deferred action lawyer How much is your lawyer taxing you?
engineer2mike replied to Admin's topic in Dream Lounge
I filled out the paperwork & gather all the evidence myself. I just paid an attorney $50 to double check because I also wanted piece of mind. App. Fee $465 + Attorney Fee $50 + FedEx/Kinko's $30 + USPS $6= $550 -

Yeah DO IT!!

Yeah Santi you're right!! I never liked those Institution that you mentioned because they seem they're just interested in the $$$. Gezinha, try to stay with community/ Jr Colleges for the career you want because even some states ( IDK about Mass.) to pay for tuition. I manage to pay because it's affordable to me ( $300-500 every 4months).

How Long Do I Have To Wait?
engineer2mike replied to elsoniador91's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Gezinha, I am 29. I've been going to school on & off since I graduated H.S. I am transferring to a 4-year University from a community college this Fall. I also been working with a fake papers since then, and started filing taxes since 2007 using an ITIN. I'm O.K financially because I have a good credit/lending reputation which I want to show it with a credit history. -
Now that Immigration is on the table, I feel that the clock is ticking because I have 2 more years to complete my Bachelor's Degree. I feel pressure as well to finish. I thankful that we DREAMERS are being legalize because I can get a job anywhere I want, and work /build on credit history. I know we all going to be productive citizens, and we won't need any social assistance from the FED. Just try to find something you're good at, and go to school to improve your skills

I was going to send just the college transcripts, but I paid a lawyer $50 just to double check my paperwork. He told me that the transcripts has gaps( summer & winter breaks), and that USCIS will make that gaps a big deal (he was right!!). He ask me if I had a bank account, and to sent my statements for those 5 years ( 250 pages ).
-
DilonShane, If you're going to reapply, just make sure to have proper evidence for every requirement i.e for 5 year continued (every month) bc I think that's the most reason why USCIS sends RFEs. Your packet should be a thick one. The guidelines can be found on the USCIS website. I send my college transcripts & Banking Statements. GOOD LUCK!!

I'm also waiting for the EAD to come in, so I can get a job. I've been waiting & unemployed since i did my bios. I want to work already because I will attend University for my Jr & Sr year, and need $$$. I'm just working on day a week, and living of my Tax Refund. -
Here!!! I haven't tried bc others have said that they get the same message from USCIS CSRs..."WAIT" and I take there word for it.

What did you send for the 5 year continuous requirement? Was there an RFE prior to this notice?

Financial Aid Living In Illinois
engineer2mike replied to rociomagdalenaa's topic in Life After Deferred Action
If money is the main issue(which it always is), try to stay in a community college level because it's cheaper. Try to go to several colleges and compare there Nursing curriculum, and then transfer to a Four-year university. I went to four different Community Colleges because classes are often available in one college that is not necessarily offered in another. Don't give up Rocio:)- 3 replies
