    College Tuition After Daca

even though you have lived in the US for a long time, what matters is the paper aspect of everything. techincally you have only been legally presence in the US since your EAD was made. there are a lot of states that will grant in state tuition to DACA applicants but only if they meet other requirements first. and there are some schools that wont even let DACA applicants apply to the school. does the school you are trying to apply to know that you have a US high diapolma? here in CA, if one atteneded high school for 3 years in CA and graduated from a CA high school then they qualify for in state tuition. now CA has the CA Dream Act which will allow student to apply for money for school. i would do some research on what the school requires as residency, print it out and then make an appt with an admin rep and financial aid rep. sometimes when you talk to the people at the desk at the admin or registors office, usually they are students on a student work program and dont know much. so if you can do a little research make those appts and see what happens. worse thing that happens, is that you have to wait a yr to pay residency tuition. in the mean time, see if you can take one class, that way when you register for more classes (when you're paying residency tuition) you are considered a return student and get into core classes sooner.

9 Months Waiting To Get An Rfe!!!!!

So I just received an email from USCIS saying that they just sent me an RFE. I'm soooo pissed off that I started crying when I read the email. They are full of shit like they had to make me wait 9 months to send me an RFE!!!!!!! They must of had my case collecting dust and just now they looked at it. I guess I just have to wait for the letter and see what they're asking for. Thanks for reading and I'll keep you guys posted.

10 Day Hold On My Ssn Application?

So because this is a cruel waiting game, of course the SS office told me that they had to put a 10 day hold on submitting my application because my EAD was so new. Did I miss anyone covering this topic? Has anyone experienced this? This means that in 10 days, they will finally submit my application and when I receive a letter in the mail, I can get a printout of my SSN. And then my actual card will be mailed to me within 4 weeks after the 10 days. Why can't I have a time machine?

I've noticed that many people don't seem to know that you have to create an account online to be able to receive Case Status Updates. I think this is because many people believe that by sending in the form G-1145 with their application, they would receive text and e-mail updates. The purpose of the form G-1145 was to notify you of when the Lockbox had received your application. After that, you won't get any further updates on your case. If you want to receive a notification whenever there is an update to your case, you're going to have to Sign up for it on the USCIS website. Let's get started: - First, go to this link to create an account, https://egov.uscis.g...tercustomer.jsp - You will see this form. Fill it out and click Submit. *Make sure to add a phone number if you want to receive text updates. - After you have created your account, Sign In using your User ID and Password. - After you have logged in, you will have the option to add your Receipt Number to your Portfolio. Click on Add a Case to Your Portfolio *You will be able to add your second Receipt Number on the next page. - Enter your Application Receipt Number, - Your application will now be added to your Portfolio. Click on Add a Case to Your Portfolio to add your second Receipt Number. - After you have added both Receipt Numbers to your portfolio, you will then be able to turn on the notifications. First, click on both of the boxes under Select. Then, click on E-mail Alert On or Mobile Alert On, or both, to turn on the notifications. - You will now receive a notification whenever there is an update to your case, like a Request For Evidence, Approval, Denial, Notice To Appear, Name Update or Case Transfer. No more need for constant checking. * Some of you will still be checking your status daily.

    College Tuition After Daca

Sorry to hear that .... but like pswa and Rawf said do some research, maybe your state does offer some kind of financial aid for you, or maybe there's a waiver or something The Assembly Bill 540 is only for the state of CA.

10 Day Hold On My Ssn Application?

UGH!!!! Everything is taking painfully long. Almost 8 months to get approved and now 2 months to get my SSN?! Not even the actual card, just a damn printout! It's been 6 weeks and counting and they still haven't received confirmation from USCIS. I was told it could take up to 8 weeks so of course, its going to take the longest possible time! ARGH! Wouldn't be so frustrated if it wasn't so nice out and I didn't have an interview lined up for a job. I want my motorcycle and new job NOW.

Hopefully it passes. The pink stripe and NO LAWFUL STATUS was really unnecessary.
