    Some Advice.....

Lately, I have been reading on FB and other forums about people, who are approved, losing their EADs or wallets that carry their EADs and/or SSNs. Some advice: 1.) If you happen to live in a state where you can get a DL/ID (whether it states limited term or Temp visitor or what ever), PLEASE DO SO!!! Once you have that, there is NO NEED to carry around your EAD with you. 2.) If you lose and need to replace your SSN, please know that you can only apply for a replacement 3 times in a calendar year and 10 times within your life time. You should memorize this number or put in your cell phone and take measures to lock your cell phone with a pin number ONLY you know. 3.) Unless your are hired for a job and your employer ask to see your EAD and SSN, then you DO NOT need to show or tell anyone about your legal presence. This is PRIVATE information and no one cane force you to disclose it. I am not saying this because I am trying to be mean or give a lecture or any of the sort. I am saying this because we, as DACA applicants, approved or not, are under such a microscope as it is, that things such as this will only fuel the fire with the opposition. Also, we have waited for this our whole lives and to be careless with something we've waited for for so long, we just need to take a little extra measures to ensure to safety of our identity. Last if this offends anyone, I will not apologize as this is my opinion. Others may have theirs and I respect that so if an argument follows this (for what ever reason) then I take NO RESPONSIBILITY for anything that follows my original post.

Ok guys, update*** So I have been doing my homework, and been asking people around the internet here and there about this whole interview process. So basically this is what goes on during the interview: You go in, show your ID and your notice you got in the mail. DO NOT take in your phone, as they will make you take it back to the car and this could make you late for your interview. You wait for a little while and they call you in. They make you swear that you will be telling the truth. They take you inside an office. They tell you it is just a procedure, something random. Then they ask everything about the I-821 D application (the 6 page one) Nothing about the I765 or i765WS (work permit) applications. While asking you, they are watching your every move, so if you do stuff like tilt your head (something that shows you are in doubt) they will ask you more about that question. They go over every single question, so you might want to take a look at that application question by question and make sure you know what you answered. No one should have a problem because you should know the questions since they are about your life. Of course never mention any details if they ask you how you got here. You can say you don't recall, you were little. Back to the interview, it is very brief, 15-20 minutes. The agents are not wearing a uniform, they are normal people. After the agent is finished reviewing every question, he or she will tell you that you should receive a notice within the next 30 days. It actually takes 3 weeks. And this is it! Extra: You might want to take more evidence in case they ask you, but this really hasn't happened to anyone. They do ask you if it's the same evidence as the one you provided. And they do not review it. But do take a copy of your whole packet and the originals just to be on the safe side Good luck and be prepared!!! I know it is stressful and dreadful, but everything is looking great for us! Let's not panic!

    I'm Just ..

You have been waiting all this time dont throw it all away, maintain that hope if you have nothing to fear and have abide by all the requirements of daca it HAS to be approved.. sooner or later but it will eventually. at one point or another we all get that feeling of anger and discouragement more when other people who applied after you get approved, but you just have to remind yourself that it will come..remember we are all in the same boat we are all hoping to get this once in a life time change, people before us who just aged out did not get this opportunity..WE DID!

    I'm New Here

I also have not taken the route of applying through my wife that is a US citizen. My lawyer said even with a waiver I can get denied re-entry. It's just too much of a risk as of this movement. Good luck with your case. I don't know if you have any children together but I'm sure the kids would help your case.
