Help With Deportation Threat During Daca Process..
Santi replied to pretty_sharay's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
I would wait until I receive Deferred Action in order to consider litigation...but that is just me, perhaps someone else has had a similar experience/knows someone that had a similar experience and might shed some light into the matter... In regards to deportation, don't worry...They can't come to your house and take you, just because...they have to have a reason to do so (traffic infraction, domestic violence, felony, etc etc)...therefore, don't worry too much about it, but stay under the radar and avoid any situations where you could expose yourself and your 'freedom.' BTW - I really like your profile pic! - you look Sexy! lol -
Awesome! Wish you success! Now, Biometrics and then...the wait!

Although these interviews happen, IMO they are not very common (first time I hear about this)...no need to worry... Like @weirdestperson said, collect your thoughts and the documents needed, take additional evidence, make sure you present yourself in professional attire and show the respect they deserve, be confident, and also ask how much longer...don't show them that you are nervous, because nervousness is a sign of weakness...look them straight in the eye, 'yes sir/ma'am, no sir/ma'am,' and everything will work out... At least you will be able to shed some light into the interview process, and you will be able to share it here for everyone to see... Also, prepare yourself...luck is for the unprepared...success is for the people that are prepared...and 'guerra avisada no mata soldado (forwarned war does not kill soldiers)'

Well - To be honest with you, many dreamers that get approved still have to keep waiting for other stuff, like landing a job (this guy)... Well, by now, we should be masters at the waiting game, so what is ~10 days if you will be good to go after you receive your SSN (it usually takes less than 4 weeks). So hang in there, you are almost there LOL (that statement is staple this time around)

True Dat! I starting looking for work online and then I networked as well... Indeed, Monster, LinkedIn, etc Checked with my friends to see if they knew somebody anywhere... Was referred to Job Hunters and sent my resume to three of them...met with one, and got an Temp-to-hire position at a great company...starting May 1st I also use my School's Career Management Services Website to look for new opportunities: I have applied to 6 already, and I am confident I will get interviews in May... Meanwhile, I just sit at home, read the FT, and watch CNBC...err day err day err day err day err day err day err day err day...started from the bottom and all that jazz...

I did not receive any notice either... I was never able to check my status during the waiting period...I called many times, like many, and received the same answer over and over again... Then, I got hit with an RFE, and after they received it, I checked the status and I was approved for both DACA and EAD...

Yes, they looked up 'Calidreamer' + New SSN, asked you questions to verify if you were the same person with OLD SSN and credit history (which you verified with answers to the questions), and came up with your current credit history... But, if I were you, I would cut my ties to my old SSN as soon as possible, even if it means starting credit relationships all over again... Remember, we will have to be 'clean' once CIR passes, therefore, you wouldn't want anything to come back and bite you in your shiny, metal ass Believe, you, me...the Government digs up dirt and skeletons on people when they want to...I can attest to that...I had something that came back and bit me in the ass...but hey, each one makes a bomb out of their butt... Just my opinion, and what I would do...you manage your life, and take risks as you see fit...but ask yourself 'is it worth it in the long term?'...@weirdestpersonaccordingtofreudwhichwouldnotevengetinyourheadforfearofbeinginfectedhimself...

Best Credit Cards To Apply For After Daca
Santi replied to dreamerinnc's topic in Life After Deferred Action
Since you will be using a new SSN, your best bet is a secured CC with any bank - ask for a credit facility with your current bank, or talk to a personal banker...they may be able to help you out -
...and I almost love you sooo much Colombianita

I did not receive anything...No email, nor text... I just checked my status one day (after not being able to for many, many months), and it just said, application approved and card into production...
-
Once again... My work here is done...

Don't over think it - When gathering the information for an RFE, let alone the application, one has to be calm and collected. One has to pay attention to detail, double checking everything carefully. If this is done, the chances of approval are very high... Therefore, don't stress yourself...the stress is only psychological...just live your life as you had been living it, even before knowing you where eligible for DACA...this will make your life much more easier to manage, avoiding any unnecessary stress - this is very, VERY important... The approval comes when you least expect it...they won't say 'hey, we are going to approve you next week, or tomorrow...' They just approve you and move on... So, cojelo con take it easy, relax, and breathe...

You'll be approved sooner than later... Just keep trading those churros and make that money Betty!
-
Nice to know! Just a couple of FL kids, messing around, sharing some sunshine lol
-
Even if I have to wait, I will get where I want to go...Only God can stop me...
-
Oh C'mon! At least have fun while you wait... We can trade likes...if you win, I like 5 of your comments...if you lose, you like 5 of my comments (or whatever is allowed)...Maybe I'll be scrutinized by regulators LOL BTW - Nebraska is churning out approvals...they are moving quick - compared to other SC's
-
My guess is Vermont SC...a significant number, if not the majority of Dreamers in FL had their application sent to Vermont...at one time, I felt like I was the only one at Nebraska... Hopefully, Jeff will share what Service Center processed his application... I got $5 bucks on Vermont, with a high probability of a transfer to Nebraska...who wants to trade assumptions with me? Anyone?

Best wishes 66354! Hopefully, your package will be reviewed quickly and you won't be faced with any hurdles! Get ready for the waiting game!

Welcome to the Forum JJKay - I was looking around and could not find and Official Texas Service Center Approval thread... However, click here, and you will be able to find the people that were approved recently, whose applications were handled in Texas... Hope it helps! If you have any other questions, look around to see if you find your answer, use the chat, or create a new thread...many of us will be glad to answer to the best of our knowledge...

Why 31? Why not 30 or 29? February had 28 days, therefore, the average of August until March would be ~30.34, which would yield about a little over 5 months... I am just a numbers geek...
