    Entire Senate Bill Text Released

It doesn't matter if you went to College or not...what matters is that if you didn't, you have 5 years to get some sort of advanced degree in order to qualify for PR... I believe that they are giving us this opportunity to basically become skilled labor, and not just another average joe/jane...Hence, the requirements... Since I have always supported a higher education, I encourage every single individual that has not had the opportunity to get some sort of post secondary education, to go ahead and enroll in any program (associate's, bachelor's, technical, etc etc), whenever your particular condition allows you too... It is an investment of time and money, but it will more than pay off in the future... However, Caveat Emptor... Beware of for profit institutions that are super expensive and basically drain your funds, and become a super long term liability...these are U of Phoenix, Everest, ITT, etc... I would suggest attending an accredited institution like a community college, junior college, for tech/associate's, and accredited universities like State Us or Private Us...There is a huge difference between private and for-profit... Here is a documentary that will basically shed light into these for profit institutions...after this, you are more than welcome to make your decision...just wanted you to become more informed in regards to higher ed: http://video.pbs.org/video/1485280975/ It is about 50 mins - but you will be 50 mins smarter

    Entire Senate Bill Text Released

The bill was submitted to the Senate Judiciary committee first for some hearings and I believe the hearings are scheduled for Friday and some other hearings to follow thereafter. I don't know when exactly the bill would be sent to the Senate floor for debates, but it could be sometimes in May...hopefully.

In my opinion, for many other reasons, the longer the program, the better... If you can get an Associate's in Science from a Jr. College: You will be able to use your degree right after graduation and look for a job in your respective field You can transfer your credits to a traditional 4-year university if you want to continue your studies Your debt load will be significantly lower than if you attended a Career College I, personally, attended a Jr. College and transferred to a State U...it took me around 5 + years, but it was definitely worth it! If you don't have significant commitments other than a full time job, you can at least strive for the Associate's degree...schedules are mostly flexible and you can study around your work schedule... Even if you have a family, you can take a couple of classes per semester until you meet the requirements for the degree... Keep in mind that the requirements for PR will go into effect, if and only if, the bill passes in congress... However, it is still a good investment that will eventually lead to a career and not a job.

    Bee Venom Destroys Hiv.

Nanoparticles carrying a toxin found in bee venom can destroy human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) while leaving the surrounding cells unharmed. The research was conducted by the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. The Nanoparticles carry melittin, which is the principal active component of bee venom. Melittin fuses with the HIV virus and destroys it’s protective envelope while molecular bumpers prevent the nanoparticles from harming the body’s normal cells. Bee venom is known to disrupt cellular walls and destroy tumour cells as well. Bee venom contains a potent toxin called melittin that... http://www.collective-evolution.com/2013/03/13/bee-venom-destroys-human-immunodeficiency-virus-hiv/ Extremely interesting to read.

2.7 trillion? Holy cow...that's a lot of cha-ching! The requirements are not difficult to meet if you have been a good standing member of society, it really isn't. Traffic violations are the only things we should have as Dreamers, us ,people who have been brought up to be in absolutely no trouble with the law due to the familiar consequences, should NOT be involved in any kind of drug, battery, assult or theft related problems. We were brouht up considerably better than that, our latino parents are tougher than many parents around the world, we should know NOT to break the law. This bill will pass, and not everyone will get what they want, like they said, but if you qualify for it, but do not pass a background check due to a crime, then unfortunately, there is no one else to blame but...you know who. Every action has consequences. The fees are fair, no complaints there. The conditions aren't very much, but being here ilegally, again, we can't ask for every single thing American Citizens have by birth right. Other countries wouldn't think twice about deporting any of us. America is compassionate, even though it is not only because they are a country of immigrats as well, but you know, because they need all of us too. And RUBIO.... YOU ASSHOLE...NOT FUNNY!!! Let's secure the border, sure, great idea, but then if it fails, the American public hates us because the government didn't enforce the law years later. And I hope that we only have to wait 6 months to apply, and that they can get shit together at the border and have honest soldier that will stop taking coyote payments to let people through and into the country, they are causing part of the problem. And the December, 2011 cut off...that is not right, this is like another 100,000 people who will be here ilegally, and what about them? Do they expect them to simply pack up and go home? That is leaving dirty laundry, and dirty laundry stinks, and this is gonna come back to bite them in the butt. Just saying... Overall, it is a good bill as it is, but I am sure we will end up with less than what is there. Well, that is some of what I think.

Thanks guys I really appreciate everyone's input.. It's always nice to hear how everyone else thinks. I woke up feeling a little overwhelmed but feeling much better now @ Aled I've had a steady job for about 3 years now.. It's crazy how much having a job has helped me out! Like u said just knowing that you can contribute and be an asset to the household, it's a wonderful feeling! I think what I'm most excited about at the moment is getting my license!! I've been driving for a few years and have been pulled over once. The fear and the paranoia at checkpoints that @sotero_gonzalez mentioned uhhh it's the worse so that's something I'm really looking forward to. I'm taking the written exam this Friday, wish me luck @sotero_gonzalez and @engineer2mike what school do you guys plan to transfer to? As far as education goes I'm in a similar situation as u guys. I have my AA. I had to quit school because I couldn't afforded to transfer. Shortly after that I was very fortunate and found a job. Its certainly not my dream job but it pays the bills and its exactly the kind of job i had been needing. Life is expensive! I have been saving up what I can. My next big purchase will be a car I really hope to go back to school soon I'm happy to see that some of you don't feel under pressure I will learn from you guys and just take things one step at a time. With a plan in mind, let's make these next years count good luck to you all especially those of you like @profjouster who are still waiting to be approved!!

to be able to pay for school and get a better job. i already have an AA and im very close to transferring and ive only been going part time since i cant afford to go full time. thats what im looking forward to with my approval. oh and getting a drivers license, im tired of getting paranoid over those "checkpoints" the police put up everywhere. had some very close calls already. dont feel pressure, it might take a few months to get used to being able to do all the things you can do with the approval.

According to the requirements and the descriptions provided above, the Certificate Program might qualify as long as you receive it from a vocational school... Like I posted before, if you can get your certificate from a Jr. College, you will be better off than attending those other 'Career Colleges.' Your education will be significantly better, tuition will be lower, and your credits - most of the time - will be transferable to other institutions of higher learning, unlike those earned in a career college...

Now that Immigration is on the table, I feel that the clock is ticking because I have 2 more years to complete my Bachelor's Degree. I feel pressure as well to finish. I thankful that we DREAMERS are being legalize because I can get a job anywhere I want, and work /build on credit history. I know we all going to be productive citizens, and we won't need any social assistance from the FED. Just try to find something you're good at, and go to school to improve your skills

Getting approved and finally be able to get a job legally, get a driver's license and be able to pay for your schooling, as well as be an asset to your household. No better feeling than that, to finally be able to change your life. That being said, I don't think there's reasons for one to feel pressured I say that not knowing your circumstances. After those two years are up, you can renew your permit. Still in the air, there's a great possibility that an immigration reform is going to get approved. Of course having been approved gives you the opportunity to get a job and save money, if you're like me who doesn't yet have a college degree, my goal is to eventually save enough money to pay for schooling. I don't share the same feeling of pressure that you do, I feel like one needs to have a plan to say the least, and certainly prioritize.

    7 Or 8 Month Club..from Vermont?

I'm not at the 7 month mark yet but I have no doubts ill get there. I'm at the california service center and I've called a few times and when I used to call before my 6 months were up all they would tell me was that I had to wait that 6 months was the average waiting time. After my 6 months, which was on april 9th, all they tell me now is that they are a bit behind and are currently working on the applications filed on august 31st. I applied in october so it seems they are going to have to go through a whole months worth of applications before they get to mine. I called again yesterday and asked to speak to a level 2 officer and for the second time the person that answered my call told me that there is no such thing. That all the officers there are equally qualified to answer any questions we might have. So I asked for a service request since the website doesn't let me do it and they said that I'm still withing the average waiting time so I can't get one. I don't know if the people working there hate their jobs or hate us but none of the times I've called they've been any help. I understand and I know I may seem arrogant and frustrated and I know all cases are different but if we are all required to send the same information even though some send way more than others, why is it taking soo long?

yeah, that's what I figured. My mother brought me in as a child without border inspection. Well, hopefully things will work out for me and many of us here in the same situation. For now, I will continue my hunt for a job and keep my fingers crossed for the Dream Act to pass here in Florida.

It is called I821D, do not confuse it with I821. If you were approved for DACA, you will most likely be accepted for the EAD. But it isn't always the case. Congratulations!

    I Got Arrested Help???

Ok, first of all you have to accept that it was your fault, they may had provoked you, but you fell for it. Can you acknowledge that? Second, everything we do has consequences and now more than ever you have to keep your mind cool! Last, take a look at this http://adreamact.com/topic/1524-rfe-service-request/#entry10572 Perla got arrested after she applied for DACA, my bf had a record too. Best wishes to you, you'll be fine as long as you can start controlling your self 'cause clearly they want to fk you over.

    I Got Approved

You don't just move knowing damn well that you're waiting for important documents. Before you even started packing your stuff to move to a new place, you should of made sure that this is taken care off. You have to be on top of things, don't just wait for some lawyer to take care of it. I don't mean to sound like your father... but seriously!! What you should do now is try to reach out to the new tenants or owners and find out if they've received your mail.

Hey guys I was there a few months ago. I remember it was not fun but you cannot stop living a good life because you are waiting for this :/ it would be a shame to waste 3 or so months being sad. Enjoy spending time with those around you, volunteer, work on your résumé, have fun going places you don't need an ID to get in. Never let this be a burden or a road block from living a good life.

How long after Biometrics to get approved?

Oh absolutely. I have a feeling that we're just sitting in a pile on someone's desk waiting since they've received the floods of people applying after the election. Hopefully once they start moving this traffic jam, we'll be the first one's notified. Fingers crossed and minds occupied!!

How about we inform ourselves before saying such things? I do not have a ssn and I do own two credit cards. My credit score is above 700 as well. All you need is an ITIN. So yeah it is possible and NO you do NOT need a SSN. Just for the record, one is a visa and the other one is an American Express.
