If Your Case Is Taking Too Long This Might Help!!
BRIZA87 and 2 others reacted to Veevee20 for a post in a topic
Uscis had received my application on sept 20,2013 biometrics on Oct 24,2013 and since then I waited. I would call to try to get some type of answer and I would never get one, all they would say is wait and sometimes be rude. I've read some cases here were people talk about making themselves sick with depression and anxiety attacks, and yes i had those too. You can't help but to think your application is getting denied because its been sooo long, well at least I did. What I finally decided to do was to contact my local congressman which in my case was Raul Ruiz. Congressman can get into any Federal files with your concent of course. So I filled out the form and explained my situation, printed it out, signed it and faxed it. All that happened on a Monday April 8,2013 and by Friday the 12th I was already approved. Id like to think he helped me. After all you got nothing to lose, give it a try. Hope this helped. -

Right now, I'm on a service request, I'm going to wait & see if they actually give me a decision after it, if not this is my plan B Thank you!!!! -

Where do you look to find a new job?
engineer2mike and one other reacted to pswa83 for a post in a topic
i checked with friends and family first. my mom works at a hospital and my first job after DACA was at the same hospital, then got a job as a 911 dispatcher for a neighboring city and now i work back at the same hospital i started at. indeed.com monster.com shot, even craigslist sometimes has legit jobs. i have a friend (she's a USC) who got a job that was posted on CL. the key is to apply at everyplace that will take your application. it may not be your dream job but until you do get your dream job, every job you work gives you experience and is a stepping stone to your dream job. -

1 pointWhen things like this happens, people in this country turn into complete idiots. I've been reading tons of comments and posts on many social networks sites and I can't believe how racist, stupid and completely irrational people are. Some jackasses are trying to turn this tragedy into a political debate about immigration and some others are blaming Russians and Muslims for this tragedy. The news media on the other hand is over speculating about things that they don't know. The stupidity of many people in this country is what brought us the Iraq war and all of its unconstitutional laws like the Patriot-Act. I'm just going to watch all the nonsense that will be coming out of the media in the coming days. The racist right wingers are not going to derail immigration reform again, i'm fed up with them!

Senator Says Boston Attack Should Factor In Immigration Debate !!!!!!
erika020 reacted to dreamer123 for a post in a topic
We need to target congress to get the bill passed. According to dreamact.info 208 say yes while 116 say no. If I'm not mistaking then we need 218 to pass right? This is the time. Let's target our local senator and make it happen! To those that have gotten their Ead and even those that haven't. The time to stick together is now! Let's make it happen. Spread the word! -
1 pointI agree - My opinion: Work hard, earn your bread and sanctify your work. 'let him not eat, him who does not work' - if you are able to work, work (work is also studying). I am capitalist at heart, therefore, earn your livelihood regardless of your job as long as it is honest...no honest job ever demoralized a human!

1 pointI definitely do not have a sense of entitlement. And I hate people who do. I believe if you are a citizen in the greatest nation of this world it is a PRIVILEDGE to be able to work and support yourself and your family. The citizens of this country are known around the world as ignorant, stupid, lazy and arrogant, and that is not true for the vast majority. But getting in line to take advantage of SS benefits just because receiving a $400 check evey week is better than flipping burguers for $300 a week, is shameful for any citizen of any country. In Brazil people work a whole month to receive $600 reais, which equals $300 dollars, and yes it is accordingly to what the price of things are there, but it is the equivalent of people here accepting minimun wage and working just for that. And let me tell you, I personally do not know one signle American citizen who will work for less than $15 bucks/hr here in MA, far less for minimun wage. And that is the main reason why so many American citizens choose to receive welfare and most non documented immigratns always have jobs and do not live off the government. Which boggles my mind because isn't it more shameful to receive money from the government when you are perfectly physically capable of findind a job? It doesn't matter that you find that job demeaning, it is still a job, but no, for some mystifying reason, they would rather stand in line for welfare than to actually stand in line to apply for McD's or BK. They would rather get "free money" for nothing, than far less money than they think they deserve for honest work. Plain and simple, that group of people, to which I personally refer to as "free loaders", are despicable, and they are not the majority of the country, thank God, but what frustrates people like me and Itzel is that we don't have a legal right to work and even go to school in the country where we grew up, and these people take this for granted, and in this situation, it is maddening seeing a chance like this thrown away because it is not something that you can transfer to the next person, an American citizen just wastes it, literally, throws it away for welfare instead of making something of his or herself and going through the rough like us. ( I'm assuming this is how you feel, Itzel, sorry if I am putting your name here and you don't feel like that, please call me on it if that is not how you feel.) There are stereo types and generalizations in every culture and every country, but this is more about the opportunity to take chance to better ourselves, and definitely not to take advantage of the government. And by doing that, and having that chance, we will never have to depend on the government.

Best Credit Cards To Apply For After Daca
engineer2mike reacted to Santi for a post in a topic
Cash is king, and credit is the cornerstone of the modern economy... When applying for a CC, watch that Interest Rate and be aware of the small print...a variable interest rate and a huge balance on your account will eat your cash flow in a minute if the IR turns to the upside, well above the rate you were quoted when you agreed to borrow the funds. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!! (buyer beware) Don't spend all your funds on candy and stuff, and make sure you can comfortably cover your CC payments punctually on a monthly basis (if you can pay more than the minimum, even better)... And remember CASH IS KING (Finance 101) - don't tie up your free cash flow in the coverage of financial leverage (credit) after all your expenses are accounted for... You are welcome... BTW - I have had Capital One for a while now. -
1 pointThis may be a long shot, but try contacting your local congressman/woman. On their websites, there's a form you can fill out authorizing him/her (or their agents) to look into your case. I did this last week after 5 months of waiting, and my case was just approved on Friday. There's no guarantees, but they can inquire into your case and possibly nudge them to move the process along. In my request form, I explained my situation and gave them my case number. A lot of people don't know but this is one of the functions of a congressman/woman. They are authorized to look into any government agency's processes, especially if a constituent (you and I) ask for their help. Hope this helps!
