Boston Bombers Of Chechen Ethnicity - The Impact On Cir
Gezinha replied to Santi's topic in General Discussions
I think, if anything this should strengthen the need for reform. Background checks for everyone. And it truly doesn't matter what nationality you are from, if the U.S. doesn't stop sticking their noses into other countrie's business and making unecessary wars, this will never stop. Middle Easterns among other races and countries hate the U.S. for what they see as good reasons, I am sure that if they were all up in my city bombing the shit out of it in Brazil, I would be pissed too and hate the shit out of them. Some people take it to the extreme and join these terrorist groups and to these things to innocent people thinking that this will stop the war on their countries. Hmm, but it ends up having totally the opposite effect they want. I just wanted to say that, and I am sure some of you agree, and since Clinton left office and that jackass Bush took over, the country has been on a downfall and everyone knows why. But I think the CIR will still pass regardless of this.- 18 replies

It is like dangling carrots in front of Buggs Bunny...Who doesn't want to play pac man? Pac man is awesomeness haha. And this lady, seriously, where are her grandkids to clarify this for her? I feel bad for her, but it is just hard not to roll my eyes as I listened to her call. haha Once again, pac man is awesomeness, no way to deny it!

Were you denied action? Because that is what they deal with, complaints against govt administration and wrongful administration regarding lack of public service interest on the govt's part.

Senate Immigration Proposal Press Conference - In Case You Missed It

*Another thing, I love that guy before the last, that spoke about the SS and how many people are working to back it up, haha. He is very charismatic. That is a dangerous and amazing quality for a politician. -
Senate Immigration Proposal Press Conference - In Case You Missed It
Gezinha replied to Santi's topic in Dream Act News
2.7 trillion? Holy cow...that's a lot of cha-ching! The requirements are not difficult to meet if you have been a good standing member of society, it really isn't. Traffic violations are the only things we should have as Dreamers, us ,people who have been brought up to be in absolutely no trouble with the law due to the familiar consequences, should NOT be involved in any kind of drug, battery, assult or theft related problems. We were brouht up considerably better than that, our latino parents are tougher than many parents around the world, we should know NOT to break the law. This bill will pass, and not everyone will get what they want, like they said, but if you qualify for it, but do not pass a background check due to a crime, then unfortunately, there is no one else to blame but...you know who. Every action has consequences. The fees are fair, no complaints there. The conditions aren't very much, but being here ilegally, again, we can't ask for every single thing American Citizens have by birth right. Other countries wouldn't think twice about deporting any of us. America is compassionate, even though it is not only because they are a country of immigrats as well, but you know, because they need all of us too. And RUBIO.... YOU ASSHOLE...NOT FUNNY!!! Let's secure the border, sure, great idea, but then if it fails, the American public hates us because the government didn't enforce the law years later. And I hope that we only have to wait 6 months to apply, and that they can get shit together at the border and have honest soldier that will stop taking coyote payments to let people through and into the country, they are causing part of the problem. And the December, 2011 cut off...that is not right, this is like another 100,000 people who will be here ilegally, and what about them? Do they expect them to simply pack up and go home? That is leaving dirty laundry, and dirty laundry stinks, and this is gonna come back to bite them in the butt. Just saying... Overall, it is a good bill as it is, but I am sure we will end up with less than what is there. Well, that is some of what I think. -

Any One Else Going On 8 Months?
Gezinha replied to Sidfred02's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Do you have something special going on with your case? Like, did you get a lot of citations for non licensed driving? A letter of deportation? Anythint like that? Because that seems strange that you have been waiting that long. -
oh, you definitely won't know abuout an RFE until they open your file. Trust me, they have not opened your file for anything other than taking the money inside. I got an RFE 5 and a half months after I sent it, that means my file was sitting there for 5 months, no one bothered to check, except to look at my name and my number and put it on the Initial Review thing. It couls still be 8 months and you could get an RFE just because that is when they opened your file to actually do a review of the info you sent. But the good thing is you could get approved at any moment, and if you get an RFE you can just send back the info and you will be approved in less than 2 weeks for sure.

Mine took 6 months exactly, and some other people have been waiting since August or September and the wait time are only getting longer. But you know, wait until next month, it probably won't go over 8 months.

Unauthorized Immigrants May Have To Pay $2,000 To Earn Legal Status
Gezinha replied to Admin's topic in Dream Act News
Exactly. This is the time to prove to those against us, that we can provide for ourselves, money is not the reason we are, and that we are here because we love this country as much as they do.- 19 replies

Well, if they are requesting higher education, that is what we must all have. No taking shortcuts on that one.

Getting Nervous With My Daca Application
Gezinha replied to Jburgos08's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Wow it was pretty fast for her huh? I guess it just really depends on who picks up your case, but don't be alarmed, mine took exactly 6 months. Some people here are going on almost 8 months and no answer.- 20 replies

I took a dental assisting course too, but I definitely didn't think that was good for the law because it was only 6 months long.

I will, I am going to an open house there on the 11th, but I will wait to see if my next job will be steady and something that I will be able to hang on to for at least a couple years. I am planning on school starting on the fall. Winter is always so slow and nothing to do, so I will have my focus on school and work. Thanks guys!

Yeah massbay is about 3 grand every 6 months...depending on what you take and how many credits. It is reasonable, but the criminal justice one is sooo expensive for me, so, I think I will have to go with parallegal. I do not want to get into debt at all, so, a one year course will do for now. I am confused, all I ever wanted to do was be a cop, but after I figured I couldn't I just kinda gave up on everything and anything. So, I don't know yet, I wish I could work with an immigration lawyer if I took this course, so, I could help people at least.
-
Thanks for that Santi. I was planning on enrolling on a Criminal Justice program, but it will cost me over 25 grand, I simply do not have these funds, I barely make that amount of money per year. Maybe when I can find a good job, now that I have a ssn, I will be able to afford. I just hate thiking about getting a loan, I hate oweing $5 to anyone, imagine around $25Gs to a bank. No freaking way. I really hope a certificate of a year or so will do the trick, because the only reason I wanted to do the CJ was to become a cop. I will be too old to entertain these ideas when I finally get a GC and I will probably have a kid, which almost for certain will make me change my mind about the possibility of getting shot on the job. So, I might as well be a paralegal, and that is as close to the police force as I will get. Parellegal program is only a year long, do you think that since it will be taken at a community college (MassBay in MA) it could be considered as "higher education"?

How Long Do I Have To Wait?
Gezinha replied to elsoniador91's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
I had been working under a fake for almost 9 years, an alias as well because my mom told me to do that when i was younger, and i wish i hadn't. But I pretty much looked for places where brazilians, colombians and guatemalans worked because I knew there was a lesser chance of them cheking papers. I know that at 5 GUYS they dont check, do you have that restaurant at where you live? Also, construction work, paiting work, mostly with a single guy that hires people on a "I know someone that works here" basis, you know. How old are you? Are still in school? -
My concern on this matter is that I did not go to college and now that I have been approved to DACA I will. But I will not be able to afford it for another year or so. So, my point is that I will not have completed 2 years of college by the time the law comes out, so would I be eligible? But someone else clarified that this would only be an issue when the 5 years are up, so, if that is the case I will be ok.
-
I wish that the county, first of all, would give DL to all the people in states that apparently are ignorant enough to deny them that, even after DACA. Since this bill is going to pass with alterations or not, because we know it WILL, somehow, they should get this out of the way. Nothing realted to the bill, I know, but I am just saying it is ridiculous to deny people the common right to drive but love to charge them for taxes and everything else with no question, it is just senseless.
-
Is college a condition for this? It is a bit confusing in this format, so, if you did or didn't go to college, what happens?
-
Well, if he didn't get the letter or lost it, you should go to his office and make him call uscis in front of you and explain the situation. Then you will be satisfied that he did all he was capable of doing. Being an attorney, he can do a lot of things a regular citizen can't. He has to do something about this.
