I'm still waiting to get approved as many of us are. Once approved and with a social security # will we be able to apply for school loans? The deferred action is valid only for 2 years with chance of renewal but was wondering if we will be able to qualify for loans. Does anybody have any input on this?

I didn't sign up either. Got my letter of acknowlegment a few days ago. I suppose since i got my permit not long ago it did it automatically. Either way happy it happened since wasnt aware it was mandatory even if you are undocumented.

When i went they told me USCIS had to update the information on the system and was going to take from 4-8 weeks. I received it in a week. I been hearing a lot of people being told it will take longer than usual and end up getting it withing a week as well.

Has Anyone Been Interviewed For Daca...i Was Sent A Letter For That
LG718 replied to naye9606's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
If you have all your evidence in order then you shouldn't have any problem. Take everything to the interview and any additional evidence you can find. Maybe they will ask you things like...What your plans are if you get approved? or things about when you graduated?, what school you went to?. They must just want to verify everything u sent Try not to panic. Wish you luck. Keep us updated. -

Best Credit Cards To Apply For After Daca
LG718 replied to dreamerinnc's topic in Life After Deferred Action
When i applied for the SSN the lady helping me said i had to use the name exactly as it appeared on the EAC for all paper work. That i would be able to drop the second last name once i went for a permanent resident card and if so i would have to make changes to the SSN later on. Since school i have always used only one last name. Maybe is just for government paper work. Not sure if its for credit card applications as well. -
