I'd like to add witchcraft - I have heard similar stories from people that were actually attacked by witches in farming towns back in Colombia or even here in the US...do not discard witchcraft...voodoo and santeria are done constantly here in Miami, and witchcraft is prevalent in latin america. Just thought I could share this... http://www.womenofgrace.com/blog/?p=11830 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2119045/Two-human-fetuses-used-voodoo-ritual-luggage-Miami-airport.html

JD - please provide us with more detail regarding your situation. Basically, how did you get here (date), have you moved around, etc...Also, let us know what you sent to USCIS so we can do a better assessment of your situation. That way, if someone had a similar experience to you, can actually share what they did and help you determine your next step. I, personally, would like to see more details in this post regarding your situation. Feel free to omit any stuff that you don't want to share, but please include detailed information regarding your application process, etc.

We Transferred Your I821D, Consideration Of Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals, To Your Local Uscis Office For Further Processing
Santi replied to phoenixbird's topic in General Discussions
How can it be a bad thing? they can't take any action against you... If you are calling, call both the national hotline, as well as the local satellite office in the Hammocks...you'll be alright - at least they are making progress and moving things along! you better like my comments! -

Creeper! I think your request is being processed at Sw 147th ave and 120th... Swing by whenever you have a chance and talk to someone - or call. If I were you, I would show up and DEMAND an explanation! -
Hey JD - If I understand correctly, USCIS wants you to prove that you have no previous record, and if you did, that it was lost or disappeared for whatever reason. Also, they want to see that the request was made through your local government (a court), and that it was notarized, signed and sealed. (If I am mistaken, please feel free to add info as you see fit). If I were in your position, I would get a background check from the county courts were you have lived (if more than one place). The cost is somewhere around $20 per background check- could be less, depending on the amount of information that is provided. Do not rush it...take your time. That way, you can avoid making silly mistakes that can prolong the process of acquiring the information before you send it to USCIS for further review. You should have a window of about 2-3 months to submit your RFE, so be patient. Before you send your stuff, I would strongly advise you to get a second opinion from a qualified individual (read - attorney). Yes, the small consultation can put a dent in your finances, but look at it as an investment in your future. It is better to spend some money now and feel confident that you will get the approval, than putting together an incomplete package and being denied DACA (which is somewhat unlikely, if you put yourself in the presence of God). Hope this helps, and in no way am I qualified to give you legal advice - I just had a similar experience, and I had the luck of finding my information, so I could put together the package myself and ensure my approval. I wish you success and keep us posted!

I got hit with an RFE and was approved recently. I suggest that you guys pay attention to what USCIS is requesting of your husband, and to provide exactly what it is they want. Be very meticulous, and make sure that everything is complete. Do not rush it, since you have a reasonable window of time to submit the evidence. Very important: With your evidence package, submit the letter that they sent your husband in the mail, in the envelope that they include with the letter. That expedites the process, and avoids them having to research your husband's info. Follow the instructions to the 'T,' and your husband should have a acceptance notice in about 3 - 4 weeks after the submission of the RFE.

This guy did - and was eventually approved...so it is just a matter of time... So, hang in there!

Nebraska... Made me wait like 6 months! But I guess every case is different...and I got hit with an RFE, so that added another month to the wait

Where Do You See Yourself 5 Years From Now?
Santi replied to Blazinknight23's topic in General Discussions
Ok - Five years from now, I'd be 32, and I would like to have accomplished the following: Finished my MBA from my top choice school Getting my dream job as an associate in a major investment bank in New York On the road to being promoted to VP of Natural Resources/Energy Team Found the girl of my life and working to get child #1 of ~10! Well traveled and seasoned Not having to worry about my legal status That's about it for my 5 year plan... Basically, feel like this: -

Good/bad Idea To Highlight Dates On Evidence?
Santi replied to Cynthia_Penuelas's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
^^^^ This +1 I also highlighted the dates on the evidence, not the forms. Hope it helps and much success in your app -
It would be fair to categorize our situation as a 'First World Problem.'
