  1. SSN after 2 years..

Hey, did they give you a paper with a reference number and also saying something about how the verification may take like 4 weeks, or did the office tell you that your number was going to be created that day and you would receive the card in like two weeks? Thanks, in advance.
  2. DACA Process from START to FINISH

Do we go apply for the social security number at one of the offices once we receive the EAD? Or does it come automatically in the mail? http://www.socialsec...rred_action.pdf Thanks Edit: Never mind I found the guide and my question was answered by step 16. http://forum.adreamact.com/topic/174-full-deferred-action-instructions/
  3. How to Build Credit Once You Have A SSN

With the ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) you are able to obtain a credit card (and I believe build credit). My question would be how does your current credit score transition to when you obtain your social security number? Like, do you just start over? Or is there some sort of transfer? Also, maybe off topic, but once obtaining your social security number, should one go to the bank and replace the ITIN with the newly obtained social security number? For that matter, should one go to other places, such as ones college/university and register his/her social security? Do we just say that we obtained our number recently through USCIS and would like to register it? Going along with that, how about if one uses a fake social security number at their current job. Should they just keep things as is? One last thing, how should we handle filing taxes? Do we go about it like one normally would (by "normally" I mean like if we had legal status)? This just came to mind because there's a lingering thought in the back of my mind about how maybe in the future persons who qualified for DACA may be 'evaluated' based on how well they utilized their two year EAD. Any answers/thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
  4. Check Your DACA Case Status

Wait, is it 2 or 3 capital letters at the beginning?
  5. Check Your DACA Case Status

So I called, and they said my case was in the system and that everything was going smoothly. However, a "computer glitch" apparently does not allow me to see my case according to the supervisor. He said don't worry about it. Just a heads up to anyone who might also be having trouble. Though should I accept a "computer glitch" as the reason to why my case is not being displayed in the automated system, or should I call back again and ask for more information? Thank you in advance.
  6. DACA Process from START to FINISH

Given that the person in the application example that got approved went into his biometrics appointment two weeks early and got his final approval so early, would it be safe to assume that going in early (doing like a walk-in to the biometrics) is a good idea? Or should one just wait at let the process go through as USCIS designates? The only reason I would think to do this is maybe USCIS might get flooded with people going into their biometrics when they're not supposed to. This could, I guess, lead to trouble. One last thing, what picture does that permanent resident card display? Like the one the person took at the biometrics, or is it one that everyone should have sent in with their original application? It's just that I did not send the pictures in. Thanks for your help, in advance.
  7. Check Your DACA Case Status

Yeah, I was thinking that too in the beginning, but I already did the biometrics appointment this past Wednesday. I would think by then that my file would be in the system. Maybe not though. It might be a few more days, like you said
  8. Check Your DACA Case Status

Hi, So I remember trying this out like the first day I got my official receipt number, but when I type it in all I get is "Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283." I even made an account and tried adding the case number. Is there any steps you have to take to actually view information on your particular receipt number? I'll probably just call that number tomorrow and see what they can tell me.
