Congratulations Silvazquez27, its amazing seeing people being approved. I teared up when I was approved on Tuesday. I had all these emotions running through and out of me, and its an overwhelming sense relief. After 13 long years it has finally happened. -
1 pointHow's it going guys!? I'm Jose and I just recently came upon this forum, which by the way has been very informative & helpful. I live in San Diego. Much like many of you I'm currently attending college, I have an Associates in Business and I'm working on a Bachelors in Math. I pay for my education out of my own pocket so it's been a long and tough process but one that I will not give up on. I do whatever I can to make ends meet and to get by. I'm here to learn and hear about everyones findings and expiriences as well as to share mine. My application was received on Sept. 4, 2012 and I went in for biometrics on Sept. 28, 2012. I haven't heard anything since and I'm still patiently waiting. Still in Initial Review. Getting slightly nervous being that March 4th will be 6 months into the process. Upon my research I noticed that some of the members have been waiting about the same time that I have so it slightly calmed me down haha.. Anyways, I'm also here to meet new people! Anyone from San Diego!?! Hit me up! Good luck to all of you & Congradulations to those who have been approved, make us proud!

1 pointI-9 must be kept by the employer either for three years after the date of hire or for one year after employment is terminated, whichever is later Q.What should I do if I need to update or reverify an I-9 for an employee who filled out an earlier version of the form? You may line through any outdated information and initial and date any updated information. You may also choose, instead, to complete a new I-9.

13-Year Max For Citizenship
REPutation reacted to Osha for a post in a topic
All these budget crisis are self-inflicted wounds, the sequestration was supposed to be diverted today and nothing happened and then we have another Fiscal Cliff at the end of March and then another debt-ceiling fight coming at the beginning of April. No wonder why people hate Congress, this is not a way to govern. All these ridiculous budget crisis are delaying important policy discussions like immigration reform and gun control. God save us from Republicans. Republicans in Congress are self-indulgent crooks and are absolutely incompetent at governing, they will obstruct anything. We need to step up too before the crazy Tea Party folks do. What happened to the massive Immigration rallies that we used to have back in 2006? We need those rallies now more than ever. This is the year for immigration reform. -

1 pointI'm with Pswa83 on this one. If I get to be able to work and stay and travel in the country while I wait, then so be it. Farm labor workers must be included in the CIR, they are the ones that do the jobs that "Americans" wont do.

1 pointAmor, I wonder what is going on with your case. I have seen 2 other people here on the forum that got their cases tranferred to Nebraska, so, they can probably approve/deny or get to it in time. I am sorry if you have already posted something about your situation and I don't remember, but did you try calling the center? Are you appplying with a lawyer? I just saw someone, I don't remember his name, but he said he got approved withing 20 days...as happy as I am for him, that is so messed up. This just proves they are not doing anything in an orderly fashion. And if my case got transferred to make it in time, yours should have moved much sooner than mine. I am sorry you are going thru this, you are one of the earliest applicants on this forum, you should have your stuff already.

When Do You Start Counting After Bios Or......?
Admin reacted to latinagirl for a post in a topic
thank you rawf when people called they tell you all kinds of things they don't even know what to tell you anymore!! like one of the times I called the lady told me that Vermont center were on the july month cases and I said to her but they didn't start receiving daca applications until august 15 , and she still told me that same thing I was like ok thank you have a good day!! I didn't mean to be rude but that was kind of odd!! -
1 pointNo guys. The 8 year wait for permanent residence under the Obama draft immigration plan doesn't apply to the "Dream Act Kids" but it applies to everyone else. The Dreamers will have to wait only 2 years to get a Green Card and then another 5 years for citizenship, so its only 7 years in total from where we are right now to citizenship. Keep in mind that this is a very good reasonable proposal. The 8 year wait for permanent residence for everyone here illegally who isn't a "Dreamer" will be based on those who are already in line for a Green Card, meaning those who are doing it the legal way and by the way have been waiting for years to get approved, so its just fair to expedite those who are already in line before they can deal with those who are here illegally. The 11 million who are here illegally will be given a "Prospect Visa" immediately so that they can work and drive...etc. Its not like they will be left behind for 8 years, they will gain an immediate legal status. Under the Obama draft plan the "Dream Act Kids" (us) will actually get a really good deal. Remember this is only a draft and its highly unlikely that it will be the bill that Congress ultimately passes, however, whatever Congress passes this Spring or Summer will probably be similar to the Obama plan.

1 pointin 13 yrs, i'll be 43 (or almost) i think as long as i can work (still have a valid EAD) then i would be fine waiting 13 yrs for full citizenship. however, i am hoping that those already "in line" with either approved I-130 or other approved applications and DACA approved applicants will be processed faster then those just starting off in the immigration process. i would be really pissed off if someone who has only been in this country for 5 yrs were places in the same "line" as i would. i wouldnt understand that "fairness" in that. just my 2 cents.
