I don't think you are able to check your case until you actually take your bios in some cases. They do not review your application until the biometrics are taken. Don't worry you will be able to see your status later and what matters the most is planning what you will do once you have it.

Guys i got approved ! They received my application on October 2 , I did my biometrics November 5 and on Feb 15 my case got transferred from Vermont to Nebraska and March 22 I got approved!!!! I'm so happy I still can't believe it. I waited and waited , the waiting was tough and there were moments were i thought that i would shave my head a la Britney Spears circa 2007 lol but I'm here and didnt shave my head ! hahaha I put my faith in God, and the bible says that he doesn't start something he wont finish and amen to that! I knew that I would get approved , man did i pray! Thank you to everyone on this forum! It has been so helpful and comforting to read your stories and struggles! If you are still waiting don't give up is right around the corner. It always gets darker before the sun comes out !! I feel like I'm giving an Oscar speech lol ...but seriously guys thank you ! and you! and you!! and dont worry you too will get approved ! I still can't believe it ! So today I check the status of my case an for the I767 it say to wait 30 days to get my card and for the I821D it only say initial review after 2 hours I check again and this time for the I765 it say "post decision activity" and the same thing for the l821D now I'm really confuse is this good or bad?

Hey guys I was there a few months ago. I remember it was not fun but you cannot stop living a good life because you are waiting for this :/ it would be a shame to waste 3 or so months being sad. Enjoy spending time with those around you, volunteer, work on your résumé, have fun going places you don't need an ID to get in. Never let this be a burden or a road block from living a good life.

An identification has never stopped me from going places, a passport is more than enough (even with an old photo). As long as it is still valid. Humans always want something they don't have, I wish people would learn to use what they have instead of complaining about what they don't.

No, not at all. All of my colleges that I attended I've claimed to be a U.S citizen, I've had this habit of claiming to be a U.S. citizen in my college applications (I'm an undocumented U.S citizen ), yes please send me to jail for lying on my college application. Lol I don't think it really matters to be honest as long as you provide them with copies of your passport and birth certificate.

Wow really I didn't know u could check the status for the work permit I have only checked for deffered action. I been waiting since September 25, but I received an rFE, which I send the evidence back ASAP . They received my RFE On January 25th n I should have a respond by next week since is within 60days n bouts to hit my mark. USCIS told Me if I don't get an answer by next Tuesday to call them back. I hope I get approved. Congrats to u on ur approved

Yeah, i got this about a month ago, and it doesn't mean anything. It just means that no one opened your file, or mine, or anyone else's who is on Initial Review for that matter, they just put people on Initial Review status to keep people from calling. A background check does not take more than 4 days, so, someone has got about 10 working days with your file to work on it, and THAT IS PLENTY OF DAYS TO CHECK INFO if you are really working. In reality our files sit there for 6, 7, 8 months with no one touching them. Files arrive and they only open them to check if all the documents are there and to take the money, of course. That is the reason why people get RFE after 4 months that their files are sitting, there, because no one opens them and really checks anything at all. I am really pissed, I know it might sound selfish, but I have seen people here who sent papers on December and January who already received their papers and on the other hand, some people who sent stuff in August and Semptmber haven't head a damn word and when they call, the people at their offices have the audacity to be rude to them and say THEY HAVE TO WAIT. Screw that! Why not just say "We haven't looked at your file and when we do, we will either send you a RFE (now, 5 months later) or put you in the system so you wait another 2 months". Goddamn it, I am just too pissed at applications who were sent later being approved before the ones sent much, much sooner.
