The 2013 Dream Act is expected to be re-introduced by both chambers of Congress in January 2013, just shortly after the President's Inauguration. The original Bill, called the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act (The "DREAM Act") was first introduced in the US Congress in 2001, with the last Bill introduced in both the Senate and House in 2011. http://www.dreamact2009.org/ Hopefully we won't have to renew our EAD and get permanent residence already!!

Do you guys apply for jobs online or go in person?

If you have one, where did you apply? Online or the actual bank? & what do I need to take with me?

I applied for a secured one the other day, I went in person they just asked me for my debit card and that's it, which is from the same bank.

I did hear though that right after we get the permanent residence we can immediately apply for citizenship.

That's really weird. They got my application August 21st, and everything is already done, EAD, ssn, ID. Maybe you can try asking them why they need extra time for processing?

I sent stuff from my I-94 Visa from when i first got here and all school records, elementary school to now which is college. If for example you send info from 2005,2006,2007 and then skip to 09 they will send u an RFE to show proof that u were here in 2008.

I think anyone who got approved for DACA will be allowed to get the Dream Act. Because in DACA even after you turn 32 you will be able to renew you EAD. Hopefully they allow the same for the Dream Act =D don't worry, we are all basically in !!

I took my EAD, social security and h.s diploma. or u can take your college ID with transcript. This is in NY.

Prepared and went through it myself. Already approved =] I'm glad i didn't waste money on lawyers, but that's because i had all the evidence i needed and no criminal record or any obstacles so it was really easy.

Try and go as early as possible so you won't have to wait long :] Take your EAD, approval letter and passport or school ID =]

if you don't get it by then it's ok, i forgot to bring mine and i just showed them my college ID.
