All you have to wait on is the letter with your EAD and you're ready to head over to the local Social Security office. This is the form you'll need to fill out: http://www.ssa.gov/online/ss-5.pdf. Be sure to read all of it to ensure you bring the correct docs with you to the office. The process is fairly quick. You'll meet briefly with an officer who will review your docs and process your application. I own a web design business and a film/tv lighting design business. My AA degree is in film production.

wait for the approval leteer then your card will come int he mail they will give you a tracking number so you can track down your work permit with usps.... after that go to the social security office bring your work permit and your passport... and you should have your ss number in 2-4 weeks i got mines in 2 weeks now im going to get my driver licence this week good luck and congrats!!
