!! So from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!!!!!!! -
1 pointYou sent two applications, the I-821D and the I-765, once you are approved for the I-821D and the I-765 , USCIS will send you two letters called Approval Notice, one for each application. After you are approved for the I-765, USCIS will order the production of your EAD card. After the card has been produced, it will be mailed to you and that's the end of it.

1 pointi believe even as a PR, your husband can file an I-130 on your behalf. you can also file for a work permit as well along with the I-130. i think this route would allow you to become a USC after your husband becomes one. i would try and google catholic charities in your area and see if you can get an appt. the only thing i would be concerned about is the possibility of having to leave the US once a visa is available to you. i think in that case, you would be able to file the I-601 and hopefully not have to leave the US to get your visa. but like i said, try to get an appt with catholic charities and see what they say.

Sleep Paralysis! :/
Santi reacted to christmastree77 for a post in a topic
I think you're confusing the sleep paralysis. Lucid dreaming is when you can control your dreams, and even tell yourself to wake up in the middle of your dream, but that's not what taramo35 is talking about. She's talking about sleep paralysis, which is a state you're in when you're between being awake and being asleep. It's often the result of interrupted REM (rapid eye movement) sleep and is characterized by muscle weakness, which explains the inability to move. It's also common to have these awful visions that evoke fear and the fact that you can't move or talk makes it even scarier. Like when it happened to me, I thought there was some random just watching me while lay there, helpless, trying to figure out what to do to me. It was beyond scary.I don't mean to be one of those snobs that always corrects people, but I just wanted you to know the difference because this is a topic that interests me very much! I didn't mean for this to be so long haha! And congrats on the job of your dreams!!!! -

Time Lines What's Yours??!!

I called them last month and they told me what they tell everybody that my case was under review and that it's not past the 4-6 months waiting period so that they couldn't give me more information. So I don't think I should call again I mean if they were gonna send me RFE they would've sent it already -
1 pointNo guys. The 8 year wait for permanent residence under the Obama draft immigration plan doesn't apply to the "Dream Act Kids" but it applies to everyone else. The Dreamers will have to wait only 2 years to get a Green Card and then another 5 years for citizenship, so its only 7 years in total from where we are right now to citizenship. Keep in mind that this is a very good reasonable proposal. The 8 year wait for permanent residence for everyone here illegally who isn't a "Dreamer" will be based on those who are already in line for a Green Card, meaning those who are doing it the legal way and by the way have been waiting for years to get approved, so its just fair to expedite those who are already in line before they can deal with those who are here illegally. The 11 million who are here illegally will be given a "Prospect Visa" immediately so that they can work and drive...etc. Its not like they will be left behind for 8 years, they will gain an immediate legal status. Under the Obama draft plan the "Dream Act Kids" (us) will actually get a really good deal. Remember this is only a draft and its highly unlikely that it will be the bill that Congress ultimately passes, however, whatever Congress passes this Spring or Summer will probably be similar to the Obama plan.

1 pointOkay, so today is oficillay 3 months since I took my bios on November 15th. And 4 months since I sent mt application. I wish someone had told me "Angelina, it will take 5 months, at least, do not go crazy and quit your job for another one without your stuff in hand!" haha Yeah, damn it, now I am home, bored, cannot apply for a job because I don't want to make my situation worse because I don't know how a background check works, oh heavens!!! I feel worse for the people who are waiting even longer, I am lucky I am fine, I have money saved, but for those who don't only God can help. I hope they get approved faster than me. I can wait another month, I wish I didn't have to though. I wanna go to schooooool! Sorry guys, just venting, rating, bored to death!!! Well, hopefully by summer everyone who applied has been approved and we can make a contribuiton to the country and get on the path to making all our lives better.
