Is The Consular Id Card Good For Biometrics?
Lonewolf8951 replied to Kris's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
The Consular worked fine for me here in Tx. It shouldn't be any problem. Good luck! -
I've always been happy with my name. I don't think you can do anything about while here just yet.
-
Sorry to hear that. Don't lose hope though. Hopefully they'll get there standards straight and everything will be resolved. Good luck!

Patience is a virtue. Just keep your heads up. Our time is coming.

Everyone needs a little country in their life.

Still waiting. But hopeful. =]

I did it all myself. Seemed pretty straight forward. But went to a lawyer to look over it just for another perspective.

Trying not to check is like a real bad itch. So i scratched it, about fifteen times. Trying not to think about it is a lot harder than I expected.

Can't go wrong with a good book. Or if their outdoor kinda folks like me, can't go wrong with hunting/fishing gear and or accessories. -
Country and that's about it. Except for when it's christmas time, the I get into the old carols.

There's no way it would pass. Me being the optimist that I am though; I'm glad the GOP submitted something, however misguided it may be.But a pathway to citizenship is my ending goal. I've been studying for law enforcement but you need to be a citizen to join. The latino vote is one heavy swing now and some republicans are waking up to that. But they're going to have to compromise a whole lot more if any progress is going to be made. This Achieve Act is nothing close to what we need.

Well I was raised up a little bit redneck. So I'm gonna look for an old 88' GMC pickup. Can't ever go wrong having a truck.=]

To be an American citizen is more than just being born here in my eye's. It's a state of mind and heart. An acceptance of personal responsibility for the bettering of ourselves, each other and the further strengthening the nation as a whole. So many people take it for granted. Like the old saying goes, “You don't realize what you have till it's gone.” Personally I hope and will strive to obtain citizenship one day. There are those that leech off the government and it's people; lie and cheating in their way of life and they're citizens simply because they were born here. And then there's immigrants such as us that bust our backs to make it through but have limited success because of an immigration system that's needed an overhaul since the fifties. All we're looking for is better life. We are a nation of immigrants. That'll never change.

Welcome to the group dude! We all just take it one day at a time. But seeing the light at the end of the tunnel is one hell of a feeling so I get ya. Keep your head up and truck on. -

If I'm lucky enough to get approved and obtain the EAD before the New Year, that'll be like the best Christmas gift ever. Don't lose hope y'all. Waiting isn't always fun. So my advice is do what I do, find a good book series and start reading. =]

Thanks Y'all. Got done with Biometrics today. Now just the fun filled time of waiting. =]

What do you plan to do after you get your EAD?
Lonewolf8951 replied to YourFriend_Gzuz's topic in Life After Deferred Action
Once I get it, apply for a SSN and DL. My butt is going to work and work like crazy. But most of all, I'm going fishing. I'll finally be able to get a fishing license and not worry about game wardens and fines. I can see that five pound catfish already. I'm happier than the gopher in Caddyshack. -
