1/9/15 On 2014 Republicans voted to end DACA. We need to keep in mind DACA will eventually end! I have not been approved & I still worry about the outcome since I have a prior D.U.I from 6 years ago. At the moment everyone is safe for now, but do keep in mind Obama's Presidency ends on Jan. 2017 after that anything can happen. For those who have been approved by DACA I encourage you to come back to this site & write any information you read about immigration & DACA. Just to keep everyone up to date as I will when ever I can. I"m sure most forget about the reality of the situation when you get approved by DACA soon reality hits again when your renewal comes up.I encourage everyone to save your money & enjoy yourself as much as you can.I truly believe there will be no immigration reform any time soon the best thing to do is "Marriage" We all need to help each other out.Life is tough! some have it great, some don't we all have different directions. Positive vibes everyone!

I hope so. Most people that are not in our situation are quick to speak. In other forums I always see the following "They don't pay taxes,they take our jobs etc" I pay taxes & a high percentage of immigrants do too.What jobs? jobs Americans don't want to do. For most of us this is our home now,we didn't choose to come here we were brought here at a young age. I don't understand why DACA is such a problem for Republicans. We initially pay to see if we get approve & then once again for a renewal. There's also requirements that need to be met. If you get in trouble you're disqualified. They know there's not going to be an immigration reform so at least give us this much.

Obama did whatever can with his limits, technically he didn't have to do anything. Looking at this a year later and I can say I'm truly grateful for not having to avoid the ssn box and walking around with a foreign passport with no visa. I'm currently building credit and starting a new business and Its all legal, all within 6 months of being approved. Now this is expanded for an extra year and also some parents can enjoy this also yet people still complain...smh Try to remember your life before June 2012.

Honestly instead of some of us complaining we should be grateful for this. Some might see this as a slap in the face but now more people can apply for the parents DACA. YALL was complaining about that. Now this. Some people just can't be happy. Like outofmxny said be humble and grateful for this. Just imagine if this was a next president, we wouldn't have ish! . Is not all about green cards. Right now it's all about those work permit! We can work for three years then keep on renewing it. I'm more excited for that, that I can use that to continue work the legal way so my gorgeous daughter shouldnt have to worry about where her diapers, food and etc is coming from. Like everyone else we all miss our families back home. Obama is doing the best he can. It's up to congress to the rest which is giving us greencards by that way we can go home legally and come back to the US legally. BE GRATEFUL AND HUMBLE FOR THIS! COZ IN A BLINK OF AN EYE IT CAN BE TAKEN AWAY!

THE PRESIDENT CANNOT GRANT GREEN CARDS OR PATH TO CITIZENSHIP THREW A EXECUTIVE ORDER!!! ONLY CONGRESS CAN GRANT GREEN CARDS AND PATH TO CITIZENSHIP! STOP BLAMING THE PRESIDENT!, Be greatful that you even have DACA. The president is doing everything he can within his power.
