My friend was approved for docs so she apply for financial aid and was approved. But when she went to the college they told her she can't get in because she don't have her green card. Can they do that.

My rfe was mail out to me today and I was wondering if I can also use my kids doctor appointment to prove I was in the USA from 08-12? My kids are 4yrs and 7months.

Is it just me or does it seems like everyone who pay a lawyer is getting approve faster?

Hi everyone. Am from brooklyn but I was born in Trinidad. I move here when i was 14 and never went back home. I send in my application August 28th and I did my biometrics two weeks after and i having herad anything back from them. I know the proccess take three months but mines is going of five months. I call them and I check my status online and its still saying Inital Review. Am so confused about what could be taking them so long to let me know something.

What did the RFE ask for?

RFE mean Request For Evidence. USCIS send these latter out of you didn't send in enough evidence.

Call them and let them know this was your lawyer fault and then sue his ass.

Younger people get approves faster because the evidence that they send in for the past five years show that they where in school from 07-12. Anyone who wasn't in school didn't have a job, or kids those years,in and out of hospital etc.... have a harder time proving that they were in the USA from 07-2012 on uninterrupted.

If am missing one month out of the year, will that hurt me?

No I didn't send in anything yet. But they just proved that they were born on that day for that month. It don't cover the hole year.

After receiving your RFE, did your case status updated on the USCIS website?

I heard you start counting after you do your biometrics. I did my biometrics September 20th and am still waiting.

I also did mines in August and am still waiting. I call them today to find out what is going on and I go no help. The people you talk to on the phone dont have any new info for you. The same info you check on USCIS with your receipt number is the same info they ready to you. Make no sense call them.

If you don't find it, all you have to do is change the last number. If your receipt# for I-821 is EAC1234648785 then your I- 765 EAC # last number will go up by one or down by one. Try it and see what it say.

It's a waiting game. I send mines August 20th and it's was accepted August 28 and I didn't hear anything from them after taking my biometrics. Mines is also being process at the Vermont Service Center.
