So I have been APPROVED! I NEVER received a text message! But I did receive an EMAIL! Of the early yesterday morning of November 30th, I received an email from uscis. Today, the first of December was the day I viewed the emails haha. The email read as this: Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION This was sent at 9:30 a.m 11/30 Application Type: I821D , Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals This was sent at 11:30 a.m 11/30 Feeling: With school finals coming up, I stopped focusing on my case. I used to come to this forum everyday, hoping and wishing my anxiousness would be healed by the constant good news of the associated members. But GOSH! That helped for so long. Even though your happy for others, you do not really feel jealous or upset, but begin to get a little more anxious and worried for your case. So after letting go, USCIS contacted me of my change of statues. I do not know how to feel. I never been the girl that ever won anything, so it's a new feeling. Like I am still in disbelief. Seriously It took me a whole day to muster up feelings of happiness! So my point of this topic is not to rant on about myself being approved, but too let those others that have still been in the "initial review" and been waiting, in what they would consider a "longer time" that I UNDERSTAND. ITS EMOTIONAL AND STRESSFUL. IM WITH U. BUT YOU HAVE TO LET GO AND LET GOD TAKE CONTROL.

So Obama won tonight! That is good news to not only Democrats but to us who are part of the Deferred action, who also would likely support Obama.. I heard one of my peers say something along these lines. "N*gg* is excited [that Obama won] so he won't have to get deported" And we all cracked up!!! Do you believe now that Obama will pass the DReam Act? In addition, 65% of Americans have voted that illigal immgrants should attain status. What is your opinion? Thoughts?

Now the real question is, once you get your EAD, drivers liscense, SSN and state ID, will you then tell certain people in your life about your legal status or eveyone that have ever been curious or bothered you about it. Would you just let the conversation happen on its own or would you play it off, like I would.

HOLA-Hello! So I continue to hear a lot of people speaking about getting text updates about their cases. And within my head, I am like, "egh" what are they talking about?/? For over the last month, I have been using the uscis website to log in and gauge at my case. So my question is how do I sign up for the text update or is it tooo late....Ayudame por favor*

I went to the DMV to renew my last name in Texas. I showed them my wedding license just for them to tell me I need a second verification from immigration and to come back within 2 weeks. I needed to do a physical, and used my license and the doctor told me my license expired. I looked closely and it said it was issued from sept 2016 to onto 2016. This is incorrect. My license has always been 2 years based on immigration. Did they make a mistake? and did that the cause to why i can't renew last name?

So after going back and forth to the TEXAS DMV, to make an appointment for my permit test, they informed me that I must do an adult driver education and safety course, online preferably. This is a must for all 18 through 24 year olds! But I'm still confused. A while back before DACA was even out the shadows, Homeland security confiscated my passport. Saying that once my legal statues was determined, then I will be able to request for my passport. I went back to the same building almost 2 months ago, and they said they dont have it. WHAT DO I DO??? ps. I need my passport so I can use it to get SS this coming week.

I was about to say, how is that possible?! Well due to that situation, you should be able to walk In and show them your appointment date and I'm sure They would be aware of the recent weather. But you should not have waited! Wait for what! Get back in! Hurry your wasting your approval time! Lol
