    How Has Life Changed?

I too appreciate and thankful for DACA because the E-Verify Glass Barrier was shattered to pieces once I got Approved. It feel awesome not worrying about background checks . I will resume College this Fall to complete my Junior & Senior Year in Engineering. I got a Capitol One Credit Card, and i will soon move-in to my own place. It's been the happiest Summer of my life. I hope A lot of prosperity to you Guys, and I hope all your goals are met

So yesterday Jul. 30 I got a call from my lawyers office letting me know that they had contacted uscis. They spoke to an officer regarding my long waitng case. Which goes like this : Application received Nov. 14 2012 , Biometrics Dec. 12 2012 , Rfe March 6 2013 , Response to rfe April 22 2013 . So the officer looked up my case and said that my case was just there pending , wasnt sure why it was taking to long to get a decision on my case. So he sent out an inquiry to whoever is working on my case. So we are suppose to get a response to the inquiry withing 15 days. I really hope that if my case is just sitting there without anyone looking at it that with this inquiry they start working on it again. So lets see what happens within the next two weeks.

Yes! I finally got approved after 9 months of waiting. I was told my case was being investigated for fraud, I made several service request inquiries with no response, and I even emailed Nebraska office directly and didn't get a response, but I think that's what helped me get approved. Bcuz after 2 weeks of sending them an email I got approved. I now have my red card and I'm in the process of obtaining my ssn and my license. I'll be sticking around here to help those who have questions about their case. Good luck to rest who are still waiting!!!!!

Hi dreamers, This is a funny / interesting picture had found a while back online about legal immigration detailing the different pathways to citizenship. It was made a while back and was meant to address the annoying opponents of immigration who usually just say 'just get in line', as if it's a walk in the park. sorry it's a pdf file not a picture, but it's a pdf of an image http://reason.org/files/a87d1550853898a9b306ef458f116079.pdf

I've noticed that many people don't seem to know that you have to create an account online to be able to receive Case Status Updates. I think this is because many people believe that by sending in the form G-1145 with their application, they would receive text and e-mail updates. The purpose of the form G-1145 was to notify you of when the Lockbox had received your application. After that, you won't get any further updates on your case. If you want to receive a notification whenever there is an update to your case, you're going to have to Sign up for it on the USCIS website. Let's get started: - First, go to this link to create an account, https://egov.uscis.g...tercustomer.jsp - You will see this form. Fill it out and click Submit. *Make sure to add a phone number if you want to receive text updates. - After you have created your account, Sign In using your User ID and Password. - After you have logged in, you will have the option to add your Receipt Number to your Portfolio. Click on Add a Case to Your Portfolio *You will be able to add your second Receipt Number on the next page. - Enter your Application Receipt Number, - Your application will now be added to your Portfolio. Click on Add a Case to Your Portfolio to add your second Receipt Number. - After you have added both Receipt Numbers to your portfolio, you will then be able to turn on the notifications. First, click on both of the boxes under Select. Then, click on E-mail Alert On or Mobile Alert On, or both, to turn on the notifications. - You will now receive a notification whenever there is an update to your case, like a Request For Evidence, Approval, Denial, Notice To Appear, Name Update or Case Transfer. No more need for constant checking. * Some of you will still be checking your status daily.

same here. they sent out an inquiry on my behalf yesterday and i'm waiting 14 days to hear back from them. we deserve every right to know something other than, "its just pending". of course we know it's pending, we're not stupid.. just want to know what the hold up is

Glad to see your lawyer stepped up and is trying to find out what is taking your case so long. Did you asked your lawyer to call or did he do it himself?
