Senate Immigration Proposal To Include Pathway To Citizenship
Osha replied to Admin's topic in Dream Act News
I listened to their news conference this afternoon and they're sounding very optimistic about a comprehensive immigration reform. Within this comprehensive principles for immigration reform they're talking about expediting the Dream Act process, which is very promising. The opponents of the comprehensive immigration reform are already calling it "amnesty". Its amazing how republicans took a perfectly positive word in the English dictionary and made it negative. Get ready for the fight, I can already smell the haters . -
PSWA83, You're absolutely correct about that, forgive me, I had my information all wrong. Have you tried to determine if the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA) applies to you?

PSWA83, Is your mom a U.S Citizen? If not, forget this post, if she is a U.S. citizen then continue reading. You are an immediate relatives of a U.S citizen (Your Mother), right? If you're mother is a U.S. citizen and you're 21 years or older and unmarried, you should file form I-130 again and you'll be able to receive a visa number right away, which would allow you to file form I-485 to adjust your status. There is no waiting period for children of U.S citizens. So, I don't really understand why you didn't apply again for adjustment of status knowing now that your mom is a U.S. citizen.

Can we apply for DV Lottery having Deferred Action approved?
Osha replied to paul86's topic in Life After Deferred Action
Yes, you can play the DV Lottery even if you have the EAD and you must come from countries that aren't excluded from the DV program. I played the DV before but with no luck. -
Each state that has adopted the Federal Real ID Act of 2005 will probably grant you a DL based on your EAD card. In my state of Georgia the requirements for getting an ID is much much tougher and I know they'll base the longevity of my DL on my EAD card because of the Federal Real ID Act.

It used to be in person but most companies nowadays prefer online, there might be few ones out there that still do it the old ways.

transfer credit score from fake ssn to the new ssn.
Osha replied to oskarthe1's topic in Life After Deferred Action
That's not possible. The fake ssn is just that, its fake, there's no data associated with it. -
Try local community banks, if you live in one of the southern states, try Regions Bank instead of those big banks like Bank of America.

That seems more than enough to get your case approved, Raul, unless there's a moron who's dealing with your case. I have the feeling that I might get an RFE for something. I relied heavily on my college transcripts as evidence and also my school schedules. An RFE is not as bad as people try to make it, sure it will delay your case for a while but at least you're getting a chance to bring something that you've missed, and most importantly, it also suggest that you're on your way to being approved. It's way better than a denial letter in my opinion.

I send my application quite recently on the 28th of December and they received it on the 2nd of January and my biometrics is scheduled on the 28th. I send in strong evidence to prove my continuous residency. All of my evidence are high school and college transcripts. If everything goes well I should be approved in February, if not, then maybe March or even April. I can wait, I've been in the shadows for 13 years, a couple of month of waiting is nothing.

You don't have to prove that you were in the country every single day or even every single month.

Filling Out The I-765 Worksheet
Osha replied to chuckster954's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
I was plain out right truthful in that I-765ws. I put all zeros, because I don't work, which means I don't have a source of income, I'm depended up on my parents. And then I wrote a 4 sentence explaining my economic hardship and why I need to work. That's it. -
Getting Pulled Over Without Driver's License In Fl While Daca Application Is Pending
Osha replied to chuckster954's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Don't take unnecessary risks, you shouldn't be driving if you don't have a licesense, especially if you don't have legal status. keep a low profile and use your free time by educating yourself or taking some college courses if you can. -

Approvals Are Faster In Certain States?
Osha replied to chris23's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
I don't think any of the centers process applications faster than the others, it all depends on who is working on your case and it also depends on your case itself. If you have laid out all of your evidence carefully and neatly in a timeline then your case will go smoothly, and most importantly it also depends on your biometrics, if you have a common name with a lot of people in the system then it will take a while. I think if you include too much documents to prove your case can also delay it. It's not necessarily about how much evidence to include with your DACA, it's about the quality of the evidence. You don't want to confuse and frustrate someone who's working on your case with too much and unnecessary documents. -
Did Anyone Came To The U.s With A B1-B2 Visa Or Student Visa?
Osha replied to Osha's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
That's awesome, I send in almost exactly the same evidence as you did. I send in copies of all of my high school and college IDs as well as my high school and college transcripts, I also send in copies of my I-94 Card, Passport, my expired Visa, and copies of my high school diploma as well as my spring semester schedule. Lol Where I'm a little afraid of is the lack of evidence that prove that I was in the country on June 15th 2012, during this date I was on a summer break, and I did absolutely nothing for the month of June and July, so I'm just hoping that my strong evidence for continuous residency will kind of give me a cover, but if they send me an RFE I think i'll be able to come with something. :-) -

Has Anyone From Az Been Approved?
Osha replied to Cynthia_Penuelas's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
Gov. Brewer is evil. Lol I feel really bad for those who live in some of these republican states. I live in Georgia which is very dominated by a republican legislature and thank goodness they are allowing DACA applicants to get DL/ ID. -

Awesome. I just recently filed for DACA on Dec 28th after careful consideration. My biometrics is scheduled for Jan 28th, i might do a walk-in sometimes this week or the next. I don't have a criminal history at all and my name pretty uncommon so I'm hopeful that my case will go just as smooth. :-) AOS through marriage was actually my first and only option but things between me and my girlfriend didn't workout. If you don't mind me asking, Jose; how strong of evidence did you include with your DACA application? -

Your whole DACA application process from the time you file to your DACA approval took only 19 days? If so, please tell us your secret. Lol -
Anybody From Guilford County Tried Getting Their License?

Sue the state! Don't be afraid to take this to the courts. -
I feel so bad for those who have to wait this long. I took my time with my case, I first wanted to wait till after the election to file and when the election turned into our favor and after exploring other immigration options, I started gathering everything and I finally filed on December 28th and my biometrics is scheduled for Jan.28th. I'm prepared for the long wait. These immigration processes takes a really long time for some and sometimes things tend to run smoothly for others. Just wait, your EAD Card will come when you least expect it and sometimes that's the best thing about it. :-)
