Have Any Of You Been Or Know Of Someone Who Got Their Application Denied??
roadrunner11 replied to Jasmine2013's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Jasmine I don't think we have had anyone post about being denied on this forum. Most of the applications that are taking a while seem to be getting RFEs and such. Things like common names, amount of evidence, the service center and the agent working on your case affect the time for decision making. Hopefully you hear back soon!- 8 replies

I say you guys all have a good time and enjoy life a little. 2012 DACA gave us all hope and something to look forward to. Don't let impatience ruin what you do have in life.
-
Candy I am guessing the letter will be getting to your mailbox this week. I hope everything works out for you. I would start gathering evidence for all five years to be safe but do not worry I too much because I have seen people get RFEs and still be approved after they send their additional evidence.

Dreamer what kind of job did you get?? I am sorry your post turned into a mess and I am sure you were excited to share news about your job with us. I just finished a 2 week orientation at my job too and I am looking forward to my paycheck soon

I agree with PSWA. If you can prove you entered the US before you were 16 and have pretty solid evidence of you being present since 2007-Now you have a really good chance of getting accepted. On the other hand, sending lots of evidence seems to help as well because you are less likely to get an RFE.

Congratulations

Glad to see some constructiveness and positivity around. Keep it up guys!! This is why we can find some comfort here. Because even thought this process can push our patience and poise to the limit we all agree this will open doors and expand our perspective on life. So worth the wait. Great to see people giving a hand to those who feel down once in a while.

Bahahaha Rawf. Seriously go get your finger prints taken and get a police report. haha

If you have spotify you should try the Mumford and Sons and The Killers stations. It never fails me. I am also into the same bands.

Rawf this is really really cool Congratulations to you and all the Dreamers who feel as grateful for the accomplishments and blessings during 2012. My year in a nutshell - First it all started with me finishing physical therapy for a crazy surgery I had last year. I was 90% back in strength by October and cleared to keep running and most exciting for me racing long distance. I ran a half marathon and it felt so good to finish without knee pain. I was promoted at the job I had as the marketing director and was also given a chance to learn how to make wine Probably the coolest thing I have ever been taught. After years of struggling with my inability to work and use my degree DACA was granted and I was approved fairly fast. A month later I found the job of my dreams at a local hospital and now I am getting ready to put together an education plan for the hospital to finance some of my grad school. Hopefully in a few years I will be Roadrunner MD Wish you all the BEST in everything you do. Keep up the Dreaming spirit and never forget why we deserve this chance. Life was not always easy and I have to admit there were times when I felt so sad because of my status I considered packing my bags and go back to my country where medical training is free. If my mom wouldn't have forced me to stay after graduating college I would have missed this chance.

If anybody is planning to apply for Advance Parole
roadrunner11 replied to ツ alejandriiukz ㋡'s topic in Dream Lounge
Thanks for posting this Ale. Rawf I also agree with that. I haven't seen one of my siblings in almost 9 years and having to wait until something serious happens just makes it almost not worth it. -
http://forum.adreamact.com/topic/981-job-searching/ Take a look at the link above. I posted a few tips/hints on how applying in person and online might work. From personal experience, I noticed most good companies take the online route these days. I would think about where I want to work and go on the company website. Hope it helps.

Doing your taxes if you're DACA approved
roadrunner11 replied to itzel's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
I did Single 1 this year too Rawf; otherwise, they take away so much if you put a 0. I do have expenses because I am not a dependant anymore, hopefully I don't end up paying money. Thanks Itzel! This was very helpful. -
I am sorry I had to leave a job also once. I hope things come through for you. Best wishes.
