Mine was transferred as well, and a month later I got an EAD and a week later I got approved. I guess it means they will be working on your case pretty soon, but probably not this month, but you are closer to an approval now.

Anyone Been Stopped By The Police For Driving W/out License?
Gezinha replied to Afrosana's topic in General Discussions
I am from MA. I got pulled over twice. One time, my cousin was with me and had a license and she drove the rest of the way, that was a court appearence and $100 fee. Second time the guy just let me go but gave me a $500 fee. Which I did not pay, I got my uncle who is a cop to dispute it, it was absurd, so, he did, and the cop didn't show up, so we just paid $100 for that one as well. But no one ever gets in serious trouble if they get pulled over, unless you have a rep sheet and then you might have to go to jail for a night. -
Oh yea! Uhum! I got my license oh yea, oh yeah! (Crazy chicken dancing in my kitchen!)

Congraaaaaats!!!! Yay..finally. Wow, soon enough, some people are going to be waiting a whole year! Good thing most of us all here in the forum sent our stuff before the end of last year.

Do you have an ebay account? Or paypal? I sent that and they accepted it. Emails as well, they accepted emails from 2009 for my RFE.

That is easy enough for anyone to acquire if they have the right connections. My husband's boss offered to write him a letter to say he was working since he was 16 for him, that is why he wans't in school when he was supposed to be. And also, pay stubs with your name on it from different dates to prove you were here when 16 are not hard to get if you are paid using a 1099. And since USCIS doesn't even call to check, that is a piece of cake. I wonder if anyone has tried to do it and actually got approved.

Many cases haven't been even put in the system yet, don't worry they just have way too many cases right now. And to be completely realistic with you, they only touch your file a week before they are about to approve you, or put into the database for a criminal record search. If you sent your app in Feb, you can expect an approval in October depending on where you sent your stuff. I am not trying to be discouraging, it is just how it is looking right now. You will be approved, but with the crazy amount of people approving now, it is hard for them to be upoading things all the time they get a new case.

Did your lawyers advise you to apply, or did you do it by yourself? If you are cooperating and your case is denied, there are always your lawyers taht you can go to in order to provide proof of your cooperation and school achievements and such. But remains the question...who told you to apply? Or did you do it on your own?

I'm New And Need Help Please...
Gezinha replied to karina_26's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Yeah, Jose is right. And also, there is a massive volume of applications, even from August that are still not approved. And with the new ones coming in, it might be a monht, maybe, if you can get anything on your case. But it will come, one of these days you will see, it is just taking them longer to put everything thru these days. -
Oh Santi, I wish I could be like you, but everthing around me just makes me so damn mad. I am a constant exclamation point haha
-
Yes someoone mentioned one time that the administration wasn't able to give them a ssn because the work authorization was so new. This was a while ago and I don't temember who. I applied on a Monday and went back on a Thursday to get the number, not the card, the card arrived in the mail a few days later. But you can go back to the office 2 days later ad ask for your number if you don't want to wait any longer.
-
With the massive volume of applications they have to go through and all that, I am sure it is just taking a few days to update your status to you. Maybe on Monday they might do it.

Ebay and paypal will work, that is what I sent when they requested evidence from me.

I just want to say first of all that it is horrible how the older brother died, and they even posted a picture of his dead body on Reddit. I was horrified. No one deserves that, his family doesn't deserve it, he has a child, and she will see that someday, because everyone knows, once it is on the net, it never goes away. I do not know why they did it, how this came about, but it has been reported they both travelled to their home country for 6 months and came back a little different, so, it is speculation what happened in those 6 months. I think they were brainwashed, c'mon, how does a pre med student in America suddenly turn violent and blows up people? It does not make sense. How does a great boxer just wake up one day and plants a bomb in a crowd? It just doesn't add up. I am not saying they didn't do it, or shouldn't feel the full weight of the law fall on them, but it sure as shit doesn't seem like any other terrorist case I've seen. And I say them, because even tho one of them was tragically killed, it does not change what despicable act he allegedly commited. I just feel apalled by how much my fellow Bostonians are rejoycing over this tragic death. I am happy that they caught the younger brother and that he is alive to answer for what he did, and maybe even help us bring down worse terrorist organizations, who knows? I logged into msnbc this morning and they had pictures of the older brother at the gym, when he was boxing, and some morons were asking to see pictures of him dead, shot in the head, his limp body, how sick is that? These people are acting no better than the ones they call terrorists themselves. As an individual, I find it shameful to want death to someone else as justice, as a human being, it should be against out nature to wish death upon another fellow human. I am so sorry for the victimis, people who will never walk normally again, never have a normal life, and the ones who lost their loved ones may never recover. They know exactly what it feels like to be lost, vulnerable, just like the families of the ones who did this. I guess we will have to wait for the boy to wake up and tell the world what happened, why do this, but no matter what explanation he gives, if he gives ones, the world has already decided his faith, and that is also a tragedy. Some people get brainwashed into doing things by extremist countries, and religion, and I am definitely not saying that they should be given a pass because they were acting crazy because someone made them do it, no,but the hate that this country has against the Muslims, Arabs and all that they are not familiar with, fuels this war. This is just an opinion, I am not defending the alleged bombers, I just think that hate spewes hate, and there has been enough death, and it is clear that the attempts to bombard American citizens or citizens of anywhere else has done nothing good too the world. I see no logic in this. Please, let's stop this as respect for the victimis of hate, bombs, animosity and fear everywhere in the world!

Senator Says Boston Attack Should Factor In Immigration Debate !!!!!!
Gezinha replied to Tonatiuh's topic in Dream Act News
Yes!!! I agree, and have to stick together and kep together always, and we will remain strong as a group and as Dreamers! -
You can never have too much proof. I am glad I did not get a lawyer, cause I have seen some bad stories here, people are not as informed about their cases if they get a lawyer, of course, depending on the lawyer. But if you did everything correctly, you do not need to worry, you will be approved soon. You will see that you are worrying for nothing, just relax and be confident that you made the right choices.

Senator Says Boston Attack Should Factor In Immigration Debate !!!!!!
Gezinha replied to Tonatiuh's topic in Dream Act News
Did you guys hear, like in September last year, this lady in NH, working in a store said she would not accept EBT card from a customer to pay for cigarretts. And the person got pissed and asked for her boss or something, and I think there was police involved and this became news. She told the person that the card was for milk, bread, you know, the obvious, and still this person wanted to pay for cigarretts with it. In the end, the clerk, doing the right thing as an upstanding citizen, got fired! I would sure as shit promote her, no doubt! I mean, the government has to test people for sure before giving away benefits, and fix the EBT system. -

Boston Bombers Of Chechen Ethnicity - The Impact On Cir
Gezinha replied to Santi's topic in General Discussions
I wish I could agree with you Wisedevil, but you know how people are, they will use anything to destroy CIR, they can twist the facts so well for anything in this country, it is like magic. I believe it will pass, but there will be some tweeks, we will definitely not have many rights. As long as my husband and I have a DL, SSN, and a right to come and go see our families, and eventually a green card, I am fine with it. Citizenship will come with time.- 18 replies

Senator Says Boston Attack Should Factor In Immigration Debate !!!!!!
Gezinha replied to Tonatiuh's topic in Dream Act News
I definitely do not have a sense of entitlement. And I hate people who do. I believe if you are a citizen in the greatest nation of this world it is a PRIVILEDGE to be able to work and support yourself and your family. The citizens of this country are known around the world as ignorant, stupid, lazy and arrogant, and that is not true for the vast majority. But getting in line to take advantage of SS benefits just because receiving a $400 check evey week is better than flipping burguers for $300 a week, is shameful for any citizen of any country. In Brazil people work a whole month to receive $600 reais, which equals $300 dollars, and yes it is accordingly to what the price of things are there, but it is the equivalent of people here accepting minimun wage and working just for that. And let me tell you, I personally do not know one signle American citizen who will work for less than $15 bucks/hr here in MA, far less for minimun wage. And that is the main reason why so many American citizens choose to receive welfare and most non documented immigratns always have jobs and do not live off the government. Which boggles my mind because isn't it more shameful to receive money from the government when you are perfectly physically capable of findind a job? It doesn't matter that you find that job demeaning, it is still a job, but no, for some mystifying reason, they would rather stand in line for welfare than to actually stand in line to apply for McD's or BK. They would rather get "free money" for nothing, than far less money than they think they deserve for honest work. Plain and simple, that group of people, to which I personally refer to as "free loaders", are despicable, and they are not the majority of the country, thank God, but what frustrates people like me and Itzel is that we don't have a legal right to work and even go to school in the country where we grew up, and these people take this for granted, and in this situation, it is maddening seeing a chance like this thrown away because it is not something that you can transfer to the next person, an American citizen just wastes it, literally, throws it away for welfare instead of making something of his or herself and going through the rough like us. ( I'm assuming this is how you feel, Itzel, sorry if I am putting your name here and you don't feel like that, please call me on it if that is not how you feel.) There are stereo types and generalizations in every culture and every country, but this is more about the opportunity to take chance to better ourselves, and definitely not to take advantage of the government. And by doing that, and having that chance, we will never have to depend on the government.
