Hello everyone, i'm new in here. I just sent out my application and found this site today. I'm glad I did because, I felt so alone. It's great to know that there are many others in my situation who will understand me and not judge me. I'm a female, late teens and living in the tri-state area. Came here as a child and overstayed my visa. Being granted DACA will change my life tremendously, as i'm sure it already has for those who have been approved. So today as every day for the past 7 months, I checked my status and the initial review circle was no longer blue. My case has finally been approved.

The SSN numbers themselves are no different than a U.S. Citizen's. The problem is that our SSNs are NEW, so they aren't in all of the system's yet. You need to establish credit with your number so that it can be looked up. Your number isn't ran with the SSA for verification, it is ran with credit unions. By the time a U.S. Citizen uses his SSN, it has been issued for at least 15+ years.

You might have a point but I have heard of people transferring their credit history from their ITIN numbers to their new social, the error might come from the social not having any history on it as in being brand new, how can they check your credit history if you have not used it? That might be the problem why dont youtry toput utilities to your name and new social, get a credit card under the new social start building your credit.
