So what happens after 6 months + 15 days of waiting? Has anybody gotten any response from uscis after reaching this point?

It's getting harder and harder to avoid a feeling of frustration. I called their 1800 # today and the lady didnt want to create a service request, i had to insist. The bottom line is that there' s nothing that we can do to expedite our request. what i suggest is for each one of you to keep doing what your doing or even enroll in a program or school. First, going to school or learning a new trade will keep your skills sharp. Second, the process will keep your mind from thinking too much about our current fate. This is my second semester at a university and the finals are kicking my ass which is cool because it keeps me from thinking too much about my application. Whether or not i receive deferred action, im still going to complete school and get a good job either here or somewhere else. In other words, im writing my own destiny. I wont let them (uscis) get me down. There, my take on waiting time and looking forward for a positive future.....

Date acceptance letter of application received - September 19, 2012 Date Biometrics taken - October 22,2012 Date Approved: PENDING Date of EAD received - PENDING CALIFORNIA OFFICE The only answer that I got from calling their customer service number was that I have to wait from 4 to 6 months before they can do anything...so I still have 2 more months to go....

Thanks JC29040! Good information! I wonder if the 2012 - 2013 application would do any good now. I filled it out last July but I received no email or response from them.

No hay de otra Jcarlos08 mas que mantener la calma! Es algo chistoso e interesante que un simple permiso de trabajo pueda cambiar tanto nuestras vidas. Sin embargo la actitud positiva y amigable que he visto en todos los dreamers, es por si solo algo mas grande. Pase lo que pase, esta actitud positiva es la que nos va hacer salir adelante y crecer como personas.... Buena suerte!

This is going to be my second semester at CSULB...and so far im loving it! Im sure that your sister would like it too! BTW I tried to fill out the application for financial aid today but we still need to wait until Jan 14th and then we can do it online. Also it seems that one of the requisites is that your parents file their 2012 taxes. In my case, since I support myself, it'll be me filing taxes. In any case, i think the best thing to do is to go to the california dream act website and start gathering the information needed to complete the application! Good luck everyone!

January is our month everyone. Fresita22, your mom is right, our time will come when we least expect it. I guess the best thing to do is to focus in a new project like school, family, 2013 goals, healthy habits or by encouraging other dreamers....

I even tried both in English and Spanish trying to see if they'll give me a different response but nothing, both operators sounded like robots..! They either read from a script or they memorized what they have to say word by word...well my experiment fail ha ha ha and i still have to wait one more month. Im in the same boat. I applied last september and my 90 day mark already passed so i called them this week. They said my application was still under the 4 to 6 months limit that they have to approve or reject it. In other words, i should wait one more month before calling them back. It sucks but there's nothing that we can do but to keep waiting.... (California)

Im also planning to apply for it. Is anyone attending csulb?

Is anybody waiting since their biometrict appoinment on October 22? Or before Oct 22?

Tal y como dice dreamer2008, hay que ser pacientes Aunque se dice facil, recuerden todos que ya hemos esperado años y unas semanas mas no debera ser tan malo. Mis biometrics fueron el 22 de octubre en CA y todavia nada...hando como menso checandoa diario el uscis website para mirar my case status pero eso ya me tiene loco, voy a tratar de no verlo hasta en una semana. pswa83- permit status= day when you get approved. I guess that im not familiar with all the DACA terminology. Fabio It seems that more you wait to turn in your application, the longer it takes for them to process it....

Heres my background: 31 year old ( i was 30 on june 15) Ive been here since 1993 Currently in school, CSU system Being paying taxes since 2002 Never went back to Mexico Biometrics- 9/22 CA office EAD - still pending Im just like you Luna, wondering if my background has anything to do with it...BTW what is your permit status?

Has anyone been approved for cal grants yet? I applied for it last July but I never received any money or positive answer. I heard that after the CSU system distributes all the money to legal residents, then they will give any leftover money to undocumented students. The problem is that there is not alot of leftover money and so the california dream act doesnt do much for us then.. Does anyone know someone who is getting financial help next semester?
