Depressed Over Daca.....

This is what I ve on a sticky note on my mirror: "For anything worth having one must pay the price; and the price is always work, PATIENCE, love, self-sacrifice - no paper currency, no promises to pay, but the gold of real service." -John Burroughs I know it's not easy, and it really sucks, but pick yourself up and stand a little taller. We waited much longer for DECA to come along, just a few more days! BTW when did you send your RFE? What did they ask for? -

Don't you guys hate seeing a U.S citizen out in the streets, or being gangsters. Not appreciating their legal status to become someone greatful in this great country. Or even worst seeing our own dreamers out in the street being gangsters, like really we are here to become someone our families will be proud of. Not causing problems to our coummunity. Although, some "peolpe" in this country will never admit this country is this powerful thanks to us immigrats. We shouldn't leave that image from our community. In addition, I have to admit MOST of us are doing great things with our lives in this country. As a dreamer, I have to tell you I feel proud to be part of the "DREAM ACT COMMUNITY" I don't have the privilage to know anyone in this forum personally, but when I read someone of your story's, and I see all the hard things each and everyone one of you been through makes me get so mad at people that throw away their lives in the streets. Like I said I proud to be part of this dream act community, and I also feel proud of ALL OF YOU that put our name high with the great things you are doing in this country. I just wanted to let you guys there are people out there who appreciate your hard work just like my family feels proud of me I feel proud of all you doing great things. -

Don't let this break you. We immigrants have suffered for so long and yet we've never given up hope. You WILL be approved its just a matter of when. Just remember that you're just a day away from being approved. That approval will come unexpectedly and when it does you'll be overwhelmed with joy, Just enjoy life's simplest things and don't think too much about your application. -

I have friends who rather sit at home & do nothing & they are citizens! If i had the opportunities they had i would be going to a university to get a career! It infuriates me that the government doesn't see that all we want is a chance to show them how great we can be with just a little help from them! -
1 pointYou can fill out the application at home and print it, or fill it in at the SSA office. http://www.socialsec...online/ss-5.pdf Find your nearest SSA office https://secure.ssa.gov/apps6z/FOLO/fo001.jsp http://www.ssa.gov/p...rred_action.pdf

1 pointSo I have to admit I been so stressed and depressed lately...waiting for an answer is affecting my daily living..im a strong girl..I was so happy since I started the process.. it made me happy to have this opportunity. But things changed since my status was updated to a RFE. Its been hard..I couldn't take it anymore and I just cried and cried yesterday asking myself why is this happening to me?..all my friends got approved...all i want is to succeed. my whole future is sitting in someones office waiting to be approve by an unknown person.. :'(
-
1 pointyou cant get the number right away because the application needs to be approved before a number is assigned. at the local offices, the application is only processed. you can, however, try to go back a few days later and ask if a number has been assigned to you and then you could get a print out. then you can take that to the DMV and apply for a ID. you just need to know your SSN number and not actually have the card with you when you go to the DMV. remember to look up what you need in order to apply for a ID or DL. the requirements will vary from state to state and some state will not issue either to DACA applicants.

Some Help For Daca Applicants Whose Application Process Has Exceeded Estimated Waiting Period.
pswa83 reacted to splif0clock for a post in a topic
It seems like this is beyond making a simple service request. Service request is handled by USCIS directly but this one seems like its being handled by DHS. And, from the looks of it, it is not only for DACA application, for instance I know you have another pending case with USCIS that has been pending since 2005 or so, you can ask them to assist you with that case as well. DHS and USCIS are different branch government offices so It will be handled differently. -

I understand exactly how you feel I feel the same way, there's times when I feel like crying and just giving up but I know at the end of the day it will all be worth it. Keep your head up remember what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Goodluck -
1 point@jose and tamaro, i called uscis today. I told them i was concern with the long waiting status of my case. They said they were gonna do s service request which apparently is just send an email to the department holding my case. By doing that ill have to wait about two three weeks for the service request response. Whereas infopass happens to be that one personally goes to the closest immigration office for answers..in other words ill be doing both; service request and the info pass tomorrow.....

Never Had A Job Before
engineer2mike reacted to Jose_Gee for a post in a topic
I wouldn't personally leave it blank, I worked with a few high school students before and we told them to write "N/A" meaning Not Applicable. Last thing you want to do is leave something empty. As far as references I would use a family friend who may have a good title that would vouche for you. You always want to use professional references if you have them available. If you don't have any, then use family. Make sure to provide as many references that they ask for. -
1 pointDont worry I was waiting for almost 4 months and its the worst feeling to think the worst but I tell you something just relax! And sit back aslong is in anitial review thats a good sign that they making sure of everything instead of them denying it quick... believe me just relax and you will get them really soon!

Keep Waiting And Waiting );
jose_luis_956 reacted to Jose_Gee for a post in a topic
Take it easy man. I'm at 5 months after biometrics and almost 6 months since they received my application. Let it take it's time and before you know it they documents will be in your hands. I've been telling everyone to start planning their every move after they receive their documentation so they don't waste any time. You should do the same. Stay positive. -
1 pointI'm on the same boat as every one here claiming "It's taking to long". My signature should hold all the information (Sorry I'm new to this). I have to say that I'm quite frustrated. I can't imagine every one else that has applied before me. You know what makes it worst when you see friends or family members that apply after you and they have already been approved, SSN, and Job. I mean I'm happy for them don't get me wrong, I'm very happy for every one that has had this opportunity. It's a dream come true for most of us. Just that I feel I have been patient enough. Right? It's funny because I complain about this when ever the topic is brought up amongst friends and I'm like "this is taking to F*&%#ing long!!" then there like "how old are you?" "21" "what are 4-6 months compared to you waiting 21 years for this opportunity?"... It makes me laugh and then I'm like "Ture" but a week or two later I'm back at it again "this is taking to F*&%#ing long!!". I'm sorry I'm not hear to boar everyone with my silly stories or I'm not sure if any one will even see this; but for some odd reason sharing this with every one has made me feel a little better. At lest I'm not the only one and not the only one pulling there hair out with anxiety! Again I'm sorry not sure if posting this here is correct, but hey it was great expressing my self. God is good, and every one hang in there! P.S I'm sending them (USCIS) an email, Is that OK?

question about California DL
Heisenberg2 reacted to pswa83 for a post in a topic
in CA, you do not have to take a drivers ed class in order to get your permit if you are over 18. the best way to do it is, make an appointment online for the DMV. study the handbook front to back. most of the questions are common sense but study nonetheless. the day of your appointment, arrive about 10 to 15 mins early so that you can fill out the form before you get in line. once you're in line, they will take your application. give them your EAD and SSN when they ask for it. they will give you the test and point you to an another where you can take the test. once you're done, they will grade it right there and then. if you pass, then you will get your permit. even though you're over 18, having a permit DOES NOT mean that you can drive alone. you will need to have somone who has a DL and over 25 in the car with you when you drive. and yes, it says that in the handbook. you will also need to take a vision test. it's simple and basically the same as at the eye doctor. if you wear glasses normally then they will ask you to take the vision test without your glasses first and then with your glasses. if they determine that you need your glasses while you drive, your permit and DL will state say. and yes, if a cop pulls you over and you are not wearing your glasses, they can give you a ticket for that. most times, they will give you a warning, if they say something about it. -
