My EAD Card and both Approval letters came on the same day.

Congratulations! California Service Center process applications 20% to 30% faster than any other Service Centers.

I receive my EAD card today, can't wait to head to my local Social Security Office on Monday.

LMAO!! That's very creative.

I can only speak for my case, since every case is different. I put a lot of faith in my school records. All of my evidence were school records. I submitted a copy of my I-94 Card, copy of my expired Visa, Copy of my passport, copy of my birth certificate, my official high school transcripts, copy of my diploma and all of my official college transcript from 2007 to 2012 including photo copies of all of my school ID's and also copies of my college class schedules. The evidence that I submitted had some serious gaps, for instance I did not submit any evidence for all of 2009 because I took a year off from college and for 2007 I could only submit evidence from September to December, and on top of that I did not submit evidence for June 15th 2007 and June 15th 2012, and despite all that I was able to be approved in less than 20 days after my Biometrics. So my point is this; if you are in college, I strongly recommend that you submit your official unopened transcripts because they are more genuine and reliable and not to mention that they establishes strong evidence for continuous residency. College transcripts will definitely make it easier for the adjudicator, and they will speed up your application. One more thing, just because I did not submit any evidence for June 15th 2007 and June 15th 2012 doesn't mean that you shouldn't submit any evidence either, so make sure that you have those days covered. Again, I'm only speaking for myself and what have worked for me.

Congratulations man, I want those approvals to keep coming, our people have been waiting for this for years and decades.

All these budget crisis are self-inflicted wounds, the sequestration was supposed to be diverted today and nothing happened and then we have another Fiscal Cliff at the end of March and then another debt-ceiling fight coming at the beginning of April. No wonder why people hate Congress, this is not a way to govern. All these ridiculous budget crisis are delaying important policy discussions like immigration reform and gun control. God save us from Republicans. Republicans in Congress are self-indulgent crooks and are absolutely incompetent at governing, they will obstruct anything. We need to step up too before the crazy Tea Party folks do. What happened to the massive Immigration rallies that we used to have back in 2006? We need those rallies now more than ever. This is the year for immigration reform.

Believe me, many of us have those similar stories of seeing our friends get their licenses and jobs...etc. I understand why you want to get your documents as fast as possible. Since I've been approved I've been reflecting on all those years of my life that went to waste. But more than anything I'm just so thankful to the all of the Dream Act Activist and also to president Obama, non of this would of have happened if it wasn't for the Obama administration.

Liberal or blue states like California don't comply with the "Federal Real ID Act of 2005", meaning that they have less stricter laws compared to southern states like Georgia for instance. This is why I love liberal states. We need to turn Texas blue in 2016 people! Lol

I also applied late 2012, I applied December 26 to be exact and I got approved February 26.

I agree with Rawf. Jeovany just slow down a little and take it all in. Lol You can't get your license and your social security card/number right away. Things take a while to process. The good thing is you just received your EAD Card, just sit back and celebrate until your social arrives and then head to the DMV with a big *ss smile.

I don't know how much the Dream Act will help you once it has been passed, it dependents on how long you've been here and at what age did you came to the U.S. What will help you though will be the overall comprehensive immigration reform which will reform the F1-Visa program. Both political parties in Congress are definitely in favor of making it fair and easier for people on the F1-Visa to study and work here rather than deporting them once the Visa has expired. Try to get your F1-Visa renewed if its possible but if its not then just wait to see what Congress will do this spring/Summer with regard to those on an expired F1-Visa. My believe is that people on an expired or unexpired F1 will be taken care of.

Congratulations Silvazquez27, its amazing seeing people being approved. I teared up when I was approved on Tuesday. I had all these emotions running through and out of me, and its an overwhelming sense relief. After 13 long years it has finally happened.

You probably have been approved. Its somewhat familiar as to what happened to me. My I-765 case was approved while my I-821D case was still in initial review, but several hours later I received two more notifications saying that I've been approved for both the I-765 and I-821D. So just wait around midnight or early tomorrow morning you should receive two more text approving you for both cases. Anyway Congrats... -
I agree with JoseG, your mom has nothing to worry about. Even if they could detain her they wouldn't because she's a "low-risk". Hundreds of Low-risk immigrants are already being released from Texas prisons anyway.
-
Don't let this break you. We immigrants have suffered for so long and yet we've never given up hope. You WILL be approved its just a matter of when. Just remember that you're just a day away from being approved. That approval will come unexpectedly and when it does you'll be overwhelmed with joy, Just enjoy life's simplest things and don't think too much about your application.

First of all, welcome to the forum. To answer your question, yes it has happened to a lot of people. You're still within the 4-6 months waiting time, so don't worry too much, just go on about your daily schedule and you will get the approval text when you least expect it.

I just got approved in less than 20 business days. My cased lacked substantial evidence but yet I got approved faster than I thought.

Thanks so much man. If my EAD card arrives and no status update on my I-821D by then, then I will definitely call them. -
I-765 Approved But I-821D In Initial Review?

Wow that's an impressive timeline, but I'm still confused about my I-821D case, why is it still in Initial Review? -
@ Absent. I dont think you should be seeing that specific message. They should of updated it letting you know that they received the RFE Response. I'm not sure, I could be wrong but you really have to call them just to make sure that they've received the response to the RFE. Call them first thing Monday morning.
