  1. I Think I Got Approved!!!!

Congratulations! Your long wait is over.
  2. Very odd, but it could be possible that the RFE was caused by a system error. Just wait a couple of days and if nothing shows up in your mail then call them again and ask if you could talk to a supervisor or someone in a higher position who may have more information on your case. The next step if nothing else works would off be making an appointment with "InfoPass" but USCIS have made it clear that "If you plan to request or have already requested Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, we will not be able to provide any information or updates on your case if you make an INFOPASS appointment to visit a USCIS Office." But if you want to disregard that message and wish to go ahead and make an appointment with InfoPass then here's a link. https://infopass.uscis.gov/info_lang.php?sel_lang=en Just call them and if they keep giving you the same robotic answers then just ask them to transfer your call to someone else who has more authority.
  3. It's Taking Forever!

You're not alone, as a matter of fact, there are thousands of people who have filed their applications in September, October and November and still haven't heard anything from USCIS. You are definitely at the early stage of the process, so just relax and occupy yourself with something else to take away the worrying. Be patient and wait, you could be approved anytime. If you can't see your application on the USCIS website, I suggest that you sign up for case status update. Have your I-765 and I-821 D case numbers ready. Clink this link to sign up... https://egov.uscis.g...LA8Kf-EdXbhMQ2t
  4. I Got Approved

You don't just move knowing damn well that you're waiting for important documents. Before you even started packing your stuff to move to a new place, you should of made sure that this is taken care off. You have to be on top of things, don't just wait for some lawyer to take care of it. I don't mean to sound like your father... but seriously!! What you should do now is try to reach out to the new tenants or owners and find out if they've received your mail.
  5. Why did you do that? I don't think your application will be declined but you shouldn't have put any fake SSN on that application unless that number was issued to you by the Social Security Administration. I don't mean to be so harsh on you, but didn't you read all the important updates and Q&A on the USCIS website? The good thing is probably nothing might happen but I'm not sure. I do know several people who've made this mistake and some of them have been approved, but every-case is different, so hope for the best.
  6. Absolutely Great...rfe

It seems to me like you haven't received your RFE letter yet, so you pretty much don't know what exactly they're re-guesting. I would just suggest that you wait for the letter to arrive before you start spending your money on those statements. They might just want to see evidence for specific months or they might what to see something else. Just calm down, don't stressed yourself out. At least now you have a sense of where your case is heading.

  8. More Info

I don't know if there's another number, but try the USCIS National Customer Service Center Number (800) 375-5283
  9. No, not at all. All of my colleges that I attended I've claimed to be a U.S citizen, I've had this habit of claiming to be a U.S. citizen in my college applications (I'm an undocumented U.S citizen ), yes please send me to jail for lying on my college application. Lol I don't think it really matters to be honest as long as you provide them with copies of your passport and birth certificate.
  10. Daca Not Approved

People with no lawful status or better yet no drivers license should not be operating motor vehicles. I'm 26 years old and I've been in this country since I was 14. While I've been here I have never operated a vehicle at all, yes, its super embarrassing that a 26 year old man doesn't know how to drive but It helped me stay out of trouble. I have my learners permit now and I'm doing pretty good so far, I should be able to go for my road test pretty soon. If you have no lawful status, don't build a bad record on top of that!
  11. After Receiving The Notice

Yes, you have to use the EAD Card to apply for Social Security number. Make sure you take your passport, birth certificate and your EAD card. When I applied for my SSN I thought a passport and an EAD card would be enough but they also wanted to see my birth certificate, luckily I had it with me.
  12. Forms For Traveling

I highly advice that you don't travel outside the U.S. yet, especially if you're a DACA recipient with an over-stayed visa record.
  13. I Need Help. (Lawyer(

This is why I don't like lawyers, they are creepy little evil bastards who use their knowledge in law to manipulate and take advantage of people. Be very cautious when you're dealing with lawyers and I mean CAUTIOUS, they are like sales people but with a law degree, trying to sell you and make you sign things that might legally hurt you. I would suggest that you go face to face and ask him for the invoice detailing every activity that he took on your case, but since you've signed that contract I don't know at this point if you have the upper hand. I'm sorry that he did this to you.
  14. There are few well-financed evil people in positions of power and they control so much of the government, the U.S government is an auction and only the wealthy among-st us get to participate. Our politicians are bought by the highest bidders to make laws that benefit them rather than making laws that benefit the general public. Capitalism is pissing all over the constitution. Everything nowadays is about money and power, nothing else. These disgusting and morally reprehensible prison lobbyist, they are not going to win this fight this time around, but leave no doubt, they will get something out of whatever immigration law Congress happens to pass this summer.
  15. Thank You!

That makes the 2 of us, but our fight is far from over at least until we get that citizenship, so don't get too comfortable now...i'm just sayin.
  16. New Questions Guys,

I don't want to sound like a douche, but can you guys post in English, please? ...or at least teach me Spanish.
  17. I will fly over there and we'll celebrate when you get your approval, Splif.
  18. Congratulations!...this is like the 3rd or 4th approval post in the last 24 hours, keep 'em coming.
  19. Doubt it! Even if it does pass the NC General Assembly, the person who is in charge of signing bills into law (Governor) actually supports the status-quo...so do the math. http://www.timesdispatch.com/news/national-world/government-politics/n-c-governor-supports-pink-licenses-for-immigrants/article_d5a38029-1002-51ac-855c-5f9aaf00c1f9.html
  20. I'm a very optimistic guy but when you have a General Assembly as well as the Governorship in North Carolina that is overwhelmingly controlled by crazy republicans, then I have to be more realistic than optimistic. I'm sorry but I don't think that bill has the chance of passing. Those politicians in that state are supported by anti-immigrants constituents.
  21. That bill of eliminating "pink strips" on license have no chance of becoming law in North Carolina. The NC governor supports the pink strips license he's the one who signed off on that idea in the first place. They can hate all they want but they're fighting a losing battle, especially when it comes to immigration. F*cking haters, i'm sick of these right-wingers!! http://www.timesdispatch.com/news/national-world/government-politics/n-c-governor-supports-pink-licenses-for-immigrants/article_d5a38029-1002-51ac-855c-5f9aaf00c1f9.html
  22. Steps Forward??

I agree, this time it will happen. We have to be ready to make those phone calls in the summer. Moderate republicans want to get immigration done but those right-wingers will fight back and they will push back hard.
  23. Steps Forward??

It seems like there's some progress, they're taking baby steps this time around. The AFL-CIO and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce have to come to an agreement before these different immigration bills come to the Senate and House floor for debate. I don't want to see the repeat of 2007 again, the disagreements between those two organisations help bring down the 2007 immigration reform bill. We've to get ready for showdown in Congress this summer and whatever happenes I want the Dream Act to be intanct.
