Pink Stripe On Illegal Immigrants' Driver's Licenses Considered In Nc
Osha replied to latinagirl's topic in General Discussions
True, but the majority of them are older white men, who by the tend to be more political and they tend to use the immigration issue as a wedge issue. Just look at the anti-immigration protesters or the hateful thing that they spew in town hall meetings like the one John McCain had last week (they're almost all older white men). I'm just stating a fact as controversial it may be, its just the fact. -
Pink Stripe On Illegal Immigrants' Driver's Licenses Considered In Nc

I'm sick and tired of these old, angry, evangelical white men who think that this country belongs to them and them only. Its always been the same haters decade after decade giving minorities in this country a tough life. They've blocked all meaningful immigration reforms time and time again. They are just haters lets just call them for who they are, they are hateful greedy bastards. They love to make other peoples lives miserable while they thrive, and they run around claiming that they are god loving people. Bullsh*t! "Hate is too great a burden to bear. It injures the hater more than it injures the hated" --- Coretta Scott King. -
I'm looking between May to July for my approval, and if I die before then please tell my folks to wait to bury me until my card arrives. I've been waiting 13 years for this and I'll be damned if I get buried without it. Application Sent: Dec. 26 To: California Service Center Bios Taken: Jan. 28/2013

Well, if they're asking for a marriage license then that's shouldn't be much of a problem considering if you have it, some RFE's can be rather demanding. But please let us know what they're asking for once the letter arrives.

No guys. The 8 year wait for permanent residence under the Obama draft immigration plan doesn't apply to the "Dream Act Kids" but it applies to everyone else. The Dreamers will have to wait only 2 years to get a Green Card and then another 5 years for citizenship, so its only 7 years in total from where we are right now to citizenship. Keep in mind that this is a very good reasonable proposal. The 8 year wait for permanent residence for everyone here illegally who isn't a "Dreamer" will be based on those who are already in line for a Green Card, meaning those who are doing it the legal way and by the way have been waiting for years to get approved, so its just fair to expedite those who are already in line before they can deal with those who are here illegally. The 11 million who are here illegally will be given a "Prospect Visa" immediately so that they can work and drive...etc. Its not like they will be left behind for 8 years, they will gain an immediate legal status. Under the Obama draft plan the "Dream Act Kids" (us) will actually get a really good deal. Remember this is only a draft and its highly unlikely that it will be the bill that Congress ultimately passes, however, whatever Congress passes this Spring or Summer will probably be similar to the Obama plan.

What a load of sh*t! Did the Tea Party send you here?

You're Welcome.

@ Jd_208 Affidavits from someone who knows you very well, like a parent, sibling or even a friend. Come up with whatever evidence you could find for those missing months and after that just sweetened the deal with a well written/sworn affidavit. You really have nothing to worry about, and if you can't find any evidence for those missing months then just send in two or more affidavits.
-
@Jd_208 All you need to do is to provide them with some more evidence for whatever they're asking for, OR just provide them with an affidavit. They are giving you a great opportunity here. If no primary evidence is available then provide them with a simple affidavit.

(f) Primary and Secondary Evidence . Closely related to the best evidence rule is the concept of primary and secondary evidence. Primary evidence is evidence which on its face proves a fact. For example, the divorce certificate is primary evidence of a divorce. Secondary evidence is evidence which makes it more likely that the fact sought to be proven by the primary evidence is true, but cannot do soon its own face, without any external reference. In the above example, church records showing that an individual was divorced at a certain time would be secondary evidence of the divorce. You will often encounter situations in which primary evidence is unavailable. This gives rise to a presumption of ineligibility, which is the applicant or petitioner’s burden to overcome. Title 8 CFR 103.2((2) sets out the procedures relating to unavailability of documents. A petitioner or applicant cannot simply assert that the primary evidence does not exist. The absence of a primary record, instead, must be proven either: · By a written statement from the appropriate issuing authority attesting to the fact that no record exists or can be located, or that the record sought was part of some segment of records which were lost or destroyed; or · By evidence (such as an affidavit) "that repeated good faith attempts were made to obtain the required document or record."
-
@ Jd_208 I think I understand what they are talking about. Your application is missing some form of "Primary Evidence" like a copy of a birth certificate or a copy of a diploma...etc Please tell us what primary evidence is missing from your application?
-
@ Jd_208 Its hard for us to explain fully what that say. You need to provide us with the full letter or at least retype a chunk of the letter for us so that we can determine what they're asking for. When you send in your application, did you write some type of a letter telling them that you were unable to provide some required documents? By reading that statement that you've provided, seems to me that they are responding to something in your application.

The Obama Immigration Draft Plan is very good. The 8 year wait for residency is very fair because those who are in line have to be processed first. Just consider that people who are doing it the legally way have been waiting for up to 16 years to get a green card, but with the Obama's plan those folks will be processed much faster to make way for those who are here illegally to processed as well. The dreamers under Obama plan will only have to wait for 2 years to get a green card and five years to get citizenship. The backlogs in our immigration system is incredibly ridiculous, and what the Obama plan does is expedite those who are in the applicant process for a green card and also eliminate some of the Visa categories that don't really help much but make things worse. So far this is a very fair plan, but its probably not going to be the plan that congress passes. The Obama plan is just a backup just in-case Congress doesn't pass its own plan which by the way will be different and probably much tougher for some of us to swallow.

@ JoseG Please provide us with a link from USCIS that says we shouldn't use staples. -
Question To Whoever Have Been Approved Already
Osha replied to 020490's topic in Dream Act Questions & Answers
What is so hard about removing a staple from a paper? There are Staple removers and I'm sure they have it handy when they need it. There's absolutely nothing wrong about stapling your documents when sending them in. If stapling your papers works for you than do it! -

NONSENSE! It doesn't matter if you staple it or not, they don't specify that anywhere. The most important thing is that you send in your documents properly signed and filled-in. -
@ Momo13 This is the opportunity were you give 'em hell! Send them everything that you can think of and I mean EVERYTHING! From Facebook check-ins to every single receipt with your name and date on it, just over burden them with tons of documents. Hell, send them copies of your emails as well if you want, just think of everything that has your name or all of the other names that you've used on it. Its kind of ridiculous that they want us to come up with all these evidence knowing damn well that we've been here with no papers, leading us to live very low-profile lives with little to no traces of evidence, its like asking a homeless person for his bank-statements. But at least we've been given a chance, might-as-well take advantage of it.
-
Every case is different, it's very important to know that. If you filled out every required document and have provided necessary evidence then you have nothing to worry about. Just kick back, keep yourself occupied and eventually you'll get that text/e-mail that says "you've been approved" when you least expect it. Remembe; many of us have been in the shadows for decades, waiting a couple of months is nothing new to us. Patience is the key. Keep in mind that this is a case by case process.
-
I highly suggest that people follow their schedules, do exactly as they tell you, don't try to bend the rules. The reason why they give you that 20+ days of biometrics notice is because there are other people who have been scheduled ahead of you for their biometrics.
-
It's is ridiculously long but you're still within the 4-6 months processing time. Be patient hopefully you'll get approved when you least expect it. Best of luck to you.
-
In your case I think you should do another "walk-in", because waiting another 20+ plus days to do another biometrics is ridiculously long.
-
I wonder what the problem is, either the employees who handle these cases are incompetent or the system is pathetic. I'm angry just hearing these stories.
-
This problem seems to be happening to people who are doing the "walk-in" to do their biometrics instead of following the actual scheduled date for biometrics. I'm not certainly sure that that is the main cause but it's best to follow whatever they tell you. The other reason maybe due to missteps during the biometrics process. Anyway, I wish you the best.
