  1. It sounds like it was an error from USCIS to update your case when it wasn't ready.
  2. Wait, but did you get your approval letters before it changed to intial review again? And did you ever get your EAD Card?
  3. It starts after biometrics submitted, and ONLY working days count, some people have been counting them wrong and think they passed their 90 day mark, so if you did your bios on late september, your 90 day mark should be around late january, for example, mine is on February 15 till I reach 90 working days since biometrics submitted.
  4. Post funny images!

To all the people who are "patiently" waiting
  5. Florida applicants---- timeline?

  6. Social Networks

Yep, Instagram here but fairly new: Instagram: EnJR_ PS: Cant delete this post but I'm no longer using it anymore
  7. That's a nice proposition, though you would have to ask for an advanced parole and get it as for work purposes, like many others have said, ask a lawyer and best of lucks.

  9. why? why? why...

"Did Biometrics on - 10/11 (no walk-in)" That's the reason why, Vermont is taking long, some people who did their Bios back in Sept. are still waiting, so hang in there, you'll soon receive news from USCIS.
  10. You can get a job that requires you to travel outside the US with DACA, remember you can ask for an advance parole, as long as your employer writes a letter specifying it's for work purposes the need of traveling abroad, then you're set.
  11. I'm sorry USCIS but you're not fair. Start working by dates and stop skipping people. #PissedOff

Fresita22, it depends on so many things, could be how well supported is your case, common name, officer, service center

  12. Rejection.

Ohh I see, your package was rejected but not denied, that's why they're giving you the second chance, there was an error on the application form. Well, this time you should make sure everything is right before sending the application again, about the signature problem, i have no idea on what to tell you. Good luck to you!
  13. waiting too long?

Call them to see what they say, worst that can happen, they telling you to keep waiting

  16. Hello All :)

Welcome! Hope everything goes great with his application. Sure you'll find helpful information on this site.
  17. Personally, I don't think it helps. I did a walk in on oct. 5th and I'm still waiting, some people who did their bios on their appt date are approved already but some others who did a walk in have also been approved. Like some other people have said, it might depend on the service center and/or their way of reviewing the case.
  18. calling uscis

Honestly, to all the people that are waiting just like me, you all need to be patient, i know it sucks, but your case will eventually go through, some might be faster than others but at the end they're all gonna be reviewed and fortunately approved. I agree you should call after 90 days, but be patient, don't rush it. I've been waiting for 59 days including weekends and 41 week days and still haven't heard anything yet, some have been waiting for around 90 days and more. I do get anxious and desperate sometimes but that will not help but just to put me in a bad mood. So just give it a break and just don't think about it, it's hard to do so but if you manage to forget you're waiting on this decision, days are gonna pass by so fast and you'll get approved before you even know it.
  19. Hoping next week will be it.

  20. Explanations please :(

There are three types of Social Security Numbers, I'm quoting them from the website I found: 1. "The first type is the basic one known to hundreds of millions of people. It gives your name and Social Security number and allows work without restriction. This card is issued to U.S. citizens and to noncitizens to whom the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which oversees immigration, has given permission to live and work in the United States permanently. These include green-card holders as well as refugees and people granted political asylum." 2. "The second type of card carries the words "valid for work only with DHS authorization." It's issued to people who have permission to live and work here only for temporary periods." 3. "The third type has the words "not valid for employment." This type is issued to noncitizens who don't have work permission but need a Social Security number for other reasons, such as to apply for government benefits or services." So getting back to your question, yes, you need your physical card (EAD) along with your SSN.
  21. Job Searching and more...

Hi Marlivil, in my opinion: 1. Yes, you don't necessarily have to say that you worked without a work permit. You're just listing them because of the experience you gained from them. 2. Just tell the truth, say that you were unable to find another job during that period of time, again, you don't have to necessarily say that you did not have a work permit. 3. The future employer will know your EAD will expire in 2 years because they will ask you for your EAD and they will see it's gonna be valid for 2 years only but remember it can be renewed. I asked this before at Chase (I asked the requirements to work at a bank) and the manager told me that if i have a work permit and it has to be renewed every certain amount of time, i just have to notify the bank before my EAD expires and that I will have to provide them the new EAD to keep working with them.
  22. You're very much welcome ma'am, I'm glad I could help you cheer up a little bit and not only you, but whoever feels the same way.
  23. Can't agree more, lately I've been a little anxious and some days i will just randomly get in a terribly bad mood. All I can say and maybe you're getting bored of hearing the same thing (just like me) is to be patient, don't stress it out and let things flow as it should, been impatient and anxious won't do anything but harm ourselves. Hopefully the day will come, as others may have said, we have been waiting for years and years for a moment like this one and maybe months or days or even hours away (for some) won't hurt, let's be positive and just think about all the good things that will come with it but as for now, enjoy what you have right now, even if you have plenty of free time, enjoy it, cause maybe after you get approved you won't have much free time ever again. Best of luck to you and everyone else who's waiting for their approval, and for those who are just getting started with the process, you have a long way to go but this is just a kick start to all the dreams you once had and were taken away when you realized your legal situation. It's now the time for us to act, to take the chance and the opportunity this country has given us and show them how much we want to contribute to what most of us call this home. Once again, just be patient, i know it's hard, but let things flow as it should.
  24. Question after biometrics...?

carlos0003 it really depends on the officer taking your case and service center you sent it to, also taking into consideration a lot more people are applying to DACA so it will eventually slow down the process comparing it to the people who applied in August/September or even October. Hopefully your case will be processed fast enough for you to do so by that date. Best of lucks to you
