USCIS does say that this is a pilot program. You do have to sign up specifically to receive texts and emails. That may be why some people are not getting them

I got one about my EAD today at 5:30pm and 2 about 1821D at 10:15pm and 10:30pm today Central Time

I think that it can be both positive and a negative because on one hand employers want experience and do not want to have to train someone but on the other hand, they do want someone that they can mold. Try to include everything that you have ever done that may fit the description of the job that you want all on one page. service at church, volunteers, projects at school, community events. you will be surprised to discover the skills you have. in fact, use this as a time to self-reflect and set goals.

So true. A lot of young people are allowing in fear to hold them back. but they don't realize that it is faith that got us this far, and the persistence of so many people who are advocating on our behalf is why we're here today. I used to be so jealous of my bro and friends because they were born with a gold spoon in their mouths but now i and many like me have a chance. We have homework 4 times as hard, dare to dream and make that dream our reality. Be leaders but follow the right path, strive for excellent and nothing less.

True! I hear arguments for both sides. A close family friend of mine bashed me because I did not tell my best friend in high school during our senior year. we had planned to attend the same college but I could not attend due to my situation. A few friends also confronted me about it in high school when we were applying for college and I denied it. Personally, I think it should be up to the individual to share what they want. It's not like people go around sharing with every and anybody that they are insecure about x,y,z or that they were seriously hurt by someone in their lives, or that they were abandoned by their parents, for example. Not that immigration is like these issues but it could be. There are people who do not want to talk about their immigration issue because something terrible happened to them in their country. Anyways, only 1 friend know the true depth of my problem and another friend kinda know. My boyfriend does not know tho I suspect he is suspish lol. He will know when we get to that level and my ex's don't know although one may have an idea lol. My life is so mysterious

Couldn't say it better myself. You can put the airport that you came through. This is also a toughie for those who came of false documents i.e with someone else's name and/or documents. In this case, you would simply put admitted. At least this is what a lot of attorneys are doing at the firm where I intern

Hey Itzel, So I decided to join the forum today based on your text post. I've been going insane checking my phone and case status everyday and finally today, I received that blessed text lol. I got a text msg today at 5:30pm CT telling me to check my EAD status. Lo and behold they are making my card. No emails, however although I signed up for that too. Anyways, my questions is how long after you received the text that you get the card? My DACA still says pending and according the immigration seminars that I attended (ironically, I intern at an immigration law firm, yikes!) The i-821D is approved before the i-765. Thanks for any advice
