Why is it that people think they have the authority to tell you what to do or what not to do, what to say or how to feel?

usually if it says POLICE across their back, they can...lol. jk
because there are some people in this world who think that they know more then others and in the end 2 things will happen, 1) either they will surround themselves with "yes" people who dont disagree with them or 2) they get beat up by people who are sick and tired of listening to their BS. LOL
