  1. DACA Process [Timelines]

Hm, it seems like it is very early for your case to get approved. But who knows, maybe when you called, she saw your case and is working on it. Cali is getting approved way faster than everyone else. Well, but you know, 4-6 months is the wait time. I hope you get approved faster than that.
  2. Help!! Daca Update

Have you checked online? What does it say? Did the blue dot move forward?
  3. I just talked to Phoenix, she said that her stuff was sent to Nebraska as well, and she lives in FL too. She said she got a letter in the mail today.
  4. License With Biometrics???

It is highly unlikely they will be granting anything like that with just the bio papers. When they send you the bio papers in the beginning, it even says on it that it is not proof of acceptance, approval or legal status. I wish they would accept it though.
  5. Is It True?

Hmm, definitely not, if anything, it is over 5 months for sure. Depends on the center your app is at also. Vermont and Nebraska take the longest time. I have seen people who sent applications in August and still no answer. And I believe the wait time is going to be even longer now. I, myself, am going into 4+ months now, and just today my case got routed to the nearest center, which I don't even know what that is or even where it is. But it was taking 2 months for some people in the beginning, but that is when it was not busy.
  6. Hey, I just got that today in my e-mail box. They have routed the case to my local office...hmm..aren't they my local office already? Or does that mean they sent it here to Boston somewhere? It has been 4 months and a week. Maybe this is good I guess, at least I know my case isn't sitting there on someone's desk.
  7. Are You Still Waiting?

Yeah, I am expecting to be waiting til April. Oh well, what can we do right?
  8. Waiting Time Line-To Be Extended???

Tomorrow is the lucky day then? I will try not to check my status 10 times a day. The maybe when I check on Friday it will have changed. hahaha I am scared they will send me an RFE as well,I have only been waiting for 3 months, I wish they would send it already if they really have to though.
  9. Are You Still Waiting?

I have actually seen people that called and ended up getting mailed RFEs. Like, it's sitting there, and then you call, and then they go like "Yeah, oops, sorry we need more stuff". Just to mess with you. But you are getting to that time, I am sure you will get approved before mid march.
  10. Waiting Time Line-To Be Extended???

Your case was routed to another center? Really, plus and RFE? Wow, VT must be backed up big time then. Yeah, I believe there will be longer wait times now that people saw that Obama won, they are gathering evidence, sending in stuff now during the new year. It is definitely gonna get busier.
  11. Waiting Or Not?

I really don't mind standing in line if I have to. I do the same at the movies, go to the machine, but that is just because I hate being in line when other people are always cutting, they let other in front of them, and there is goes, as soon as you see, you got 5 brand new, never seen before teenagers who cut the line because one friend was standing there for them. Urghhh, that is what gets me most about lines, the rude people that think they, their problems, their appointments, their compromises are more important than you, because you know, WHO ARE YOU? I just despise obnoxious people like that, self entitled, who think the world revolves around them. Now, if it is a service you can pay to get ahead, it is your right, obviously. Like, at SIx Flags, everytime I go, I pay for the fast lane to get on the rides and not waste time, enjoy the whole day, have time for a meal, but I am paying for it, so, I do not feel guilty.
  12. Time Lines What's Yours??!!

Ohh, that's good then, at least you know they probably won't be sending you one.
  13. Time Lines What's Yours??!!

Are you going to call or put in an e-request Laste? I hope they don't send you an RFE, some people wait patiently for the 90 days, and then when they call to know, they ask them for more evidence...total bullshit.
  14. Time Lines What's Yours??!!

Mine is similar to yours. 2 day difference. And my application went to Vermont, urghhh, they suck.
  15. 13-Year Max For Citizenship

I do hope the people who have been waiting get what they need. I know of people who have waited over 30 years to bring their relatives to this country, they have been apart for so long. It would be really unfair for them to pass this bill and give people legal status jut to get the votes in a hurry for the next election. I know I would be a person to get papers much faster than my own husband, who came here through the border. But again,it is fair that he has to go further back on the line than me, and that is very understandeable that I have to go to the back of the line further than many, many people. Come to think of it, I shouldn't even be on the line, I am very lucky that this country has given me this opportunity. I have signed my husband up to go to school, and hopefully, if this new law passes, he can take some courses, become a contractor eventually, I have told him a million times, this country does not need people who are uneducated, who do not have degrees to contribute, so, go to school, get it together, learn to speak, write and read as many languages as you can. Master the English language, do it better than many Americans who can't even write these days, show them you can go above and beyond. No disrrespect to American, of course, but nowadays it seems like autocorrect does the job and no one bothers to care about "you are" and "your" you know what I mean? Education is lacking enforcement, and the ones, like us, who want to go to school, can't because of a stupid piece of paper. Ohhh I just love venting, I am sorry, you guys. lol But yes, long story short. Back of the line is a dream come true for us who are here ilegally, at least, I personally think so, my vote will not be bought because they will give me papers, it will be given to those who want the best for the country when time comes.
  16. 13-Year Max For Citizenship

Even thoug most people crossed the border illegaly, I do think it is a long time, but again, no one is entitled to citizenship in this country because we are all here illegaly. I think that if they grant 11 million people a SSN and a License for the time being, meaning, when they apply for the law that is supposedly coming out, it will be good for everyone, more than some people could ask for. After a few months, if they are allowed travel outide the country, fine, that too would be great. But we, as immigrants, have to have a common sense, learn English, pay taxes, contribute, walk within the laws, be exemplary citizens, pay for out healthcare if we can, after all we are not here because anyone invited us. We are hated, people want to close the border because of us, they see us as invaders of their country and their culture. And I do understand, because I feel like that when I go some places here too. I am from Brazil, I speak Portuguese, and I have been refused service because I did not speak Spanish "that she could understand", that is absurd, and imagine how an American feels. We gotta smarten up, and I know that "I'm already here", but that is not the point, if Americans don't see that the border is being taken care of, they will not agree on the fact that we are contributing memebers, or that they should pass a law at all. And yes, there must be ways to make easier entry for those trying to apply to come here legally, to buld businesses and create jobs. And I think now, even more, that the border should be secure because of drugs, firearms and other illegal things coming to this country. And I do have family trying to come here through the border and I see that they are going to be a problem again, in 20 years. I am not selfish, I just don't want to see these people in the same situation as us two decades from now, and their own children suffering. Give them a temporary work permit if they are trying to apply legally then, something like 2 years. They have taken Brazil out of the "lottery" list and it has been 8 years, they are not putting the country back there, ever. At the same time that the U.S. advertises these opportunities, they make it impossible and it is not fair, but at the same time, it is so easy to cross the border, especially because the Americans guarding it are corrupt, they take money for each person that crosses. Everyone needs to smarten up, otherwise this will be a problem again in 15, 20 years. You guys, please, don't think I am sefish because I am talking about the borders closing, I know this has been an issue with another fellow member here because I have said that, but this is just my opinion ok. Sorry if I offended anyone.
  17. New Member From Boston, Ma

Hey Patrick. Welcome, welcome. I, too am from Boston. Feel free to browse around and ask questions. This forum is full of the nicest people, we can answer each other's questions and doubts most times. Post your time line so we can compare how long it took to get approved. Welcome again!!!
  18. Bill Would Set An 8-Year Path To Residency

I really want to know if someone got approved for a travel permit after DACA and how they went about it. I don't think I can wait another 8 years to see my family. It has already been 11. I hope the conditions to apply get less strict at least. I mean, I wish that if the people who are getting in the "back of the line" are getting there at all, they should allow them temporary travel permits. Maybe like, once every 2 years or something like that. Wish, wish, wish, I just keep on wishing. lol
  19. You are right Splif, sometimes the structure of sentences make them sound very offensive. It did sound like an insult to me, this is why I chose not to go off and answer it as I saw fit. So, no argument here. To each his own. I don't like discussing things like this over te internet, I would rather look people in the eye, makes much more sense.
  20. Sorry I will not get into arguments here on this wonderful forum with you or anyone else. I just refuse. The opinions I state, are my own, you do not have to agree. Just please, respect them.
  21. They better do it, cause we all saw what he did last year, he just took it into his own hands. 3 million people back in 86 was one thing...now, it is just ignorant not to do something about 12+ million. They MUST secure the border though, it is not fair for Americans either, border security must take priority if anything is going to work for the beneit of everyone.
  22. Well, it figures I would send my application on the busiest month....just my luck. Better than nothing, I guess lol. Should've sent it earlier and then I would already have my stuff. I am surprised at how few Brazilians have sent applications.
  23. Okay, so today is oficillay 3 months since I took my bios on November 15th. And 4 months since I sent mt application. I wish someone had told me "Angelina, it will take 5 months, at least, do not go crazy and quit your job for another one without your stuff in hand!" haha Yeah, damn it, now I am home, bored, cannot apply for a job because I don't want to make my situation worse because I don't know how a background check works, oh heavens!!! I feel worse for the people who are waiting even longer, I am lucky I am fine, I have money saved, but for those who don't only God can help. I hope they get approved faster than me. I can wait another month, I wish I didn't have to though. I wanna go to schooooool! Sorry guys, just venting, rating, bored to death!!! Well, hopefully by summer everyone who applied has been approved and we can make a contribuiton to the country and get on the path to making all our lives better.
  24. 3 Months And Still Jobless =[

I had the same problem when I went to get a job. Only fast food experience. I didn't get the first job I went to. But you know what, I searched google up and down for tips, I sat in front of the mirror practiced answers and tried to emphasize the things I was good at, imagined possible answers and questions. I also looked for answers and questions that the interviews would ask me. I walked in there sweating so freaking much, and I talked so much and smiled so much, I got the job. lol I lost the job because my papers did nor arrive yet, but they are expecting me back as soon as I get my papers. I thought I would never get it though, it was such a sophisticated place, never in a million years, but you know, keep practicing, do not leave it for the last minute, that is what went wrong for me the first time. Practice, practice, because if they are calling you for interviews, there must be something on your resumee they like, just practice to death, imagine every possible scenario. And always emphasize the good things about yourself. Good luck, do not give up, there is something for all of us out there when we want it enough.
  25. This Is Too Long :\

Amor, you have been waiting forever and day. I hope you get approved really soon. I mean, soon is not even soon enough. I think you were the first person I saw on the forum there when I found it, and I thought you had already been waiting long. Wow, your stuff needs to be there like last week. lol
