Senator Says Boston Attack Should Factor In Immigration Debate !!!!!!
engineer2mike and 3 others reacted to roadrunner11 for a post in a topic
Welfare is there for a reason to help those less fortunate and in need. Everyone with a job should be grateful for not having to depend on those resources unless needed. I completely disagree with people making a "career" out of welfare and others paying taxes and not being able to collect benefits (those who pay taxes and are not entitled to any federal aid). But if one of us or any family member LEGITIMATELY needed this aid and could qualify temporarily then it is ok. -

It's funny cuz most of the ppl that are on welfare are white!! Has a black person I know plenty of African Americans who own there own business and/or are lawyers (DA) and very successful surgeons...I also know Latinoes who are successful so plz don't generalize only two ethnic groups ....I live in a town with 85% whites n 70% of them sit home n collect welfare n the minority group up here only about 15% of the collect welfare... -

Any One Else Going On 8 Months?
maguirr2 and 2 others reacted to Nholguin89 for a post in a topic
I know the waiting part really sucks, I waited for 6 months. but if its any comfort, when you get your EAD card in the mail, everything after that goes so fast, I got mine on a Friday, applied for a social that next Tuesday, picked up a official form with my SSN on Thursday, and got my drivers licence the Tuesday after. Its kinda funny because I got my licence before I got my SS card in the mail, I guess what I am trying to get across is that when it finally happens and everything starts coming together, how long you waited seems really really worth it, I still hold my licence and stare at it like it was a new born I even got a new wallet to put it in, ANYWAY. Good luck with everything to everybody and speedy wishes to all of y'all! -
3 pointsDude! C'mon - I understand your frustration, but this is uncalled for. Several reasons: Although latinos are the most popular immigrants in the US, we are not the only ones...people from all over the world are waiting for comprehensive immigration reform, just like us - Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe Arabs? They are Muslim of Chechen origin, but they are Radical, Extremist, Muslims. I know many muslims who are just super awesome and great friends - Arabs and Africans Hopefully this won't have an adverse effect on the debate (although I think it will), and hopefully I was able to clarify some of your confusions. Saying that are all Arabs are Terrorists is akin to saying that all Mexicans are lazy, all Colombians are drug dealers, etc etc. Just saying - let's avoid generalizations

hi guys =]] i finally sent my app this afternoon=]] im super excited =]] now i can get a timeline like everyone else =]] yay!! i hope i get approved, =]] =]] -
2 pointsI just realize that I didn't answer to the questions that the ADMIN provided. I didn't feel anything when it happened nor did I think anything of it, i felt bad for the victims, but honestly I felt a whole lot worse when those 20 kids at Newtown were massacred. What happened in Texas this week with the fertilizer plant explosion is a whole lot worse than what happened in Boston but for some reason this country is obsessed with terrorism and they forgot about Texas. I really don't want to speculate on what the motive was, I just want to wait for the facts to come out. ...but let me just comment about what took place on Friday. It's ridiculous that they would shut the whole city down for 24 hours and bring in almost every cop, FBI and National guards in the northeast looking for a 19 year old kid who is hungry, thirsty, Injured and loosing blood... that was just over the top and really pathetic, but I'm glad they got him alive. Just my opinion!
-
2 pointsI'm somewhat controversial when it comes to the topic of terrorism and violence, and I love it. The biggest terrorist in the world is the United States of America, no question about it! What happened in Boston is tragic and there's no excuse for it, but let's get real for a moment. What do you say to the one MILLION Iraqis who lost their lives for nothing or the 1.5 MILLION Vietnamese who died in the Vietnam war? And not to mention the infamous Atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki that wiped out 250.000 or more people in an instant and many more suffered lingering effects of the bomb. The United States have been terrorizing the world for past century, and the number of innocent people this country have killed is mind blowing. The Boston tragedy is horrible, no innocent life deserve to be taken recklessly regardless of where they live or which god they pray to. Every life is equal in value and no life is more important than the other. No act of violence is excusable and that sure as hell goes for the United States as well. Terrorism breeds terrorism and violence breeds violence and for as long as this country continues to wage reckless and worthless wars on other nations, people will rebel and the result will not be pretty. We don't know yet the motives behind the Boston attack but whatever the motive is we should stop the hate and the stereotypes...and for god sake stop the drone war!

2 pointsI'll preface by saying that any kind of destructive behavior where people are put in danger is not acceptable. I was working on a job in SF when I saw a bunch of posts on FB about it, I was unsure about the topic so I briefly found a news update about it. I didn't really get affected by it whatsoever since such acts like that are isolated incidents in our country and I'm never in fear of my life. Think of the fear that people must go through everyday in the Israel/Palestine where suicide bombers are prevalent. As a country we can't let bad apples destroy our forward progress. If it is an act of terror funded by the ilks of terror organizations their objective is to keep the States in a state of fear, disruption, and panic. We can't fall victim to such tactics and we must continue with our lives. Accept what happened, pay respect to those who have perished, honor those who have saved, reevaluate the system, and move forward. I'm not one to dwell in the past and often will side with an objective point of view.

2 pointsSending proof of every month is almost a guaranteed approval if your background check comes out OK. They will not take gaps of more than a month and I'm making this assumptions because of everything I have read in the forum, most RFE are caused because of month gaps and other minimal evidence. My advise to you, even if you think it is enough.. it is never enough unless you cover every single month. Doesn't have to be every single day or week, but month. Keep in mind everything helps, receipts, xbox history, purchases online, bank accounts, credit card accounts, school record (high school & college), paypal history Evidence should cover from 2007 to the actual date, also do not forget to include evidence of presence in the US when the bill was signed by Obama. Before you send your application with the evidence, make note of everything you are sending, come to the forum and post a list (as detailed as possible). We will help you out in case there is something missing. Best of luck!

When things like this happens, people in this country turn into complete idiots. I've been reading tons of comments and posts on many social networks sites and I can't believe how racist, stupid and completely irrational people are. Some jackasses are trying to turn this tragedy into a political debate about immigration and some others are blaming Russians and Muslims for this tragedy. The news media on the other hand is over speculating about things that they don't know. The stupidity of many people in this country is what brought us the Iraq war and all of its unconstitutional laws like the Patriot-Act. I'm just going to watch all the nonsense that will be coming out of the media in the coming days. The racist right wingers are not going to derail immigration reform again, i'm fed up with them! -

I know a lot of unproductive piece of sht people most of them African Americans nd Puerto Ricans that posses ZERO skills at anything nd expect to get payed a boat load of money, unproductive piece of sht people do nothing but bitch about everything sit at home nd live under warfare checks . Since I came to this great nation I been working my ass (14) started to work at a French fry place after school instead of hanging around,I had to stay in the library to translate all my tasks from English to Spanish,go over my day with my ESL teacher, after library I had to go to work by bus by taxy lot of times even walking under the rain, snow or 100 degrees under the sun. Came home almost at 1am go to sleep nd same routine over nd over till I graduated from high school. After high school I was devastated when I knew that I was not gonna be able to go to college cuzz of my status so I had no more option than to keep working, without papers got involved in the apparel business thanks to tutorials on YouTube nd lot of reading in google nd Wikipedia learned about business nd graphic design, fall of 2012 applied for my working permit winter of 2012 got my working permit SSN nd Driving permit(next month I'm getting my license) 2013 partner up with the apparel company that I used to work,we just opened 5 new locations 45 total nd one of the things that really piss me off is to see LEGAL unproductive people bitching doing nothing but destroying this great nation with their arrogance nd laziness. I was 14 when i came, now I'm 23 with a successful life nd future in front of me. Amen ... -
1 pointI have created this topic to discuss your feelings and reactions towards the 2 bombers and we all know by now what happened. What did you think when it happened? How did you react when it happened? Why do you think they did it? These are just some questions to think about when writting your replys. We should to have a good discussion about the bombing and how it affected our lives in one way or another.

How To Change Ssn With Current Employer?

How about just say that you need to update your SSN? If it requires a new I-9, it's all good since it's legit. That's what I'm going to do with all my clients that I've filled out W-9s with as well as with my bank. -

1 pointI just want to say first of all that it is horrible how the older brother died, and they even posted a picture of his dead body on Reddit. I was horrified. No one deserves that, his family doesn't deserve it, he has a child, and she will see that someday, because everyone knows, once it is on the net, it never goes away. I do not know why they did it, how this came about, but it has been reported they both travelled to their home country for 6 months and came back a little different, so, it is speculation what happened in those 6 months. I think they were brainwashed, c'mon, how does a pre med student in America suddenly turn violent and blows up people? It does not make sense. How does a great boxer just wake up one day and plants a bomb in a crowd? It just doesn't add up. I am not saying they didn't do it, or shouldn't feel the full weight of the law fall on them, but it sure as shit doesn't seem like any other terrorist case I've seen. And I say them, because even tho one of them was tragically killed, it does not change what despicable act he allegedly commited. I just feel apalled by how much my fellow Bostonians are rejoycing over this tragic death. I am happy that they caught the younger brother and that he is alive to answer for what he did, and maybe even help us bring down worse terrorist organizations, who knows? I logged into msnbc this morning and they had pictures of the older brother at the gym, when he was boxing, and some morons were asking to see pictures of him dead, shot in the head, his limp body, how sick is that? These people are acting no better than the ones they call terrorists themselves. As an individual, I find it shameful to want death to someone else as justice, as a human being, it should be against out nature to wish death upon another fellow human. I am so sorry for the victimis, people who will never walk normally again, never have a normal life, and the ones who lost their loved ones may never recover. They know exactly what it feels like to be lost, vulnerable, just like the families of the ones who did this. I guess we will have to wait for the boy to wake up and tell the world what happened, why do this, but no matter what explanation he gives, if he gives ones, the world has already decided his faith, and that is also a tragedy. Some people get brainwashed into doing things by extremist countries, and religion, and I am definitely not saying that they should be given a pass because they were acting crazy because someone made them do it, no,but the hate that this country has against the Muslims, Arabs and all that they are not familiar with, fuels this war. This is just an opinion, I am not defending the alleged bombers, I just think that hate spewes hate, and there has been enough death, and it is clear that the attempts to bombard American citizens or citizens of anywhere else has done nothing good too the world. I see no logic in this. Please, let's stop this as respect for the victimis of hate, bombs, animosity and fear everywhere in the world!

In every race, background, religion, etc (I don't see color; I see people): you have productive people that contribute to society and add value you have leechers It is your decision as to with whom you want to associate with... (and I mean 'your decision' in general, not 'your decision' as in someone in particular)

I agree that most Citizens of this country do not take advantages of the opportunites that they have in this country. I have alot of friends who don't really try to better their lives and have the opportunity to do so. I've worked my butt off since I was 18 at my job and five years later and a few promotions and im making a better living than most people I know. I always ponder as to if I had the same privilages that they've had since birth where I would be, but I'm actually glad of my situation of not being legal because I've had to work a bit harder to get to where I am instead of depending on the government. -

Boston Bombers Of Chechen Ethnicity - The Impact On Cir
Gezinha reacted to roadrunner11 for a post in a topic
I agree with Gezinha as long as we can get our PR and visit our countries I will be content. No matter what these people did the immigration topic has to be addressed because the legislative branch has put in a lot of time this year just to toss it away. -
1 pointI definitely do not have a sense of entitlement. And I hate people who do. I believe if you are a citizen in the greatest nation of this world it is a PRIVILEDGE to be able to work and support yourself and your family. The citizens of this country are known around the world as ignorant, stupid, lazy and arrogant, and that is not true for the vast majority. But getting in line to take advantage of SS benefits just because receiving a $400 check evey week is better than flipping burguers for $300 a week, is shameful for any citizen of any country. In Brazil people work a whole month to receive $600 reais, which equals $300 dollars, and yes it is accordingly to what the price of things are there, but it is the equivalent of people here accepting minimun wage and working just for that. And let me tell you, I personally do not know one signle American citizen who will work for less than $15 bucks/hr here in MA, far less for minimun wage. And that is the main reason why so many American citizens choose to receive welfare and most non documented immigratns always have jobs and do not live off the government. Which boggles my mind because isn't it more shameful to receive money from the government when you are perfectly physically capable of findind a job? It doesn't matter that you find that job demeaning, it is still a job, but no, for some mystifying reason, they would rather stand in line for welfare than to actually stand in line to apply for McD's or BK. They would rather get "free money" for nothing, than far less money than they think they deserve for honest work. Plain and simple, that group of people, to which I personally refer to as "free loaders", are despicable, and they are not the majority of the country, thank God, but what frustrates people like me and Itzel is that we don't have a legal right to work and even go to school in the country where we grew up, and these people take this for granted, and in this situation, it is maddening seeing a chance like this thrown away because it is not something that you can transfer to the next person, an American citizen just wastes it, literally, throws it away for welfare instead of making something of his or herself and going through the rough like us. ( I'm assuming this is how you feel, Itzel, sorry if I am putting your name here and you don't feel like that, please call me on it if that is not how you feel.) There are stereo types and generalizations in every culture and every country, but this is more about the opportunity to take chance to better ourselves, and definitely not to take advantage of the government. And by doing that, and having that chance, we will never have to depend on the government.

1 pointI agree with the generalizations part, but I can't help but still want to generalize some white (trash) dare I say the word trash???? US citizens who have all the privileges we dream of having (citizenship, work immediately upon turning 16, apply for federal finacial aid, get DL at 16, etc...) and dont value it and instead prefer to get in line for welfare and are accusing us illegals of coming over to do just that...sorry personal rant here..but its true...

Some people have to use lawyers if they have problems with their records. I've helped many people whos application wasn't going to be straight forward. It honestly was a little confusing to me so I had a lawyer do everything for me. I didn't wanna risk the chance of an rfe or otherwise. But yes, anyone can always post in the forums with questions and problems. There's an answer for everything! -
1 pointI found a free lawyer to help fill out my application on the USCIS website. Here is the link http://www.justice.gov/eoir/statspub/raroster_files/raroster_orgs_reps_state_city.htm I just payed the fee.
