So guys finally had my interview!!! Everything went great! The agents were extremely nice and asked me some of the questions on the application... they also asked me if I had used a fake social and if it belonged to someone. They asked me what I have been doing since I graduated from high school. If I was married or had kids. I was very nervous, but they made me feel comfortable. My interview was at 1:30 pm, and by 4 pm I checked the uscis website, and I was on the card production stage!!! Two hours later, both of my applications were approved!!! Can't wait to get my work permit! !!!!!

    How Has Life Changed?

How has your life changed after being approved and gotten all your docs (ead, ssn, dl/id)? Aside from getting my dl/id nothing has drastically changed for me. I've been running two businesses, one since 2005 and one since 2007, so I didn't have to search for a job. All my work comes from referrals. Last week I applied for business licenses and payed back taxes for the businesses - so that's a major milestone for legitimacy.

Hello to everyone. Like to start off by saying this is a great site. A little info about me. My name is Luis, I have been here since 1 month old. My mom was pregnant with me here in CA where we used to live and left to Mexico to be along my grandparents (months preg). Then came right back with a 1 month old. I'm 27 now, married to A US citizen and have 2 great boys. Unfortunately we have not been able to apply through my wife since I don't want to leave the country. My lawyer sent my app for DACA Apr 4th and I went in for bios Apr 17th (walk in). The wait starts. My dad was here for the amnesty of 86 but due to issues with his file getting lost he want able to become a US citizen until just recently, it was too late for him to claim me since I was already over 18. I'm already lucky enough to have a great job as I work for my inlaws as a subcontractor. But getting DACA will finally allow me to drive without fear and be able to take my family on a well deserved vacation.

Thanks for sharing your story I'm pretty sure all of us in this forum can relate somewhat to your story. We didn't have a say coming into this world, God knows I've asked myself plentyyy of times as well "why me... why couldn't I just be like everyone else" but that's life. We have to make the best of things and definitely look at the positives. There are people in other countries living way way worse than us so lets count our blessings. DACA has been a tremendous big step for all of us and I pray that this is just the beginning. With all the talk about the immigration reform hopefully better things come our way. wish you the best

#1.. I agree with Rawf.. It was amazing to have the e-verify come back with a green light on being able to work! I have started working recently, not happy with hours, but beggers can't be choosers! & I get great benefits! Taking my dmv written test tomorrow, so I am hopeing I do good, so I can get my dl next! And having my babies ask for money for el paletero & actually having some....Preiceless!! Defeanetly more busy lately, but I wouldn't change a thing! Love it!!!!!

    How Has Life Changed?

Everything has changed for me. From ID to Learners Permit to License, was able to open 3 credit card accounts and purchased a car using a loan with extremely low interest. Don't have the job of my dream, but I'm working on it. Being able to work legally is the most amazing thing ever. Getting e-verified and coming up clean and valid is a great feeling.
