My app was received on 1/28 and did my bio 2/26. On July 28th I made an e-request because it had been 6 months and just today at 9:30am received an email and txt saying my name was updated. Just now at 1:40 I received an email and txt saying On August 5, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I821D Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Nothing yet for the work permit but I hope it is updated today as well!!!! This forum has been a great help for me, and has helped me in so many ways. All the users here have been nothing but nice , it is refreshing to see and know that this is a place where people support one another and I want to thank you all for everything.

Hello everyone just wanted to share this with yall I sent my application on November 13 Did my bios on december 6th And from then i havent heard anything until yesturday after i did a service request (It appears that your application is outside normal processing times however there has been an extremely large volume of cases being processed. Your case is in the process of being assigned to an officer for review and you will receive a decision or notice of other action within approximately 30-45 days) Has anybody recived something like this? Does it mean im getting closer?lol

You should only carry it with you if you're going to be going to a job interview incase they ask about your work authorization. Another instance where you should carry it is if you're going to be crossing a Border Patrol inspection, other than that, you should leave it at home.

If I was you I wouldn't carry it. My cousin got her purse stolen from her car and she had to pay all the fees again. Plus the wait. Btw the paper that it came in specifically says "Do not carry with you." TIP: I took a picture of mine so if I ever need it I have it in my cell phone.

if you get denied, first you need to make sure the reason why. if it was an admin error on part of the USCIS, then one can apply and will not have to pay the $465 again however, if one is denied and it reason was the fault of the applicant (lack of evidence or such) then one can reapply but would still need to pay the $465 again. what is best, is to make sure that you have all the main requirements of DACA met. remember that you can not use affidavits for the main requirements. one can use affidavits to cover small gaps of time within the 5 year period between 2007 to 2012. even if it takes a while, it is always better to send as a complete evidence package as possible to avoid receiving a RFE. there have been new reports that people have used video gaming logs such as from XBOX as evidence. so take the time to look into every avenue possible in gathering evidence.
