nah, it's as though one has done a service request.... i received letter explaining the supposedly reason why its taking so long. In other words they told me to keep waiting while their try to do their best....thats all...

i did both, service request and infopass. Infopass; must bring ID, your country passport, prepare yourself what you are gonna be asking, dress properly and just ask normal and confident like any other civilian looking for information. Oh dont wear too much jewel, or any metal. The security is very strict getting into immigration building. it's like going into an international airport...Nothing out of the ordinary. Sometimes our fears are greater than the actual events we face in life. I am not gonna lie to you i was really nervous... Good luck!!

Dont have the letter w me rite now, but it basically says that thwy are working so hard on the workload of application and the reason they haven't granted the work permit is because defere actions hasn't been approved yet.....

Nop, this week Thursday will b three weeks since i did a a service request and two weeks since i got a letter just telling to continue waiting...

Hope service request does something more than just finding out the delay of of ur case, hope it also speed it up. As of today its 15 days since service request, and the 20th of march it'll be six months of waiting....:/

Do it both!! I did both, well i think i did both. I went to the info pass appointment, talked to an officer and got no new answers...same. Well, he told me to wait some answers sometime this week explaining the status of the case...let's just wait!

I did too. I set up a service request on the phone and went to an info pass appointment, quite an experience btw. Hope to hear from.them soon. This giy at the window told me id hear some response today, March 5th, nada yet....

@jose and tamaro, i called uscis today. I told them i was concern with the long waiting status of my case. They said they were gonna do s service request which apparently is just send an email to the department holding my case. By doing that ill have to wait about two three weeks for the service request response. Whereas infopass happens to be that one personally goes to the closest immigration office for answers..in other words ill be doing both; service request and the info pass tomorrow.....
