After i sent in my evidence they approved me like 4 working days later...so... at least you know it will be soon. I know..this is bullshit..it is taking over 8 months for some people.

Definitely...anything at all you have. Even if you receive mail at home, advertisement in your name, newspapers, magazines, send them anuthing that has your name address and date. At this point, anything goes.

Do you have an ebay or paypal account? I sent in all my purchase history as proof for '09 and '10.

Yeah, just that year. I got a RFE for '09 and '10 and I havent been approved yet, but I sent it last week. I sent paypal records, ebay records and I found some utility bills for '10. But for '09 it was a really dead year for me, I didn't go to the doctor that year, barely did anything other than work. But I bought a lot of stuff online, I am hoping it is enough. And it better be because a few months back there was a guy who was on the news that he was granted Deferred action after presenting xbox payment records, so, anything is good proof as long as it has your name, address and date, I guess. Thank God, found an electric bill from 2010. I don't think the paypal and ebay accounts are very good proof, I mean, each page doesn't even have my name on it, it could be anyone's account you know. I hope it help, cause i dont remember being to the doctor before 2011 at all. They might not have anything. Damn it.

I got upadted on Monday, I am already expecting to have to call them to know where the info they sent me is. Everytime I see comments here about how they sent stuff and no one ever got it, I guess you should call to see where the stuff is. I know if next Tuesday comes and my info isn't here, I am calling, I am not going to wait 15 days. Call them and ask.

I actually have the ticket from the time the officer stopped me and actually let me drive home, but I didn't want to send if because I didn't have the discharge papers for it. I thought that in court they might've made the papers in my uncle's or my stepdad's name bc the car is under his name. If it is something regarding the ticket, I have it here and I will take it to a court and see if they have anything on it in their files. But I am really thinking they want more proof for 2009 because I onlu sent them my ITIN number sheet from when I received my number that year.

I got my discharge papers from court. I have no stop and shop, cvs, or anything like store cards under my name, my husband always gave me his extras. I got stopped a second time with no license but i didn't go to court, my uncle went because he is a cop, and he explained to them what happened and i was never told to go to court because he paid the ticket and it was cleared up. When i went after the discharge papers for that, they didn't have anything under my name, i went to 3 cities to see if the discharge papers had been misplaced, but nothing popped up. But the one court i did go to, i got the papers and it was clear. I am praying so hard this is about timelines and a date that is missing, or a document, I hope it is nothing about employment. I went to see an immigration lawyer who advised me to not send any paychecks with fake ssn and say i worked cash, and that is what I did. I said I worked cash on a cafetaria, part time job for 5 years. If they need dates I guess I will just pay for the statements with the dates they need. And I sent my marriage certificate and 3 passport that were old with my name and my visa and everything, I can't imagine what it is that they want. Well, I hope it gets here quickly.

I checked today all the documents I sent. I sent stuff from every year, I can't send proof for every single month unless I pay a ridiculous amount for every statement the bank has ever been issued for my account. Hopefully they are requiting something that has to do with my dates and timeline and I can get it easily. I mean, have any RFEs been sent out for anything else other than timelines? I haven't seen anything here, does anyone know?

It was a crazy beurocracy to get statements from Citizens Bank here in MA. The lady on the phone lied to me, and then changed the price, and I ended up asking for 3 or 4 months only of each year, and it still would cost me 120 per each year, it ended up costing almost 1000 for 7 years ...imagine if I had asked for all years and for all months. I just ended up getting what I had for free on the online file and the guy signed a letter for me. I am actually expecting them to ask me for somethng that is already there, they probably lost or overlooked something, I have reviewed everything I sent and I can't see that I have missed any dates or years. I am hoping that it is something regarding dates, if not, hopefully nothing serious.

Citizens Bank in Massachusstts. It was an old friend who works there who signed for me. I didn't ask though, bc I had no idea he could do it, he was the one who offered bc he said he had other peope come in and ask for a signature for the process as well. And I sent the statements I had for the last 18 months that I had online for free. Like I said, I dont know if this is the issue, I am yet to receive my RFE letter, I just got the email this afternoon. So, I don't know if the letter was the problem. I will keep everyone posted bc if this was the problem, then people will know not to send the same thing and have their process delayed.

I hope you don't get an RFE too. 6 months is a long time for files to be sitting there and not be looked at. and I hope this rfe doesnt have anything to do with my dates bc for that, I sent a signed statement from the bank manager saying that i have had an account for more than 7 years at the same bank. I tried to get individual statements, but the bank was chaging me 30 for each one and it was going to come out more than 2 grand and I definitely could not pay that, so the manager offered to sign for me, I hope they don't make me get all that stuff.

Yeah, i got this about a month ago, and it doesn't mean anything. It just means that no one opened your file, or mine, or anyone else's who is on Initial Review for that matter, they just put people on Initial Review status to keep people from calling. A background check does not take more than 4 days, so, someone has got about 10 working days with your file to work on it, and THAT IS PLENTY OF DAYS TO CHECK INFO if you are really working. In reality our files sit there for 6, 7, 8 months with no one touching them. Files arrive and they only open them to check if all the documents are there and to take the money, of course. That is the reason why people get RFE after 4 months that their files are sitting, there, because no one opens them and really checks anything at all. I am really pissed, I know it might sound selfish, but I have seen people here who sent papers on December and January who already received their papers and on the other hand, some people who sent stuff in August and Semptmber haven't head a damn word and when they call, the people at their offices have the audacity to be rude to them and say THEY HAVE TO WAIT. Screw that! Why not just say "We haven't looked at your file and when we do, we will either send you a RFE (now, 5 months later) or put you in the system so you wait another 2 months". Goddamn it, I am just too pissed at applications who were sent later being approved before the ones sent much, much sooner.

Yup, you are right Rawf, I read that and I forgot. So, even worse for my situation, it would be at least 10 years and I probably wouldn't be accepted into the academy at 36.

Yeah, it would be real nice for them to approve me o January then...oops! That was almost 3 months ago...well..better luck next year I guess! Yay..thanks to all the lazy people who sip lattes all day instead of doing your jobs more efficiently.

Hey there, welcome! Just like you, my dreams of becoming a police officers were put on hold, since you can only be law enforcement if you have a green card. It just crushed me, after I am approved (I hope I will be) I have plans to attend college for a Criminal Justice degree. I had hopes of joining the Army as well, so, college would be paid, and it would be easier to get a job in the field with commendation and discharge. Hmm...but screw that, huh? I didn't choos to be here illegaly either, and as ironic as it sounds for me to want to work for law enforcement while being an illegal, it has been my dream to keep bad guys off the street and good people safe. Now, since 2006 I have simply given up on everything because there is a obstacle in everything us illegals try to do. I know people who went to college without a ssn, without papers, but they had mothers and fathers here, I didn't, my mother could not make the sacrifice of paying for an out of state tuition, and feed 3 people on a house cleaning job. This is so aboslutely frustrating, and Marco, I feel your pain. Life on hold if a misery, and some jobs are just dead ends, they are paying jobs, every job is an honest way to earn a living, but there is so much potential in the illegal children that came here, it is a waste for this country and a waste of our lives.

Great, then why tell people they can do a request in the first place? I means, did they think that when the law came out 200 people would apply only? Jeez, the stupidity of these office worms amazes me.
